CVSS v3.1 |
| The username command in Cisco ACE Application Control Engine Module for Catalyst 6500 Switches and 7600 Routers and Cisco ACE 4710 Application Control Engine Appliance stores a cleartext password by default, which allows context-dependent attackers to obtain sensitive information. |
| Memory leak in the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) implementation in Cisco IOS 12.2 through 12.4, when VoIP is configured, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption and voice-service outage) via unspecified valid SIP messages. |
| Integer overflow in Cisco IOS allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via unspecified vectors. NOTE: as of 20071016, the only disclosure is a vague pre-advisory with no actionable information. However, since it is from a well-known researcher, it is being assigned a CVE identifier for tracking purposes. |
| The TimesTenD process in Cisco Unified Presence 1.x, 6.x before 6.0(6), and 7.x before 7.0(4) allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (process crash) via a large number of TCP connections to ports 16200 and 22794, aka Bug ID CSCsy17662. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in Cisco Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) 5.x before 5.1(8)E2 and 6.x before 6.0(5)E2, when inline mode and jumbo Ethernet support are enabled, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (panic), and possibly bypass intended restrictions on network traffic, via a "specific series of jumbo Ethernet frames." |
| Buffer overflow in the telnet server in Cisco Unified IP Phone 7906G, 7911G, 7941G, 7961G, 7970G, and 7971G running SCCP firmware might allow remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via a crafted command. |
| Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) and Cisco PIX security appliance 8.0.x before 8.0(3)9 allows remote attackers to bypass control-plane ACLs for the device via unknown vectors. |
| The SSH server in Cisco Unified IP Phone 7906G, 7911G, 7941G, 7961G, 7970G, and 7971G, with firmware 8.0(4)SR1 and earlier, uses a hard-coded username and password, which allows remote attackers to access the device. |
| A vulnerability in the SNMP implementation of could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to cause a reload of the affected system or to remotely execute code. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted SNMP packet to the affected device.
The vulnerability is due to a buffer overflow in the affected code area. The vulnerability affects all versions of SNMP (versions 1, 2c, and 3). The attacker must know the SNMP read only community string (SNMP version 2c or earlier) or the user credentials (SNMPv3). An exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code and obtain full control of the system or to cause a reload of the affected system.
Only traffic directed to the affected system can be used to exploit this vulnerability. |
| A vulnerability in the implementation of a protocol in Cisco Integrated Services Routers Generation 2 (ISR G2) Routers running Cisco IOS 15.0 through 15.6 could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause an affected device to reload, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to a misclassification of Ethernet frames. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted Ethernet frame to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the affected device to reload, resulting in a DoS condition. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvc03809. |
| The server IKEv1 implementation in Cisco IOS 12.2 through 12.4 and 15.0 through 15.6, IOS XE through 3.18S, IOS XR 4.3.x and 5.0.x through 5.2.x, and PIX before 7.0 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information from device memory via a Security Association (SA) negotiation request, aka Bug IDs CSCvb29204 and CSCvb36055 or BENIGNCERTAIN. |
| A vulnerability in the Cisco Cluster Management Protocol (CMP) processing code in Cisco IOS and Cisco IOS XE Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a reload of an affected device or remotely execute code with elevated privileges. The Cluster Management Protocol utilizes Telnet internally as a signaling and command protocol between cluster members. The vulnerability is due to the combination of two factors: (1) the failure to restrict the use of CMP-specific Telnet options only to internal, local communications between cluster members and instead accept and process such options over any Telnet connection to an affected device; and (2) the incorrect processing of malformed CMP-specific Telnet options. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending malformed CMP-specific Telnet options while establishing a Telnet session with an affected Cisco device configured to accept Telnet connections. An exploit could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code and obtain full control of the device or cause a reload of the affected device. This affects Catalyst switches, Embedded Service 2020 switches, Enhanced Layer 2 EtherSwitch Service Module, Enhanced Layer 2/3 EtherSwitch Service Module, Gigabit Ethernet Switch Module (CGESM) for HP, IE Industrial Ethernet switches, ME 4924-10GE switch, RF Gateway 10, and SM-X Layer 2/3 EtherSwitch Service Module. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvd48893. |
| The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) subsystem of Cisco IOS and IOS XE Software contains multiple vulnerabilities that could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to remotely execute code on an affected system or cause an affected system to reload. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by sending a crafted SNMP packet to an affected system via IPv4 or IPv6. Only traffic directed to an affected system can be used to exploit these vulnerabilities.
The vulnerabilities are due to a buffer overflow condition in the SNMP subsystem of the affected software. The vulnerabilities affect all versions of SNMP - Versions 1, 2c, and 3. To exploit these vulnerabilities via SNMP Version 2c or earlier, the attacker must know the SNMP read-only community string for the affected system. To exploit these vulnerabilities via SNMP Version 3, the attacker must have user credentials for the affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code and obtain full control of the affected system or cause the affected system to reload.
Customers are advised to apply the workaround as contained in the Workarounds section below. Fixed software information is available via the Cisco IOS Software Checker. All devices that have enabled SNMP and have not explicitly excluded the affected MIBs or OIDs should be considered vulnerable.
There are workarounds that address these vulnerabilities. |

| A vulnerability in the Autonomic Networking feature of Cisco IOS Software and Cisco IOS XE Software could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause autonomic nodes of an affected system to reload, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. More Information: CSCvd88936. Known Affected Releases: Denali-16.2.1 Denali-16.3.1. |
| A vulnerability in the UDP processing code of Cisco IOS 15.1, 15.2, and 15.4 and IOS XE 3.14 through 3.18 could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the input queue of an affected system to hold UDP packets, causing an interface queue wedge and a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to Cisco IOS Software application changes that create UDP sockets and leave the sockets idle without closing them. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending UDP packets with a destination port of 0 to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause UDP packets to be held in the input interfaces queue, resulting in a DoS condition. The input interface queue will stop holding UDP packets when it receives 250 packets. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCup10024, CSCva55744, CSCva95506. |
