CVE-2020-1337 1 Microsoft 19 Windows 10, Windows 10 1507, Windows 10 1607 and 16 more 2024-08-04 7.8 High
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists when the Windows Print Spooler service improperly allows arbitrary writing to the file system. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could run arbitrary code with elevated system privileges. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would have to log on to an affected system and run a specially crafted script or application. The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how the Windows Print Spooler Component writes to the file system.

CVE-2021-47563 2024-08-04 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: avoid bpf_prog refcount underflow Ice driver has the routines for managing XDP resources that are shared between ndo_bpf op and VSI rebuild flow. The latter takes place for example when user changes queue count on an interface via ethtool's set_channels(). There is an issue around the bpf_prog refcounting when VSI is being rebuilt - since ice_prepare_xdp_rings() is called with vsi->xdp_prog as an argument that is used later on by ice_vsi_assign_bpf_prog(), same bpf_prog pointers are swapped with each other. Then it is also interpreted as an 'old_prog' which in turn causes us to call bpf_prog_put on it that will decrement its refcount. Below splat can be interpreted in a way that due to zero refcount of a bpf_prog it is wiped out from the system while kernel still tries to refer to it: [ 481.069429] BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffffc9000640f038 [ 481.077390] #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode [ 481.083335] #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page [ 481.089276] PGD 100000067 P4D 100000067 PUD 1001cb067 PMD 106d2b067 PTE 0 [ 481.097141] Oops: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP PTI [ 481.101980] CPU: 12 PID: 3339 Comm: sudo Tainted: G OE 5.15.0-rc5+ #1 [ 481.110840] Hardware name: Intel Corp. Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) in the BIOS2PSP command may allow an attacker with a malicious BIOS to create a race condition causing the ASP bootloader to perform out-of-bounds SRAM reads upon an S3 resume event potentially leading to a denial of service.
CVE-2021-46795 1 Amd 5 Cezannepi-fp6, Cezannepi-fp6 Firmware, Comboam4v2 Pi and 2 more 2024-08-04 4.7 Medium
A TOCTOU (time-of-check to time-of-use) vulnerability exists where an attacker may use a compromised BIOS to cause the TEE OS to read memory out of bounds that could potentially result in a denial of service.
CVE-2021-42835 2 Microsoft, Plex 2 Windows, Media Server 2024-08-04 7.0 High
An issue was discovered in Plex Media Server through 1.24.4.5081-e362dc1ee. An attacker (with a foothold in a endpoint via a low-privileged user account) can access the exposed RPC service of the update service component. This RPC functionality allows the attacker to interact with the RPC functionality and execute code from a path of his choice (local, or remote via SMB) because of a TOCTOU race condition. This code execution is in the context of the Plex update service (which runs as SYSTEM).
CVE-2021-38153 4 Apache, Oracle, Quarkus and 1 more 15 Kafka, Communications Brm - Elastic Charging Engine, Communications Cloud Native Core Policy and 12 more 2024-08-04 5.9 Medium
Some components in Apache Kafka use `Arrays.equals` to validate a password or key, which is vulnerable to timing attacks that make brute force attacks for such credentials more likely to be successful. Users should upgrade to 2.8.1 or higher, or 3.0.0 or higher where this vulnerability has been fixed. The affected versions include Apache Kafka 2.0.0, 2.0.1, 2.1.0, 2.1.1, 2.2.0, 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.3.0, 2.3.1, 2.4.0, 2.4.1, 2.5.0, 2.5.1, 2.6.0, 2.6.1, 2.6.2, 2.7.0, 2.7.1, and 2.8.0.
CVE-2021-36924 1 Realtek 1 Rtsupx Usb Utility Driver 2024-08-04 7.8 High
RtsUpx.sys in Realtek RtsUpx USB Utility Driver for Camera/Hub/Audio through 1.14.0.0 allows local low-privileged users to achieve a pool overflow (leading to Escalation of Privileges, Denial of Service, and Code Execution) via a crafted Device IO Control packet to a device.
