| When the Kiuwan Local Analyzer uploads the scan results to the Kiuwan SAST web
application (either on-premises or cloud/SaaS solution), the transmitted data
consists of a ZIP archive containing several files, some of them in the
XML file format. During Kiuwan's server-side processing of these XML
files, it resolves external XML entities, resulting in a XML external
entity injection attack. An attacker with privileges to scan
source code within the "Code Security" module is able to extract any
files of the operating system with the rights of the application server
user and is potentially able to gain sensitive files, such as
configuration and passwords. Furthermore, this vulnerability also allows
an attacker to initiate connections to internal systems, e.g. for port
scans or accessing other internal functions / applications such as the
Wildfly admin console of Kiuwan.

| For Kiuwan installations with SSO (single sign-on) enabled, an
unauthenticated reflected cross-site scripting attack can be performed
on the login page "login.html". This is possible due to the request parameter "message" values
being directly included in a JavaScript block in the response. This is
especially critical in business environments using AD SSO
authentication, e.g. via ADFS, where attackers could potentially steal
AD passwords.

| The Top Bar Notification plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 1.12. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on th tbn_ajax_add() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update the plugin's settings and inject malicious web scripts via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. |
| The Kiuwan Local Analyzer (KLA) Java scanning application contains several
hard-coded secrets in plain text format. In some cases, this can
potentially compromise the confidentiality of the scan results. Several credentials were found in the JAR files of the Kiuwan Local Analyzer.
The
JAR file "lib.engine/insight/optimyth-insight.jar" contains the file
"InsightServicesConfig.properties", which has the configuration tokens
"insight.github.user" as well as "insight.github.password" prefilled
with credentials. At least the specified username corresponds to a valid
GitHub account. The
JAR file "lib.engine/insight/optimyth-insight.jar" also contains the
file "es/als/security/Encryptor.properties", in which the key used for
encrypting the results of any performed scan.

| KUNO CMS is a fully deployable full-stack blog application. Versions 1.3.13 and below contain validation flaws in its file upload functionality that can be exploited for stored XSS. The upload endpoint only validates file types based on Content-Type headers, lacks file content analysis and extension whitelist restrictions, allowing attackers to upload SVG files containing malicious scripts (disguised as images). When users access the uploaded resource pages, arbitrary JavaScript executes in their browsers. This issue is fixed in version 1.3.14. |

| Volcano is a Kubernetes-native batch scheduling system. Prior to versions 1.11.2, 1.10.2, 1.9.1, 1.11.0-network-topology-preview.3, and 1.12.0-alpha.2, attacker compromise of either the Elastic service or the extender plugin can cause denial of service of the scheduler. This is a privilege escalation, because Volcano users may run their Elastic service and extender plugins in separate pods or nodes from the scheduler. In the Kubernetes security model, node isolation is a security boundary, and as such an attacker is able to cross that boundary in Volcano's case if they have compromised either the vulnerable services or the pod/node in which they are deployed. The scheduler will become unavailable to other users and workloads in the cluster. The scheduler will either crash with an unrecoverable OOM panic or freeze while consuming excessive amounts of memory. This issue has been patched in versions 1.11.2, 1.10.2, 1.9.1, 1.11.0-network-topology-preview.3, and 1.12.0-alpha.2. |
