Squid 3.x before 3.5.16 and 4.x before 4.0.8 improperly perform bounds checking, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted HTTP response, related to Vary headers.
CVE-2016-2572 2 Redhat, Squid-cache 2 Enterprise Linux, Squid 2024-08-05 N/A
http.cc in Squid 4.x before 4.0.7 relies on the HTTP status code after a response-parsing failure, which allows remote HTTP servers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure and daemon exit) via a malformed response.
CVE-2016-2569 2 Redhat, Squid-cache 2 Enterprise Linux, Squid 2024-08-05 N/A
Squid 3.x before 3.5.15 and 4.x before 4.0.7 does not properly append data to String objects, which allows remote servers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure and daemon exit) via a long string, as demonstrated by a crafted HTTP Vary header.
CVE-2016-2570 2 Redhat, Squid-cache 2 Enterprise Linux, Squid 2024-08-05 N/A
The Edge Side Includes (ESI) parser in Squid 3.x before 3.5.15 and 4.x before 4.0.7 does not check buffer limits during XML parsing, which allows remote HTTP servers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure and daemon exit) via a crafted XML document, related to esi/CustomParser.cc and esi/CustomParser.h.
CVE-2016-2571 2 Redhat, Squid-cache 2 Enterprise Linux, Squid 2024-08-05 N/A
http.cc in Squid 3.x before 3.5.15 and 4.x before 4.0.7 proceeds with the storage of certain data after a response-parsing failure, which allows remote HTTP servers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure and daemon exit) via a malformed response.
CVE-2016-2390 1 Squid-cache 1 Squid 2024-08-05 N/A
The FwdState::connectedToPeer method in FwdState.cc in Squid before 3.5.14 and 4.0.x before 4.0.6 does not properly handle SSL handshake errors when built with the --with-openssl option, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a plaintext HTTP message.
CVE-2018-1000027 4 Canonical, Debian, Redhat and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2024-08-05 N/A
The Squid Software Foundation Squid HTTP Caching Proxy version prior to version 4.0.23 contains a NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in HTTP Response X-Forwarded-For header processing that can result in Denial of Service to all clients of the proxy. This attack appear to be exploitable via Remote HTTP server responding with an X-Forwarded-For header to certain types of HTTP request. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 4.0.23 and later.
CVE-2018-1000024 4 Canonical, Debian, Redhat and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2024-08-05 N/A
The Squid Software Foundation Squid HTTP Caching Proxy version 3.0 to 3.5.27, 4.0 to 4.0.22 contains a Incorrect Pointer Handling vulnerability in ESI Response Processing that can result in Denial of Service for all clients using the proxy.. This attack appear to be exploitable via Remote server delivers an HTTP response payload containing valid but unusual ESI syntax.. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 4.0.23 and later.
CVE-2018-19132 2 Debian, Squid-cache 2 Debian Linux, Squid 2024-08-05 N/A
Squid before 4.4, when SNMP is enabled, allows a denial of service (Memory Leak) via an SNMP packet.
CVE-2018-1172 1 Squid-cache 1 Squid 2024-08-05 N/A
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to deny service on vulnerable installations of The Squid Software Foundation Squid 3.5.27-20180318. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within ClientRequestContext::sslBumpAccessCheck(). A crafted request can trigger the dereference of a null pointer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to create a denial-of-service condition to users of the system. Was ZDI-CAN-6088.
CVE-2019-18860 5 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 2 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 2 more 2024-08-05 6.1 Medium
Squid before 4.9, when certain web browsers are used, mishandles HTML in the host (aka hostname) parameter to cachemgr.cgi.
CVE-2019-18679 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more 2024-08-05 7.5 High
An issue was discovered in Squid 2.x, 3.x, and 4.x through 4.8. Due to incorrect data management, it is vulnerable to information disclosure when processing HTTP Digest Authentication. Nonce tokens contain the raw byte value of a pointer that sits within heap memory allocation. This information reduces ASLR protections and may aid attackers isolating memory areas to target for remote code execution attacks.
CVE-2019-18678 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more 2024-08-05 5.3 Medium
An issue was discovered in Squid 3.x and 4.x through 4.8. It allows attackers to smuggle HTTP requests through frontend software to a Squid instance that splits the HTTP Request pipeline differently. The resulting Response messages corrupt caches (between a client and Squid) with attacker-controlled content at arbitrary URLs. Effects are isolated to software between the attacker client and Squid. There are no effects on Squid itself, nor on any upstream servers. The issue is related to a request header containing whitespace between a header name and a colon.
CVE-2019-18677 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2024-08-05 6.1 Medium
An issue was discovered in Squid 3.x and 4.x through 4.8 when the append_domain setting is used (because the appended characters do not properly interact with hostname length restrictions). Due to incorrect message processing, it can inappropriately redirect traffic to origins it should not be delivered to.
CVE-2019-18676 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more 2024-08-05 7.5 High
An issue was discovered in Squid 3.x and 4.x through 4.8. Due to incorrect input validation, there is a heap-based buffer overflow that can result in Denial of Service to all clients using the proxy. Severity is high due to this vulnerability occurring before normal security checks; any remote client that can reach the proxy port can trivially perform the attack via a crafted URI scheme.
CVE-2019-13345 3 Debian, Redhat, Squid-cache 3 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Squid 2024-08-04 N/A
The cachemgr.cgi web module of Squid through 4.7 has XSS via the user_name or auth parameter.
CVE-2019-12854 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 3 more 2024-08-04 7.5 High
Due to incorrect string termination, Squid cachemgr.cgi 4.0 through 4.7 may access unallocated memory. On systems with memory access protections, this can cause the CGI process to terminate unexpectedly, resulting in a denial of service for all clients using it.
CVE-2019-12523 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 3 more 2024-08-04 9.1 Critical
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.9. When handling a URN request, a corresponding HTTP request is made. This HTTP request doesn't go through the access checks that incoming HTTP requests go through. This causes all access checks to be bypassed and allows access to restricted HTTP servers, e.g., an attacker can connect to HTTP servers that only listen on localhost.
