| A security issue exists due to improper handling of malformed CIP Forward Close packets during fuzzing. The controller enters a solid red Fault LED state and becomes unresponsive. Upon power cycle, the controller will enter recoverable fault where the MS LED and Fault LED become flashing red and reports fault code 0xF015. To recover, clear the fault. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: lpfc: Prevent lpfc_debugfs_lockstat_write() buffer overflow
A static code analysis tool flagged the possibility of buffer overflow when
using copy_from_user() for a debugfs entry.
Currently, it is possible that copy_from_user() copies more bytes than what
would fit in the mybuf char array. Add a min() restriction check between
sizeof(mybuf) - 1 and nbytes passed from the userspace buffer to protect
against buffer overflow. |

| Openfiler v2.x contains a command injection vulnerability in the system.html page. The device parameter is used to instantiate a NetworkCard object, whose constructor in network.inc calls exec() with unsanitized input. An authenticated attacker can exploit this to execute arbitrary commands as the openfiler user. Due to misconfigured sudoers, the openfiler user can escalate privileges to root via sudo /bin/bash without a password. |
