CVE-2013-6049 2 Apt-listbugs Project, Debian 2 Apt-listbugs, Debian Linux 2025-04-20 N/A
apt-listbugs before 0.1.10 creates temporary files insecurely, which allows attackers to have unspecified impact via unknown vectors.
CVE-2014-4510 1 Debian 1 Apt-cacher 2025-04-12 N/A
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in job.cc in apt-cacher-ng 0.7.26 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a crafted URL.
CVE-2014-7206 1 Debian 2 Advanced Package Tool, Apt 2025-04-12 N/A
The changelog command in Apt before 1.0.9.2 allows local users to write to arbitrary files via a symlink attack on the changelog file.
CVE-2012-0961 1 Debian 2 Advanced Package Tool, Apt 2025-04-11 N/A
Apt 0.8.16~exp5ubuntu13.x before 0.8.16~exp5ubuntu13.6, 0.8.16~exp12ubuntu10.x before 0.8.16~exp12ubuntu10.7, and 0.9.7.5ubuntu5.x before 0.9.7.5ubuntu5.2, as used in Ubuntu, uses world-readable permissions for /var/log/apt/term.log, which allows local users to obtain sensitive shell information by reading the log file.
CVE-2013-1051 2 Canonical, Debian 3 Ubuntu Linux, Advanced Package Tool, Apt 2025-04-11 N/A
apt 0.8.16, 0.9.7, and possibly other versions does not properly handle InRelease files, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to modify packages before installation via unknown vectors, possibly related to integrity checking and the use of third-party repositories.
CVE-2008-1902 1 Debian 1 Aptlinex 2025-04-09 N/A
The GUI for aptlinex before 0.91 does not sufficiently warn the user of potentially dangerous actions, which allows remote attackers to remove or modify packages via an apt:// URL.
CVE-2008-1901 1 Debian 1 Aptlinex 2025-04-09 N/A
aptlinex before 0.91 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on the gambas-apt.lock temporary file.
CVE-2009-1358 1 Debian 2 Advanced Package Tool, Apt 2025-04-09 N/A
apt-get in apt before 0.7.21 does not check for the correct error code from gpgv, which causes apt to treat a repository as valid even when it has been signed with a key that has been revoked or expired, which might allow remote attackers to trick apt into installing malicious repositories.
CVE-2008-0302 1 Debian 1 Apt-listchanges 2025-04-09 N/A
Untrusted search path vulnerability in apt-listchanges.py in apt-listchanges before 2.82 allows local users to execute arbitrary code via a malicious apt-listchanges program in the current working directory.
CVE-2005-1854 1 Debian 1 Apt-cacher 2025-04-03 N/A
Unknown vulnerability in apt-cacher in Debian 3.1, related to "missing input sanitising," allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands on the caching server.
CVE-2005-2214 1 Debian 1 Apt-setup 2025-04-03 N/A
apt-setup in Debian GNU/Linux installs the apt.conf file with insecure permissions, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information such as passwords.
CVE-2020-5202 3 Apt-cacher-ng Project, Debian, Opensuse 4 Apt-cacher-ng, Debian Linux, Backports and 1 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
apt-cacher-ng through 3.3 allows local users to obtain sensitive information by hijacking the hardcoded TCP port. The /usr/lib/apt-cacher-ng/acngtool program attempts to connect to apt-cacher-ng via TCP on localhost port 3142, even if the explicit SocketPath=/var/run/apt-cacher-ng/socket command-line option is passed. The cron job /etc/cron.daily/apt-cacher-ng (which is active by default) attempts this periodically. Because 3142 is an unprivileged port, any local user can try to bind to this port and will receive requests from acngtool. There can be sensitive data in these requests, e.g., if AdminAuth is enabled in /etc/apt-cacher-ng/security.conf. This sensitive data can leak to unprivileged local users that manage to bind to this port before the apt-cacher-ng daemon can.
CVE-2020-3810 3 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject 4 Ubuntu Linux, Apt, Debian Linux and 1 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
Missing input validation in the ar/tar implementations of APT before version 2.1.2 could result in denial of service when processing specially crafted deb files.
