CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KEYS: trusted: dcp: fix improper sg use with CONFIG_VMAP_STACK=y
With vmalloc stack addresses enabled (CONFIG_VMAP_STACK=y) DCP trusted
keys can crash during en- and decryption of the blob encryption key via
the DCP crypto driver. This is caused by improperly using sg_init_one()
with vmalloc'd stack buffers (plain_key_blob).
Fix this by always using kmalloc() for buffers we give to the DCP crypto
driver. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
PCI: dwc: ep: Prevent changing BAR size/flags in pci_epc_set_bar()
In commit 4284c88fff0e ("PCI: designware-ep: Allow pci_epc_set_bar() update
inbound map address") set_bar() was modified to support dynamically
changing the backing physical address of a BAR that was already configured.
This means that set_bar() can be called twice, without ever calling
clear_bar() (as calling clear_bar() would clear the BAR's PCI address
assigned by the host).
This can only be done if the new BAR size/flags does not differ from the
existing BAR configuration. Add these missing checks.
If we allow set_bar() to set e.g. a new BAR size that differs from the
existing BAR size, the new address translation range will be smaller than
the BAR size already determined by the host, which would mean that a read
past the new BAR size would pass the iATU untranslated, which could allow
the host to read memory not belonging to the new struct pci_epf_bar.
While at it, add comments which clarifies the support for dynamically
changing the physical address of a BAR. (Which was also missing.) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
powerpc/pseries/iommu: IOMMU incorrectly marks MMIO range in DDW
Power Hypervisor can possibily allocate MMIO window intersecting with
Dynamic DMA Window (DDW) range, which is over 32-bit addressing.
These MMIO pages needs to be marked as reserved so that IOMMU doesn't map
DMA buffers in this range.
The current code is not marking these pages correctly which is resulting
in LPAR to OOPS while booting. The stack is at below

There are 2 issues in the code
1. The index is "int" while the address is "unsigned long". This results in
negative value when setting the bitmap.
2. The DMA offset is page shifted but the MMIO range is used as-is (64-bit
address). MMIO address needs to be page shifted as well. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: core: Fix assumption that Resolution Multipliers must be in Logical Collections
A report in 2019 by the syzbot fuzzer was found to be connected to two
errors in the HID core associated with Resolution Multipliers. One of
the errors was fixed by commit ea427a222d8b ("HID: core: Fix deadloop
in hid_apply_multiplier."), but the other has not been fixed.
This error arises because hid_apply_multipler() assumes that every
Resolution Multiplier control is contained in a Logical Collection,
i.e., there's no way the routine can ever set multiplier_collection to
NULL. This is in spite of the fact that the function starts with a
big comment saying:
* "The Resolution Multiplier control must be contained in the same
* Logical Collection as the control(s) to which it is to be applied.
...
* If no Logical Collection is
* defined, the Resolution Multiplier is associated with all
* controls in the report."
* HID Usage Table, v1.12, Section 4.3.1, p30
*
* Thus, search from the current collection upwards until we find a
* logical collection...
The comment and the code overlook the possibility that none of the
collections found may be a Logical Collection.
The fix is to set the multiplier_collection pointer to NULL if the
collection found isn't a Logical Collection. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
firmware: qcom: scm: Cleanup global '__scm' on probe failures
If SCM driver fails the probe, it should not leave global '__scm'
variable assigned, because external users of this driver will assume the
probe finished successfully. For example TZMEM parts ('__scm->mempool')
are initialized later in the probe, but users of it (__scm_smc_call())
rely on the '__scm' variable.
This fixes theoretical NULL pointer exception, triggered via introducing
probe deferral in SCM driver with call trace:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Revert "libfs: fix infinite directory reads for offset dir"
The current directory offset allocator (based on mtree_alloc_cyclic)
stores the next offset value to return in octx->next_offset. This
mechanism typically returns values that increase monotonically over
time. Eventually, though, the newly allocated offset value wraps
back to a low number (say, 2) which is smaller than other already-
allocated offset values.
Yu Kuai <yukuai3@huawei.com> reports that, after commit 64a7ce76fb90
("libfs: fix infinite directory reads for offset dir"), if a
directory's offset allocator wraps, existing entries are no longer
visible via readdir/getdents because offset_readdir() stops listing
entries once an entry's offset is larger than octx->next_offset.
These entries vanish persistently -- they can be looked up, but will
never again appear in readdir(3) output.
The reason for this is that the commit treats directory offsets as
monotonically increasing integer values rather than opaque cookies,
and introduces this comparison:
if (dentry2offset(dentry) >= last_index) {
On 64-bit platforms, the directory offset value upper bound is
2^63 - 1. Directory offsets will monotonically increase for millions
of years without wrapping.
On 32-bit platforms, however, LONG_MAX is 2^31 - 1. The allocator
can wrap after only a few weeks (at worst).
Revert commit 64a7ce76fb90 ("libfs: fix infinite directory reads for
offset dir") to prepare for a fix that can work properly on 32-bit
systems and might apply to recent LTS kernels where shmem employs
the simple_offset mechanism. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/bnxt_re: Fix max SGEs for the Work Request
Gen P7 supports up to 13 SGEs for now. WQE software structure
can hold only 6 now. Since the max send sge is reported as
13, the stack can give requests up to 13 SGEs. This is causing
traffic failures and system crashes.
Use the define for max SGE supported for variable size. This
will work for both static and variable WQEs. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amd/display: fix page fault due to max surface definition mismatch
DC driver is using two different values to define the maximum number of
surfaces: MAX_SURFACES and MAX_SURFACE_NUM. Consolidate MAX_SURFACES as
the unique definition for surface updates across DC.
It fixes page fault faced by Cosmic users on AMD display versions that
support two overlay planes, since the introduction of cursor overlay
mode.

