CVE-2013-2071 2 Apache, Redhat 2 Tomcat, Jboss Enterprise Web Server 2025-04-11 N/A
java/org/apache/catalina/core/AsyncContextImpl.java in Apache Tomcat 7.x before 7.0.40 does not properly handle the throwing of a RuntimeException in an AsyncListener in an application, which allows context-dependent attackers to obtain sensitive request information intended for other applications in opportunistic circumstances via an application that records the requests that it processes.
CVE-2011-2481 1 Apache 1 Tomcat 2025-04-11 N/A
Apache Tomcat 7.0.x before 7.0.17 permits web applications to replace an XML parser used for other web applications, which allows local users to read or modify the (1) web.xml, (2) context.xml, or (3) tld files of arbitrary web applications via a crafted application that is loaded earlier than the target application. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of a CVE-2009-0783 regression.
CVE-2011-0013 2 Apache, Redhat 3 Tomcat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Web Server 2025-04-11 N/A
Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the HTML Manager Interface in Apache Tomcat 5.5 before 5.5.32, 6.0 before 6.0.30, and 7.0 before 7.0.6 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, as demonstrated via the display-name tag.
CVE-2012-2733 2 Apache, Redhat 2 Tomcat, Jboss Enterprise Web Server 2025-04-11 N/A
java/org/apache/coyote/http11/InternalNioInputBuffer.java in the HTTP NIO connector in Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.36 and 7.x before 7.0.28 does not properly restrict the request-header size, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a large amount of header data.
CVE-2011-2526 2 Apache, Redhat 9 Tomcat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Communications Platform and 6 more 2025-04-11 N/A
Apache Tomcat 5.5.x before 5.5.34, 6.x before 6.0.33, and 7.x before 7.0.19, when sendfile is enabled for the HTTP APR or HTTP NIO connector, does not validate certain request attributes, which allows local users to bypass intended file access restrictions or cause a denial of service (infinite loop or JVM crash) by leveraging an untrusted web application.
CVE-2013-0346 1 Apache 1 Tomcat 2025-04-11 N/A
Apache Tomcat 7.x uses world-readable permissions for the log directory and its files, which might allow local users to obtain sensitive information by reading a file. NOTE: One Tomcat distributor has stated "The tomcat log directory does not contain any sensitive information."
CVE-2011-0534 2 Apache, Redhat 3 Tomcat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Web Server 2025-04-11 N/A
Apache Tomcat 7.0.0 through 7.0.6 and 6.0.0 through 6.0.30 does not enforce the maxHttpHeaderSize limit for requests involving the NIO HTTP connector, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (OutOfMemoryError) via a crafted request.
CVE-2011-4858 2 Apache, Redhat 10 Tomcat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Communications Platform and 7 more 2025-04-11 N/A
Apache Tomcat before 5.5.35, 6.x before 6.0.35, and 7.x before 7.0.23 computes hash values for form parameters without restricting the ability to trigger hash collisions predictably, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) by sending many crafted parameters.
CVE-2011-3190 2 Apache, Redhat 3 Tomcat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Web Server 2025-04-11 N/A
Certain AJP protocol connector implementations in Apache Tomcat 7.0.0 through 7.0.20, 6.0.0 through 6.0.33, 5.5.0 through 5.5.33, and possibly other versions allow remote attackers to spoof AJP requests, bypass authentication, and obtain sensitive information by causing the connector to interpret a request body as a new request.
CVE-2010-4312 1 Apache 1 Tomcat 2025-04-11 N/A
The default configuration of Apache Tomcat 6.x does not include the HTTPOnly flag in a Set-Cookie header, which makes it easier for remote attackers to hijack a session via script access to a cookie.
CVE-2011-1582 1 Apache 1 Tomcat 2025-04-11 N/A
Apache Tomcat 7.0.12 and 7.0.13 processes the first request to a servlet without following security constraints that have been configured through annotations, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions via HTTP requests. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2011-1088, CVE-2011-1183, and CVE-2011-1419.
CVE-2013-2185 2 Apache, Redhat 3 Tomcat, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Portal Platform 2025-04-11 N/A
The readObject method in the DiskFileItem class in Apache Tomcat and JBoss Web, as used in Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6.1.0 and Red Hat JBoss Portal 6.0.0, allows remote attackers to write to arbitrary files via a NULL byte in a file name in a serialized instance, a similar issue to CVE-2013-2186. NOTE: this issue is reportedly disputed by the Apache Tomcat team, although Red Hat considers it a vulnerability. The dispute appears to regard whether it is the responsibility of applications to avoid providing untrusted data to be deserialized, or whether this class should inherently protect against this issue
CVE-2023-28709 4 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 1 more 5 Tomcat, Debian Linux, 7-mode Transition Tool and 2 more 2025-02-13 7.5 High
The fix for CVE-2023-24998 was incomplete for Apache Tomcat 11.0.0-M2 to 11.0.0-M4, 10.1.5 to 10.1.7, 9.0.71 to 9.0.73 and 8.5.85 to 8.5.87. If non-default HTTP connector settings were used such that the maxParameterCount could be reached using query string parameters and a request was submitted that supplied exactly maxParameterCount parameters in the query string, the limit for uploaded request parts could be bypassed with the potential for a denial of service to occur.
