An insufficient authentication vulnerability in Juniper Networks NorthStar Controller Application prior to version 2.1.0 Service Pack 1 may allow a malicious, network based, unauthenticated attacker to perform privileged actions to gain complete control over the environment.
A vulnerability in the mesh code of Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to impersonate a WLC in a meshed topology. The vulnerability is due to insufficient authentication of the parent access point in a mesh configuration. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by forcing the target system to disconnect from the correct parent access point and reconnect to a rogue access point owned by the attacker. An exploit could allow the attacker to control the traffic flowing through the impacted access point or take full control of the target system. This vulnerability affects the following products running a vulnerable version of Wireless LAN Controller software and configured for meshed mode: Cisco 8500 Series Wireless Controller, Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controller, Cisco 2500 Series Wireless Controller, Cisco Flex 7500 Series Wireless Controller, Cisco Virtual Wireless Controller, Wireless Services Module 2 (WiSM2). Note that additional configuration is needed in addition to upgrading to a fixed release. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCuc98992 CSCuu14804.
An issue was discovered in the software on Vaultek Gun Safe VT20i products, aka BlueSteal. An attacker can remotely unlock any safe in this product line without a valid PIN code. Even though the phone application requires it and there is a field to supply the PIN code in an authorization request, the safe does not check the PIN code, so an attacker can obtain authorization using any value. Once an attacker sees the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) advertisement for the safe, they need only to write a BLE characteristic to enable notifications, and send a crafted getAuthor packet that returns a temporary key, and an unlock packet including that temporary key. The safe then opens after the unlock packet is processed, with no verification of PIN or other credentials.
An authentication bypass vulnerability on UTStar WA3002G4 ADSL Broadband Modem WA3002G4-0021.01 devices allows attackers to directly access administrative settings and obtain cleartext credentials from HTML source, as demonstrated by info.cgi, upload.cgi, backupsettings.cgi, pppoe.cgi, resetrouter.cgi, and password.cgi.
Sangoma NetBorder / Vega Session Controller before 2.3.12-80-GA allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via the web interface.
A vulnerability in Cisco WebEx Meetings Server could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct arbitrary password changes against any non-administrative user. More Information: CSCuz03345. Known Affected Releases: 2.6. Known Fixed Releases: 2.7.1.12.
In Lenovo XClarity Administrator (LXCA) before 1.3.0, if service data is downloaded from LXCA, a non-administrative user may have access to password information for users that have previously authenticated to the LXCA's internal LDAP server, including administrative accounts and service accounts with administrative privileges. This is an issue only for users who have used local authentication with LXCA and not remote authentication against external LDAP or ADFS servers.
EMC Network Configuration Manager (NCM) 9.3.x, EMC Network Configuration Manager (NCM) 9.4.0.x, EMC Network Configuration Manager (NCM) 9.4.1.x, EMC Network Configuration Manager (NCM) 9.4.2.x contains an Improper Authentication vulnerability that could potentially be exploited by malicious users to compromise the affected system.
Huawei Video Content Management (VCM) before V100R001C10SPC001 does not properly "authenticate online user identities and privileges," which allows remote authenticated users to gain privileges and perform a case operation as another user via a crafted message, aka "Horizontal Privilege Escalation Vulnerability."
The daemon in rsync 3.1.2, and 3.1.3-development before 2017-12-03, does not check for fnamecmp filenames in the daemon_filter_list data structure (in the recv_files function in receiver.c) and also does not apply the sanitize_paths protection mechanism to pathnames found in "xname follows" strings (in the read_ndx_and_attrs function in rsync.c), which allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions.
A vulnerability was discovered in Siemens SiPass integrated (All versions before V2.70) that could allow an attacker with network access to the SiPass integrated server to bypass the authentication mechanism and perform administrative operations.
TestTrack Server versions 1.0 and earlier are vulnerable to an authentication flaw in the split disablement feature resulting in the ability to disable arbitrary running splits and cause denial of service to clients in the field.
An Improper Authentication issue was discovered in Advantech WebAccess versions prior to V8.2_20170817. Specially crafted requests allow a possible authentication bypass that could allow remote code execution.
MaLion for Windows 5.2.1 and earlier (only when "Remote Control" is installed) and MaLion for Mac 4.0.1 to 5.2.1 (only when "Remote Control" is installed) allow remote attackers to bypass authentication to execute arbitrary commands or operations on Terminal Agent.
JabberD 2.x (aka jabberd2) before 2.6.1 allows anyone to authenticate using SASL ANONYMOUS, even when the sasl.anonymous c2s.xml option is not enabled.
In EMC Avamar Server Software 7.3.1-125, 7.3.0-233, 7.3.0-226, 7.2.1-32, 7.2.1-31, 7.2.0-401, an unauthenticated remote attacker may potentially bypass the authentication process to gain access to the system maintenance page. This may be exploited by an attacker to view sensitive information, perform software updates, or run maintenance workflows.
An issue was discovered in Moxa NPort 5110 versions prior to 2.6, NPort 5130/5150 Series versions prior to 3.6, NPort 5200 Series versions prior to 2.8, NPort 5400 Series versions prior to 3.11, NPort 5600 Series versions prior to 3.7, NPort 5100A Series & NPort P5150A versions prior to 1.3, NPort 5200A Series versions prior to 1.3, NPort 5150AI-M12 Series versions prior to 1.2, NPort 5250AI-M12 Series versions prior to 1.2, NPort 5450AI-M12 Series versions prior to 1.2, NPort 5600-8-DT Series versions prior to 2.4, NPort 5600-8-DTL Series versions prior to 2.4, NPort 6x50 Series versions prior to 1.13.11, NPort IA5450A versions prior to v1.4. Firmware can be updated over the network without authentication, which may allow remote code execution.
IBM Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform 10.0.0.x through 10.1.1.x is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. An attacker can exploit a vulnerability in the authentication features that could log out users and flood user accounts with emails. IBM X-Force ID: 118838.
The WS-SP UsernameToken policy in Apache CXF 2.4.5 and 2.5.1 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication by sending an empty UsernameToken as part of a SOAP request.
Cybozu Garoon before 4.2.2 allows remote attackers to bypass login authentication via vectors related to API use.
