CVSS v3.1 |
The WP Component WordPress plugin through 2.2.4 does not have any capability or nonce checks on one of the actions it makes available to unauthenticated users, and it takes both the option name and the option value from the request, allowing unauthenticated attackers to overwrite any of the site's options. On a single site installation this leads to a full takeover, as registration can be enabled with a default role of administrator.
The Temporary Login Without Password WordPress plugin before 1.9.9 does not verify that the user requesting a temporary login holds network super admin rights before granting the new account those rights, allowing an administrator of a single site on a multisite network to take over the whole network. The same missing check also allows an existing account, including the attacker's own, to be promoted.
The Add User Autocomplete WordPress plugin before 1.2 does not perform any capability or nonce check before creating a pending site-membership invitation carrying a caller-supplied role, allowing any authenticated user, such as a subscriber, to grant themselves the administrator role on a multisite installation.
In multiple functions of SmsController.java, there is a possible escalation of privilege due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Improper Privilege Management vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to elevation of privileges.
In kvm_iommu_map_sg of iommu.c, there is a possible use after free due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
A condition in the ScreenConnect client may allow files to be transferred and executed through an active remote session without authorization or Host confirmation in certain circumstances. ScreenConnect servers are not impacted.
The MultiVendorX WordPress plugin before 5.0.16 does not restrict who can update its role and capability settings, allowing users holding its vendor role to grant that role administrator-level capabilities and take over the site.
IBM Aspera Enterprise WebApps 1.0.0 through 1.0.5 could allow a local attacker to escape container protections due to unrestricted system calls being permitted within the container.
The WP EasyCart plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation in versions up to, and including, 5.9.3. This is due to the ec_ajax_save_page_default_options() AJAX handler iterating over every $_POST key and passing it directly into update_option() without any allowlist, while gating the handler only on 'manage_options' OR the plugin's custom 'wpec_manager' capability. The plugin's built-in 'wpec_store_manager' role holds 'wpec_manager' but not 'manage_options', and the required nonce is emitted on frontend product/category templates that render for any user with 'wpec_manager'. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Store Manager-level access and above, to elevate their privileges to administrator by updating arbitrary WordPress options such as default_role='administrator' and users_can_register='1', then self-registering a new account that is assigned the administrator role.
The YITH WooCommerce Waitlist Premium plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in versions up to, and including, 3.35.0. This is due to the add_user_in_waiting_list() function registered on the wp_ajax_yith_wcwtl_add_user action being missing both a capability check and a nonce verification, and using parse_str() + extract() to import attacker-controlled variables from $_POST['params'] that are then passed to wp_create_user() and $user->set_role(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to elevate their privileges to that of an administrator by creating a new user account and assigning it the administrator role.
A vulnerability in the ClearPass OnGuard agent could allow an authenticated remote attacker to elevate their own privileges on a vulnerable ClearPass OnGuard deployment. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to obtain root privileges, leading to potentially unauthorized operation of the vulnerable system.
The Registration Form for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 1.1.3 does not validate that the form referenced during registration is a legitimate registration form, reading the permitted-role allow-list from an arbitrary attacker-controlled post instead. A user able to create a post (Contributor and above) can therefore register a new account with an arbitrary role, including Administrator, leading to full site takeover. This is an incomplete fix of CVE-2026-54807.
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: s390: vsie: zero stale crypto bits
When shadowing crypto access bits from a format0 apcb (crycb 0 or 1),
the bits 64..255 are unchanged from whatever is in the vsie page in the
crycb and thus in the apcb. This gives a nested guest potential access
to a device no longer available. Zero out the remaining bits. |
Insecure Permission vulnerability in MBS-Solutions X-Serie Gateway firmware V6_00_05 allows the low-privileged service user to execute /usr/bin/tcpdump as root without a password. By leveraging the tcpdump -z option, an authenticated attacker can achieve arbitrary command execution.
An issue in slimkit plus ThinkSNS+ v.2.4 allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges via the ResetPasswordController.php component
Snipe-IT before 8.7.0 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in Livewire components that enforce authorization only at the route level, not within component lifecycle methods. Attackers with a valid authenticated session can replay signed component snapshots via POST /livewire/update to invoke protected methods and escalate privileges, including creating OAuth clients, minting personal access tokens, and accessing sensitive admin data.
A flaw was found in hawtio-operator. The operator's ClusterRole grants secrets: [create, get, list, update, watch] across all namespaces. While the operator uses a controller-runtime label-selector cache as a memory optimization, the ServiceAccount token authorizes read access to every Secret in the cluster. The operator also bypasses the cache via direct API calls. Compromise of the operator pod would yield read access to every Secret in the cluster, including bootstrap tokens, cloud credentials, and other operators' secrets.
The WP Fusion (Pro) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 3.47.13. This is due to insufficient authorization checks on the role parameter in the ThriveCart Auto Login handler's thrivecart() function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, and who possess the access_key, to create a new user account with administrator privileges and gain full control over the WordPress site. The required access_key is intentionally shared with ThriveCart customers as part of the plugin's documented setup process, making it accessible to attackers who have made a purchase. The vulnerability is only exploitable when the ThriveCart Auto Login option is enabled.
A flaw was found in konflux-operator-tasks. The GitHub workflows used by this component do not explicitly define their required permissions. This oversight means the workflows may inherit default access tokens that grant broader privileges than intended. Such excessive permissions could potentially allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access or perform actions beyond the intended scope, leading to information disclosure or unauthorized modifications.
