CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drivers/base/memory: fix memory block reference leak in poison accounting
memblk_nr_poison_inc() and memblk_nr_poison_sub() look up a memory block
via find_memory_block_by_id(), which acquires a reference to the memory
block device.
Both helpers use the returned memory block without dropping that
reference, leaking the device reference on each successful lookup. Drop
the reference after updating nr_hwpoison. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
efi: Allocate runtime workqueue before ACPI init
Since commit
5894cf571e14 ("acpi/prmt: Use EFI runtime sandbox to invoke PRM handlers")
ACPI PRM calls are delegated to a workqueue which runs in a kernel
thread, making it easier to detect and mitigate faulting memory accesses
performed by the firmware.
Rafael reports that such PRM accesses may occur before efisubsys_init()
executes, which is where the workqueue is allocated, leading to NULL
pointer dereferences. Since acpi_init() [which triggers the early PRM
accesses] executes as a subsys_initcall() as well, and has its own
dependencies that may be sensitive to initcall ordering, deferring
acpi_init() is not an option.
So instead, split off the workqueue allocation into its own postcore
initcall, as this is the only missing piece to allow EFI runtime calls
to be made. This ensures that EFI runtime call (including PRM calls) are
accessible to all code running at subsys_initcall() level. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/damon/sysfs-schemes: call missing mem_cgroup_iter_break()
damon_sysfs_memcg_path_to_id() breaks mem_cgroup_iter() loop without
calling mem_cgroup_iter_break(). This leaks the cgroup reference. Fix
the issue by calling mem_cgroup_iter_break() before the break.
The issue was discovered [1] by Sashiko. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sysfs: don't remove existing directory on update failure
When sysfs_update_group() is called for a named group and create_files()
fails (e.g. -ENOMEM), internal_create_group() calls kernfs_remove(kn) on
the group directory. In the update path, kn was obtained via
kernfs_find_and_get() and refers to a directory that already existed
before this call. Removing it silently destroys a sysfs group that the
caller did not create.
Only remove the directory if we created it ourselves. On update failure
the directory remains as it is left empty by remove_files() inside
create_files(), but can be repopulated by a retry. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommu/amd: Remove latent out-of-bounds access in IOMMU debugfs
In iommu_mmio_write() and iommu_capability_write(), the variables
dbg_mmio_offset and dbg_cap_offset are declared as int. However, they
are populated using kstrtou32_from_user(). If a user provides a
sufficiently large value, it can become a negative integer.
Prior to this patch, the AMD IOMMU debugfs implementation was already
protected by different mechanisms.
1. #define OFS_IN_SZ 8 ensures the user string <= 8 bytes, so
e.g. 0xffffffff isn't a valid input.
if (cnt > OFS_IN_SZ)
return -EINVAL;
2. Implicit type promotion in iommu_mmio_write(), dbg_mmio_offset is int
and iommu->mmio_phys_end is u64
if (dbg_mmio_offset > iommu->mmio_phys_end - sizeof(u64))
return -EINVAL;
3. The show handlers would currently catch the negative number and
refuse to perform the read.
Replace kstrtou32_from_user() with kstrtos32_from_user() to parse the
input, and check for negative values to explicitly prevent out-of-bounds
memory accesses directly in iommu_mmio_write() and
iommu_capability_write(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfs: fail recovery on a committed log item with no regions
If the first op of a transaction is a bare transaction header
(len == sizeof(struct xfs_trans_header)), xlog_recover_add_to_trans()
adds an item but no region, leaving it on r_itemq with ri_cnt == 0 and
ri_buf == NULL.
The header can be split across op records, so later ops may still add
regions; the item is only invalid if the transaction commits with none.
The runtime commit path never emits such a transaction, so this only
happens on a crafted log. It came from an AI-assisted code audit of the
recovery parser.
xlog_recover_reorder_trans() calls ITEM_TYPE() on the item, which reads
*(unsigned short *)item->ri_buf[0].iov_base and faults on the NULL
ri_buf. Reject it there, before the commit handlers that also read
ri_buf[0].

| FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.30.0, FreeRDP's winpr/libwinpr/sspi/Kerberos/kerberos.c kerberos_DecryptMessage function fails to bound the peer-controlled GSS Wrap-token EC field before using it with RRC in IOV pointer offsets, allowing a malicious RDP peer to trigger out-of-bounds reads and in-place writes during CredSSP/NLA Kerberos decryption. This issue is fixed in version 3.30.0. |
| FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.30.0, FreeRDP server-side RDSTLS in libfreerdp/core/rdstls.c accepts an attacker-supplied RDSTLS_TYPE_CAPABILITIES PDU while rdstls_server_authenticate is waiting for RDSTLS_TYPE_AUTHREQ, leaving resultCode at RDSTLS_RESULT_SUCCESS and allowing a remote unauthenticated client to bypass the RedirectionGuid, username, domain, or password checks. This issue is fixed in version 3.30.0. |
| FreeCAD is a free and open-source multiplatform 3D parametric modeler. Prior to 1.1.2, the Xerces SAX2 XMLReader constructed in src/Base/Reader.cpp by Base::XMLReader::XMLReader() parses attacker-controlled Document.xml from a crafted .FCStd archive without disabling default external entity resolution or external DTD loading. When Document::restore() opens the document, external entities can read local files through the file URI scheme or initiate server-side requests through the http URI scheme, and resolved content can flow through the characters() callback. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.2. |
| A vulnerability in the TLS handler of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software for Cisco Firepower 1000 Series firewalls could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information. The vulnerability is due to improper implementation of countermeasures against the Bleichenbacher attack for cipher suites that rely on RSA for key exchange. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted TLS messages to the device, which would act as an oracle and allow the attacker to carry out a chosen-ciphertext attack. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to perform cryptanalytic operations that may allow decryption of previously captured TLS sessions to the affected device. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must be able to perform both of the following actions: Capture TLS traffic that is in transit between clients and the affected device Actively establish a considerable number of TLS connections to the affected device |
| A vulnerability in the software cryptography module of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker or an unauthenticated attacker in a man-in-the-middle position to cause an unexpected reload of the device that results in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to a logic error in how the software cryptography module handles specific types of decryption errors. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending malicious packets over an established IPsec connection. A successful exploit could cause the device to crash, forcing it to reload. Important: Successful exploitation of this vulnerability would not cause a compromise of any encrypted data. Note: This vulnerability affects only Cisco ASA Software Release 9.16.1 and Cisco FTD Software Release 7.0.0. |
| A vulnerability in the web services interface of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass a configured access rule and access parts of the WebVPN portal that are supposed to be blocked. The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of URLs when portal access rules are configured. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by accessing certain URLs on the affected device. |
| Multiple vulnerabilities in the web services interface of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks against a user of the web services interface of an affected device. The vulnerabilities are due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input by the web services interface of an affected device. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by persuading a user of the interface to click a crafted link. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the interface or allow the attacker to access sensitive, browser-based information. Note: These vulnerabilities affect only specific AnyConnect and WebVPN configurations. For more information, see the Vulnerable Products section. |

| FreeCAD is a free and open-source multiplatform 3D parametric modeler. Prior to 1.1.2, PropertyFileIncluded::Restore() in src/App/PropertyFile.cpp concatenates an attacker-controlled file or data attribute from Document.xml with the document transient path without rejecting directory components, absolute paths, or parent traversal. A crafted .FCStd archive with a matching FileIncluded XML attribute and ZIP entry can therefore write attacker-controlled content to arbitrary locations accessible to the FreeCAD user, potentially enabling persistence, credential compromise, configuration replacement, or code execution. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.2. |
| A vulnerability in the OSPF protocol of Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an authenticated, adjacent attacker to exhaust memory on an affected device, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition.
This vulnerability is due to improperly validating input by the OSPF protocol when parsing packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by by sending crafted OSPF packets to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to exhaust memory on the affected device, resulting in a DoS condition. |
| A vulnerability in the SAML 2.0 single sign-on (SSO) feature of Cisco Secure Firewall ASA Software and Secure FTD Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the device to reload unexpectedly, resulting in a DoS condition.
This vulnerability is due to insufficient error checking when processing SAML messages. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted SAML messages to the SAML service. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to reload, resulting in a DoS condition. |
| A vulnerability in the TLS processing feature of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software for Cisco Firepower 2100 Series could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device.
This vulnerability is due to an issue that occurs when TLS traffic is processed. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending certain TLS traffic over IPv4 through an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to reload, resulting in a DoS condition and impacting traffic to and through the affected device. |
