CVE-2020-1938 | 8 Apache, Blackberry, Debian and 5 more | 27 Geode, Tomcat, Good Control and 24 more | 2024-08-04 | 9.8 Critical |
When using the Apache JServ Protocol (AJP), care must be taken when trusting incoming connections to Apache Tomcat. Tomcat treats AJP connections as having higher trust than, for example, a similar HTTP connection. If such connections are available to an attacker, they can be exploited in ways that may be surprising. In Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.30, 8.5.0 to 8.5.50 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.99, Tomcat shipped with an AJP Connector enabled by default that listened on all configured IP addresses. It was expected (and recommended in the security guide) that this Connector would be disabled if not required. This vulnerability report identified a mechanism that allowed: - returning arbitrary files from anywhere in the web application - processing any file in the web application as a JSP Further, if the web application allowed file upload and stored those files within the web application (or the attacker was able to control the content of the web application by some other means) then this, along with the ability to process a file as a JSP, made remote code execution possible. It is important to note that mitigation is only required if an AJP port is accessible to untrusted users. Users wishing to take a defence-in-depth approach and block the vector that permits returning arbitrary files and execution as JSP may upgrade to Apache Tomcat 9.0.31, 8.5.51 or 7.0.100 or later. A number of changes were made to the default AJP Connector configuration in 9.0.31 to harden the default configuration. It is likely that users upgrading to 9.0.31, 8.5.51 or 7.0.100 or later will need to make small changes to their configurations.
CVE-2020-1950 | 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more | 7 Tika, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 4 more | 2024-08-04 | 5.5 Medium |
A carefully crafted or corrupt PSD file can cause excessive memory usage in Apache Tika's PSDParser in versions 1.0-1.23.
CVE-2020-1951 | 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 6 Tika, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 3 more | 2024-08-04 | 5.5 Medium |
A carefully crafted or corrupt PSD file can cause an infinite loop in Apache Tika's PSDParser in versions 1.0-1.23.
CVE-2020-1945 | 6 Apache, Canonical, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 54 Ant, Ubuntu Linux, Fedora and 51 more | 2024-08-04 | 6.3 Medium |
Apache Ant 1.1 to 1.9.14 and 1.10.0 to 1.10.7 uses the default temporary directory identified by the Java system property java.io.tmpdir for several tasks and may thus leak sensitive information. The fixcrlf and replaceregexp tasks also copy files from the temporary directory back into the build tree allowing an attacker to inject modified source files into the build process.
CVE-2020-1941 | 2 Apache, Oracle | 7 Activemq, Communications Diameter Signaling Router, Communications Element Manager and 4 more | 2024-08-04 | 6.1 Medium |
In Apache ActiveMQ 5.0.0 to 5.15.11, the webconsole admin GUI is open to XSS, in the view that lists the contents of a queue.
CVE-2020-1954 | 4 Apache, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more | 15 Cxf, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Snapmanager and 12 more | 2024-08-04 | 5.3 Medium |
Apache CXF has the ability to integrate with JMX by registering an InstrumentationManager extension with the CXF bus. If the ‘createMBServerConnectorFactory‘ property of the default InstrumentationManagerImpl is not disabled, then it is vulnerable to a man-in-the-middle (MITM) style attack. An attacker on the same host can connect to the registry and rebind the entry to another server, thus acting as a proxy to the original. They are then able to gain access to all of the information that is sent and received over JMX.
CVE-2020-1934 | 7 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 4 more | 13 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 10 more | 2024-08-04 | 5.3 Medium |
In Apache HTTP Server 2.4.0 to 2.4.41, mod_proxy_ftp may use uninitialized memory when proxying to a malicious FTP server.
CVE-2020-1935 | 7 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 4 more | 25 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 22 more | 2024-08-04 | 4.8 Medium |
In Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.30, 8.5.0 to 8.5.50 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.99 the HTTP header parsing code used an approach to end-of-line parsing that allowed some invalid HTTP headers to be parsed as valid. This led to a possibility of HTTP Request Smuggling if Tomcat was located behind a reverse proxy that incorrectly handled the invalid Transfer-Encoding header in a particular manner. Such a reverse proxy is considered unlikely.
CVE-2020-1927 | 9 Apache, Broadcom, Canonical and 6 more | 17 Http Server, Brocade Fabric Operating System, Ubuntu Linux and 14 more | 2024-08-04 | 6.1 Medium |
In Apache HTTP Server 2.4.0 to 2.4.41, redirects configured with mod_rewrite that were intended to be self-referential might be fooled by encoded newlines and redirect instead to an an unexpected URL within the request URL.
