Microsoft w3wp (aka w3wp.exe) does not properly handle when the AspCompat directive is not used when referencing COM components in ASP.NET, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (resource consumption or crash) by repeatedly requesting each of several documents that refer to COM components, or are restricted documents located under the ASP.NET application path.
CVE-2021-47010 2024-08-07 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: Only allow init netns to set default tcp cong to a restricted algo tcp_set_default_congestion_control() is netns-safe in that it writes to &net->ipv4.tcp_congestion_control, but it also sets ca->flags |= TCP_CONG_NON_RESTRICTED which is not namespaced. This has the unintended side-effect of changing the global net.ipv4.tcp_allowed_congestion_control sysctl, despite the fact that it is read-only: 97684f0970f6 ("net: Make tcp_allowed_congestion_control readonly in non-init netns") Resolve this netns "leak" by only allowing the init netns to set the default algorithm to one that is restricted. This restriction could be removed if tcp_allowed_congestion_control were namespace-ified in the future. This bug was uncovered with https://github.com/JonathonReinhart/linux-netns-sysctl-verify
CVE-2007-20001 1 Starwindsoftware 1 Iscsi San 2024-08-07 7.5 High
A flaw was found in StarWind iSCSI target. An attacker could script standard iSCSI Initiator operation(s) to exhaust the StarWind service socket, which could lead to denial of service. This affects iSCSI SAN (Windows Native) Version 3.2.2 build 2007-02-20.
CVE-2023-40584 2 Argoproj, Redhat 2 Argo Cd, Openshift Gitops 2024-08-07 6.5 Medium
Argo CD is a declarative continuous deployment for Kubernetes. All versions of ArgoCD starting from v2.4 have a bug where the ArgoCD repo-server component is vulnerable to a Denial-of-Service attack vector. Specifically, the said component extracts a user-controlled tar.gz file without validating the size of its inner files. As a result, a malicious, low-privileged user can send a malicious tar.gz file that exploits this vulnerability to the repo-server, thereby harming the system's functionality and availability. Additionally, the repo-server is susceptible to another vulnerability due to the fact that it does not check the extracted file permissions before attempting to delete them. Consequently, an attacker can craft a malicious tar.gz archive in a way that prevents the deletion of its inner files when the manifest generation process is completed. A patch for this vulnerability has been released in versions 2.6.15, 2.7.14, and 2.8.3. Users are advised to upgrade. The only way to completely resolve the issue is to upgrade, however users unable to upgrade should configure RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and provide access for configuring applications only to a limited number of administrators. These administrators should utilize trusted and verified Helm charts.
CVE-2022-31016 2 Argoproj, Redhat 2 Argo Cd, Openshift Gitops 2024-08-07 6.5 Medium
Argo CD is a declarative continuous deployment for Kubernetes. Argo CD versions v0.7.0 and later are vulnerable to an uncontrolled memory consumption bug, allowing an authorized malicious user to crash the repo-server service, resulting in a Denial of Service. The attacker must be an authenticated Argo CD user authorized to deploy Applications from a repository which contains (or can be made to contain) a large file. The fix for this vulnerability is available in versions 2.3.5, 2.2.10, 2.1.16, and later. There are no known workarounds. Users are recommended to upgrade.
CVE-2007-4725 1 7-zip 1 7-zip 2024-08-07 N/A
Stack consumption vulnerability in AkkyWareHOUSE 7-zip32.dll before 4.42.00.04, as derived from Igor Pavlov 7-Zip before 4.53 beta, allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long filename in an archive, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow.
CVE-2007-3126 1 Gimp 1 Gimp 2024-08-07 7.5 High