wifi: mac80211: fix mbss changed flags corruption on 32 bit systems
On 32-bit systems, the size of an unsigned long is 4 bytes,
while a u64 is 8 bytes. Therefore, when using
or_each_set_bit(bit, &bits, sizeof(changed) * BITS_PER_BYTE),
the code is incorrectly searching for a bit in a 32-bit
variable that is expected to be 64 bits in size,
leading to incorrect bit finding.
Solution: Ensure that the size of the bits variable is correctly
adjusted for each architecture.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
block: RCU protect disk->conv_zones_bitmap
Ensure that a disk revalidation changing the conventional zones bitmap
of a disk does not cause invalid memory references when using the
disk_zone_is_conv() helper by RCU protecting the disk->conv_zones_bitmap
pointer.
disk_zone_is_conv() is modified to operate under the RCU read lock and
the function disk_set_conv_zones_bitmap() is added to update a disk
conv_zones_bitmap pointer using rcu_replace_pointer() with the disk
zone_wplugs_lock spinlock held.
disk_free_zone_resources() is modified to call
disk_update_zone_resources() with a NULL bitmap pointer to free the disk
conv_zones_bitmap. disk_set_conv_zones_bitmap() is also used in
disk_update_zone_resources() to set the new (revalidated) bitmap and
free the old one. |

scsi: mpi3mr: Fix corrupt config pages PHY state is switched in sysfs
The driver, through the SAS transport, exposes a sysfs interface to
enable/disable PHYs in a controller/expander setup. When multiple PHYs
are disabled and enabled in rapid succession, the persistent and current
config pages related to SAS IO unit/SAS Expander pages could get
corrupted.
Use separate memory for each config request. |

dlm: fix dlm_recover_members refcount on error
If dlm_recover_members() fails we don't drop the references of the
previous created root_list that holds and keep all rsbs alive during the
recovery. It might be not an unlikely event because ping_members() could
run into an -EINTR if another recovery progress was triggered again. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: stmmac: fix TSO DMA API usage causing oops
Commit 66600fac7a98 ("net: stmmac: TSO: Fix unbalanced DMA map/unmap
for non-paged SKB data") moved the assignment of tx_skbuff_dma[]'s
members to be later in stmmac_tso_xmit().
The buf (dma cookie) and len stored in this structure are passed to
dma_unmap_single() by stmmac_tx_clean(). The DMA API requires that
the dma cookie passed to dma_unmap_single() is the same as the value
returned from dma_map_single(). However, by moving the assignment
later, this is not the case when priv->dma_cap.addr64 > 32 as "des"
is offset by proto_hdr_len.
This causes problems such as:
dwc-eth-dwmac 2490000.ethernet eth0: Tx DMA map failed
and with DMA_API_DEBUG enabled:
DMA-API: dwc-eth-dwmac 2490000.ethernet: device driver tries to +free DMA memory it has not allocated [device address=0x000000ffffcf65c0] [size=66 bytes]
Fix this by maintaining "des" as the original DMA cookie, and use
tso_des to pass the offset DMA cookie to stmmac_tso_allocator().

net: mscc: ocelot: fix incorrect IFH SRC_PORT field in ocelot_ifh_set_basic()
Packets injected by the CPU should have a SRC_PORT field equal to the
CPU port module index in the Analyzer block (ocelot->num_phys_ports).
The blamed commit copied the ocelot_ifh_set_basic() call incorrectly
from ocelot_xmit_common() in net/dsa/tag_ocelot.c. Instead of calling
with "x", it calls with BIT_ULL(x), but the field is not a port mask,
but rather a single port index.
[ side note: this is the technical debt of code duplication :( ]

user-visible manifestations, but with new changes in the packing
library, it now fails loudly as follows:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring: check if iowq is killed before queuing
task work can be executed after the task has gone through io_uring
termination, whether it's the final task_work run or the fallback path.
In this case, task work will find ->io_wq being already killed and
null'ed, which is a problem if it then tries to forward the request to
io_queue_iowq(). Make io_queue_iowq() fail requests in this case.
Note that it also checks PF_KTHREAD, because the user can first close
a DEFER_TASKRUN ring and shortly after kill the task, in which case
->iowq check would race. |