CVE-2020-1953 | 3 Apache, Oracle, Redhat | 5 Commons Configuration, Database Server, Healthcare Foundation and 2 more | 2024-08-04 | 10.0 Critical |
Apache Commons Configuration uses a third-party library to parse YAML files which by default allows the instantiation of classes if the YAML includes special statements. Apache Commons Configuration versions 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6 did not change the default settings of this library. So if a YAML file was loaded from an untrusted source, it could therefore load and execute code out of the control of the host application.
CVE-2020-1747 | 5 Fedoraproject, Opensuse, Oracle and 2 more | 5 Fedora, Leap, Communications Cloud Native Core Network Function Cloud Native Environment and 2 more | 2024-08-04 | 9.8 Critical |
A vulnerability was discovered in the PyYAML library in versions before 5.3.1, where it is susceptible to arbitrary code execution when it processes untrusted YAML files through the full_load method or with the FullLoader loader. Applications that use the library to process untrusted input may be vulnerable to this flaw. An attacker could use this flaw to execute arbitrary code on the system by abusing the python/object/new constructor.
CVE-2020-1730 | 6 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Libssh and 3 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Libssh and 4 more | 2024-08-04 | 5.3 Medium |
A flaw was found in libssh versions before 0.8.9 and before 0.9.4 in the way it handled AES-CTR (or DES ciphers if enabled) ciphers. The server or client could crash when the connection hasn't been fully initialized and the system tries to cleanup the ciphers when closing the connection. The biggest threat from this vulnerability is system availability.
CVE-2020-1472 | 9 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more | 20 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 17 more | 2024-08-04 | 5.5 Medium |
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists when an attacker establishes a vulnerable Netlogon secure channel connection to a domain controller, using the Netlogon Remote Protocol (MS-NRPC). An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could run a specially crafted application on a device on the network. To exploit the vulnerability, an unauthenticated attacker would be required to use MS-NRPC to connect to a domain controller to obtain domain administrator access. Microsoft is addressing the vulnerability in a phased two-part rollout. These updates address the vulnerability by modifying how Netlogon handles the usage of Netlogon secure channels. For guidelines on how to manage the changes required for this vulnerability and more information on the phased rollout, see How to manage the changes in Netlogon secure channel connections associated with CVE-2020-1472 (updated September 28, 2020). When the second phase of Windows updates become available in Q1 2021, customers will be notified via a revision to this security vulnerability. If you wish to be notified when these updates are released, we recommend that you register for the security notifications mailer to be alerted of content changes to this advisory. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Product: AndroidVersions: Android kernelAndroid ID: A-111893654References: Upstream kernel
CVE-2021-45943 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Oracle and 1 more | 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Spatial And Graph and 1 more | 2024-08-04 | 5.5 Medium |
GDAL 3.3.0 through 3.4.0 has a heap-based buffer overflow in PCIDSK::CPCIDSKFile::ReadFromFile (called from PCIDSK::CPCIDSKSegment::ReadFromFile and PCIDSK::CPCIDSKBinarySegment::CPCIDSKBinarySegment).
CVE-2021-45486 | 3 Linux, Oracle, Redhat | 6 Linux Kernel, Communications Cloud Native Core Binding Support Function, Communications Cloud Native Core Network Exposure Function and 3 more | 2024-08-04 | 3.5 Low |
In the IPv4 implementation in the Linux kernel before 5.12.4, net/ipv4/route.c has an information leak because the hash table is very small.
CVE-2021-45485 | 4 Linux, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more | 46 Linux Kernel, Aff A400, Aff A400 Firmware and 43 more | 2024-08-04 | 7.5 High |
In the IPv6 implementation in the Linux kernel before 5.13.3, net/ipv6/output_core.c has an information leak because of certain use of a hash table which, although big, doesn't properly consider that IPv6-based attackers can typically choose among many IPv6 source addresses.
CVE-2021-45105 | 6 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 3 more | 131 Log4j, Debian Linux, Cloud Manager and 128 more | 2024-08-04 | 5.9 Medium |
Apache Log4j2 versions 2.0-alpha1 through 2.16.0 (excluding 2.12.3 and 2.3.1) did not protect from uncontrolled recursion from self-referential lookups. This allows an attacker with control over Thread Context Map data to cause a denial of service when a crafted string is interpreted. This issue was fixed in Log4j 2.17.0, 2.12.3, and 2.3.1. |