CVE-2023-34981 1 Apache 1 Tomcat 2025-02-13 7.5 High
A regression in the fix for bug 66512 in Apache Tomcat 11.0.0-M5, 10.1.8, 9.0.74 and 8.5.88 meant that, if a response did not include any HTTP headers no AJP SEND_HEADERS messare woudl be sent for the response which in turn meant that at least one AJP proxy (mod_proxy_ajp) would use the response headers from the previous request leading to an information leak.
CVE-2020-17527 5 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 2 more 15 Tomcat, Debian Linux, Element Plug-in and 12 more 2025-02-13 7.5 High
While investigating bug 64830 it was discovered that Apache Tomcat 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.0-M9, 9.0.0-M1 to 9.0.39 and 8.5.0 to 8.5.59 could re-use an HTTP request header value from the previous stream received on an HTTP/2 connection for the request associated with the subsequent stream. While this would most likely lead to an error and the closure of the HTTP/2 connection, it is possible that information could leak between requests.
CVE-2023-41081 2 Apache, Redhat 3 Tomcat Connectors, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services 2024-11-21 7.5 High
Important: Authentication Bypass CVE-2023-41081 The mod_jk component of Apache Tomcat Connectors in some circumstances, such as when a configuration included "JkOptions +ForwardDirectories" but the configuration did not provide explicit mounts for all possible proxied requests, mod_jk would use an implicit mapping and map the request to the first defined worker. Such an implicit mapping could result in the unintended exposure of the status worker and/or bypass security constraints configured in httpd. As of JK 1.2.49, the implicit mapping functionality has been removed and all mappings must now be via explicit configuration. Only mod_jk is affected by this issue. The ISAPI redirector is not affected. This issue affects Apache Tomcat Connectors (mod_jk only): from 1.2.0 through 1.2.48. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.2.49, which fixes the issue. CVE-2022-45143 2 Apache, Redhat 4 Tomcat, Jboss Enterprise Web Server, Jboss Fuse and 1 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
The JsonErrorReportValve in Apache Tomcat 8.5.83, 9.0.40 to 9.0.68 and 10.1.0-M1 to 10.1.1 did not escape the type, message or description values. In some circumstances these are constructed from user provided data and it was therefore possible for users to supply values that invalidated or manipulated the JSON output.
CVE-2022-29885 3 Apache, Debian, Oracle 3 Tomcat, Debian Linux, Hospitality Cruise Shipboard Property Management System 2024-11-21 7.5 High
The documentation of Apache Tomcat 10.1.0-M1 to 10.1.0-M14, 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.20, 9.0.13 to 9.0.62 and 8.5.38 to 8.5.78 for the EncryptInterceptor incorrectly stated it enabled Tomcat clustering to run over an untrusted network. This was not correct. While the EncryptInterceptor does provide confidentiality and integrity protection, it does not protect against all risks associated with running over any untrusted network, particularly DoS risks.
CVE-2022-23181 4 Apache, Debian, Oracle and 1 more 10 Tomcat, Debian Linux, Agile Engineering Data Management and 7 more 2024-11-21 7.0 High
The fix for bug CVE-2020-9484 introduced a time of check, time of use vulnerability into Apache Tomcat 10.1.0-M1 to 10.1.0-M8, 10.0.0-M5 to 10.0.14, 9.0.35 to 9.0.56 and 8.5.55 to 8.5.73 that allowed a local attacker to perform actions with the privileges of the user that the Tomcat process is using. This issue is only exploitable when Tomcat is configured to persist sessions using the FileStore.
CVE-2021-42340 5 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 2 more 22 Tomcat, Debian Linux, Hci and 19 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
The fix for bug 63362 present in Apache Tomcat 10.1.0-M1 to 10.1.0-M5, 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.11, 9.0.40 to 9.0.53 and 8.5.60 to 8.5.71 introduced a memory leak. The object introduced to collect metrics for HTTP upgrade connections was not released for WebSocket connections once the connection was closed. This created a memory leak that, over time, could lead to a denial of service via an OutOfMemoryError.
