CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in the ABRT daemon’s handling of user-supplied mount information.ABRT copies up to 12 characters from an untrusted input and places them directly into a shell command (docker inspect %s) without proper validation. An unprivileged local user can craft a payload that injects shell metacharacters, causing the root-running ABRT process to execute attacker-controlled commands and ultimately gain full root privileges. |
| An unauthenticated attacker with network access to the affected device's web interface can execute any system command via the "msg_events.php" script as the www-data user. The HTTP GET parameter "data" is not properly sanitized. |
| Malicious software running in a guest VM can exploit the buffer overflow to achieve code execution on the host in the bhyve userspace process, which typically runs as root. Note that bhyve runs in a Capsicum sandbox, so malicious code is constrained by the capabilities available to the bhyve process. |
| In the Mullvad VPN client 2024.6 (Desktop), 2024.8 (iOS), and 2024.8-beta1 (Android), the exception-handling alternate stack can be exhausted, leading to heap-based out-of-bounds writes in enable() in exception_logging/unix.rs, aka MLLVD-CR-24-01. NOTE: achieving code execution is considered non-trivial. |
| There are multiple unauthorized remote command execution vulnerabilities in the H3C ER2200G2, ERG2-450W, ERG2-1200W, ERG2-1350W, NR1200W series routers before ERG2AW-MNW100-R1117; H3C ER3100G2, ER3200G2, ER3260G2, ER5100G2, ER5200G2, ER6300G2, ER8300G2, ER8300G2-X series routers before ERHMG2-MNW100-R1126; GR3200, GR5200, GR8300 and other series routers before MiniGR1B0V100R018L50; GR-1800AX before MiniGRW1B0V100R009L50; GR-3000AX before SWBRW1A0V100R007L50; and GR-5400AX before SWBRW1B0V100R009L50. Attackers can bypass authentication by including specially crafted text in the request URL or message header, and then inject arbitrary malicious commands into some fields related to ACL access control list and user group functions and execute to obtain the highest ROOT privileges of remote devices, thereby completely taking over the remote target devices. |
| Framelink Figma MCP Server fetchWithRetry Command Injection Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Framelink Figma MCP Server. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the implementation of the fetchWithRetry method. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to execute a system call. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the service account. Was ZDI-CAN-27877. |
| Ollama MCP Server execAsync Command Injection Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Ollama MCP Server. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the implementation of the execAsync method. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to execute a system call. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the service account. Was ZDI-CAN-27683. |
| An OS Command Injection vulnerability exists in the Infinxt iEdge 100 2.1.32 Troubleshoot module, specifically in the tracertVal parameter of the Tracert function. |
| Zoraxy is a general purpose HTTP reverse proxy and forwarding tool. A command injection vulnerability in the Web SSH feature allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands as root on the host. Zoraxy has a Web SSH terminal feature that allows authenticated users to connect to SSH servers from their browsers. In HandleCreateProxySession the request to create an SSH session is handled. An attacker can exploit the username variable to escape from the bash command and inject arbitrary commands into sshCommand. This is possible, because, unlike hostname and port, the username is not validated or sanitized. |
| A vulnerability in the UDP packet validation code of Cisco SD-WAN vEdge Software could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected system.
This vulnerability is due to incorrect handling of a specific type of malformed UDP packet. An attacker in a machine-in-the-middle position could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted UDP packets to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to reboot, resulting in a DoS condition on the affected system. |
| An OS command injection vulnerability exists in sar2html version 3.2.2 and prior via the plot parameter in index.php. The application fails to sanitize user-supplied input before using it in a system-level context. Remote, unauthenticated attackers can inject shell commands by appending them to the plot parameter (e.g., ?plot=;id) in a crafted GET request. The output of the command is displayed in the application's interface after interacting with the host selection UI. Successful exploitation leads to arbitrary command execution on the underlying system. Exploitation evidence was observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2025-02-04 UTC. |
| An OS command injection vulnerability exists in the OptiLink ONT1GEW GPON router firmware version V2.1.11_X101 Build 1127.190306 and earlier. The router’s web management interface fails to properly sanitize user input in the target_addr parameter of the formTracert and formPing administrative endpoints. An authenticated attacker can inject arbitrary operating system commands, which are executed with root privileges, leading to remote code execution. Successful exploitation enables full compromise of the device. Exploitation evidence was observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2025-02-04 UTC. |
| An OS Command Injection vulnerability exists within myPRO Manager. A parameter within a command can be exploited by an unauthenticated remote attacker to inject arbitrary operating system commands. |
| iOS Simulator MCP Server (ios-simulator-mcp) is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for interacting with iOS simulators. Versions prior to 1.3.3 are written in a way that is vulnerable to command injection vulnerability attacks as part of some of its MCP Server tool definition and implementation. The MCP Server exposes the tool `ui_tap` which relies on Node.js child process API `exec` which is an unsafe and vulnerable API if concatenated with untrusted user input. LLM exposed user input for `duration`, `udid`, and `x` and `y` args can be replaced with shell meta-characters like `;` or `&&` or others to change the behavior from running the expected command `idb` to another command. When LLMs are tricked through prompt injection (and other techniques and attack vectors) to call the tool with input that uses special shell characters such as `; rm -rf /tmp;#` and other payload variations, the full command-line text will be interepted by the shell and result in other commands except of `ps` executing on the host running the MCP Server. Version 1.3.3 contains a patch for the issue. |
| Nuclei is a fast and customizable vulnerability scanner based on simple YAML based DSL. In affected versions it a way to execute code template without -code option and signature has been discovered. Some web applications inherit from Nuclei and allow users to edit and execute workflow files. In this case, users can execute arbitrary commands. (Although, as far as I know, most web applications use -t to execute). This issue has been addressed in version 3.3.0. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. |
| VPN Firewall developed by QNO Technology has an OS Command Injection vulnerability, allowing authenticated remote attackers to inject arbitrary OS commands and execute them on the server. |
| OS command injection vulnerabilities in GE HealthCare ultrasound devices |
| An unauthenticated command injection vulnerability exists in AVTECH DVR devices via Search.cgi?action=cgi_query. The use of wget without input sanitization allows attackers to inject shell commands through the username or queryb64str parameters, executing commands as root. Exploitation evidence was observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2025-01-04 UTC. |
| A vulnerability in the CLI of the Cisco Integrated Management Controller (IMC) could allow an authenticated, local attacker to perform command injection attacks on the underlying operating system and elevate privileges to root. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have read-only or higher privileges on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted CLI command. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to elevate privileges to root. |
| Authenticated command injection vulnerability exists in the ArubaOS command line interface. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability result in the ability to inject shell commands on the underlying operating system. |
