CVSS v3.1 |
| Due to a failure in validating the number of scanline samples of a OpenEXR file containing deep scanline data, Academy Software Foundation OpenEX image parsing library version 3.2.1 and prior is susceptible to a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability. This issue was resolved as of versions v3.2.2 and v3.1.12 of the affected library. |
| Due to failure in validating the length provided by an attacker-crafted PPD PostScript document, CUPS and libppd are susceptible to a heap-based buffer overflow and possibly code execution. This issue has been fixed in CUPS version 2.4.7, released in September of 2023. |
| GIMP HDR File Parsing Heap-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of GIMP. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of HDR files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-27803. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: ath11k: update channel list in reg notifier instead reg worker
Currently when ath11k gets a new channel list, it will be processed
according to the following steps:
1. update new channel list to cfg80211 and queue reg_work.
2. cfg80211 handles new channel list during reg_work.
3. update cfg80211's handled channel list to firmware by
ath11k_reg_update_chan_list().
But ath11k will immediately execute step 3 after reg_work is just
queued. Since step 2 is asynchronous, cfg80211 may not have completed
handling the new channel list, which may leading to an out-of-bounds
write error:
BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ath11k_reg_update_chan_list
Call Trace:
ath11k_reg_update_chan_list+0xbfe/0xfe0 [ath11k]
kfree+0x109/0x3a0
ath11k_regd_update+0x1cf/0x350 [ath11k]
ath11k_regd_update_work+0x14/0x20 [ath11k]
process_one_work+0xe35/0x14c0
Should ensure step 2 is completely done before executing step 3. Thus
Wen raised patch[1]. When flag NL80211_REGDOM_SET_BY_DRIVER is set,
cfg80211 will notify ath11k after step 2 is done.
So enable the flag NL80211_REGDOM_SET_BY_DRIVER then cfg80211 will
notify ath11k after step 2 is done. At this time, there will be no
KASAN bug during the execution of the step 3.

| The issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in macOS Sonoma 14.8.2, macOS Sequoia 15.7.2. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination or corrupt kernel memory. |
| A privilege escalation vulnerability in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS software allows a PAN-OS administrator with access to the management web interface to perform actions on the firewall with root privileges.
Cloud NGFW and Prisma Access are not impacted by this vulnerability. |
| An OS command injection vulnerability in Palo Alto Networks Expedition allows an unauthenticated attacker to run arbitrary OS commands as root in Expedition, resulting in disclosure of usernames, cleartext passwords, device configurations, and device API keys of PAN-OS firewalls. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: usb-audio: Fix potential out-of-bound accesses for Extigy and Mbox devices
A bogus device can provide a bNumConfigurations value that exceeds the
initial value used in usb_get_configuration for allocating dev->config.
This can lead to out-of-bounds accesses later, e.g. in
usb_destroy_configuration. |
| The postjournal service in Zimbra Collaboration (ZCS) before 8.8.15 Patch 46, 9 before 9.0.0 Patch 41, 10 before 10.0.9, and 10.1 before 10.1.1 sometimes allows unauthenticated users to execute commands. |
| IBM Data Risk Manager 2.0.1, 2.0.2, 2.0.3, and 2.0.4 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system. IBM X-Force ID: 180533. |
| A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in tvOS 18.4.1, visionOS 2.4.1, iOS iOS 18.4.1 and iPadOS 18.4.1, macOS Sequoia 15.4.1. Processing an audio stream in a maliciously crafted media file may result in code execution. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals on iOS. |
| PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C language implementing standard based protocols such as SIP, SDP, RTP, STUN, TURN, and ICE. In versions prior to and including 2.12.1 a stack buffer overflow vulnerability affects PJSIP users that use STUN in their applications, either by: setting a STUN server in their account/media config in PJSUA/PJSUA2 level, or directly using `pjlib-util/stun_simple` API. A patch is available in commit 450baca which should be included in the next release. There are no known workarounds for this issue. |
| PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Versions 2.12 and prior contain a stack buffer overflow vulnerability that affects PJSUA2 users or users that call the API `pjmedia_sdp_print(), pjmedia_sdp_media_print()`. Applications that do not use PJSUA2 and do not directly call `pjmedia_sdp_print()` or `pjmedia_sdp_media_print()` should not be affected. A patch is available on the `master` branch of the `pjsip/pjproject` GitHub repository. There are currently no known workarounds. |
| Stack overflow in PJSUA API when calling pjsua_playlist_create. An attacker-controlled 'file_names' argument may cause a buffer overflow since it is copied to a fixed-size stack buffer without any size validation. |
| Stack overflow in PJSUA API when calling pjsua_recorder_create. An attacker-controlled 'filename' argument may cause a buffer overflow since it is copied to a fixed-size stack buffer without any size validation. |
| Stack overflow in PJSUA API when calling pjsua_player_create. An attacker-controlled 'filename' argument may cause a buffer overflow since it is copied to a fixed-size stack buffer without any size validation. |
| Command injection vulnerability in the Edge Computing UI for the
TRO600 series radios that allows for the execution of arbitrary system commands. If exploited, an attacker with write access to the
web UI can execute commands on the device with root privileges,
far more extensive than what the write privilege intends. |
| FutureNet MA and IP-K series provided by Century Systems Co., Ltd. contain an OS command Injection vulnerability. A user who logs in to the Web UI of the product may execute an arbitrary OS command. |
| rcube_image.php in Roundcube Webmail before 1.4.4 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via shell metacharacters in a configuration setting for im_convert_path or im_identify_path. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: uvcvideo: Skip parsing frames of type UVC_VS_UNDEFINED in uvc_parse_format
This can lead to out of bounds writes since frames of this type were not
taken into account when calculating the size of the frames buffer in
uvc_parse_streaming. |
