CVSS v3.1 |
JMSAppender in Log4j 1.2 is vulnerable to deserialization of untrusted data when the attacker has write access to the Log4j configuration. The attacker can provide TopicBindingName and TopicConnectionFactoryBindingName configurations causing JMSAppender to perform JNDI requests that result in remote code execution in a similar fashion to CVE-2021-44228. Note this issue only affects Log4j 1.2 when specifically configured to use JMSAppender, which is not the default. Apache Log4j 1.2 reached end of life in August 2015. Users should upgrade to Log4j 2 as it addresses numerous other issues from the previous versions.
XMLScanner.java in Apache Xerces2 Java, as used in Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) in JDK and JRE 6 before Update 15 and JDK and JRE 5.0 before Update 20, and in other products, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop and application hang) via malformed XML input, as demonstrated by the Codenomicon XML fuzzing framework.
FasterXML jackson-databind through 2.8.10 and 2.9.x through 2.9.3 allows unauthenticated remote code execution because of an incomplete fix for the CVE-2017-7525 deserialization flaw. This is exploitable by sending maliciously crafted JSON input to the readValue method of the ObjectMapper, bypassing a blacklist that is ineffective if the Spring libraries are available in the classpath.
A flaw was found in hibernate-validator's 'isValid' method in the org.hibernate.validator.internal.constraintvalidators.hv.SafeHtmlValidator class, which can be bypassed by omitting the tag ending in a less-than character. Browsers may render an invalid html, allowing HTML injection or Cross-Site-Scripting (XSS) attacks.
Red Hat JBoss A-MQ 6.x; BPM Suite (BPMS) 6.x; BRMS 6.x and 5.x; Data Grid (JDG) 6.x; Data Virtualization (JDV) 6.x and 5.x; Enterprise Application Platform 6.x, 5.x, and 4.3.x; Fuse 6.x; Fuse Service Works (FSW) 6.x; Operations Network (JBoss ON) 3.x; Portal 6.x; SOA Platform (SOA-P) 5.x; Web Server (JWS) 3.x; Red Hat OpenShift/xPAAS 3.x; and Red Hat Subscription Asset Manager 1.3 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted serialized Java object, related to the Apache Commons Collections (ACC) library.
Integer overflow in java/org/apache/tomcat/util/buf/Ascii.java in Apache Tomcat before 6.0.40, 7.x before 7.0.53, and 8.x before 8.0.4, when operated behind a reverse proxy, allows remote attackers to conduct HTTP request smuggling attacks via a crafted Content-Length HTTP header.
Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (JON) before 3.0.1 uses 0777 permissions for the root directory when installing a remote client, which allows local users to read or modify subdirectories and files within the root directory, as demonstrated by obtaining JON credentials.
Race condition in JBoss Weld before 2.2.8 and 3.x before 3.0.0 Alpha3 allows remote attackers to obtain information from a previous conversation via vectors related to a stale thread state.
Oracle Mojarra 2.2.x before 2.2.6 and 2.1.x before 2.1.28 does not perform appropriate encoding when a (1) <h:outputText> tag or (2) EL expression is used after a scriptor style block, which allows remote attackers to conduct cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks via application-specific vectors.
org.apache.http.conn.ssl.AbstractVerifier in Apache HttpComponents HttpClient before 4.3.5 and HttpAsyncClient before 4.0.2 does not properly verify that the server hostname matches a domain name in the subject's Common Name (CN) or subjectAltName field of the X.509 certificate, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof SSL servers via a "CN=" string in a field in the distinguished name (DN) of a certificate, as demonstrated by the "foo,CN=www.apache.org" string in the O field.
The JBoss Application Server (WildFly) JacORB subsystem in Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) before 6.3.3 does not properly assign socket-binding-ref sensitivity classification to the security-domain attribute, which allows remote authenticated users to obtain sensitive information by leveraging access to the security-domain attribute.
Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (JON) before 2.4.2 does not properly enforce "modify resource" permissions for remote authenticated users when deleting a plug-in configuration update from the group connection properties history, which prevents such activities from being recorded in the audit trail.
The server in Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (JON), when SSL authentication is not configured for JON server / agent communication, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTTP request, related to message deserialization. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2016-3737.
The server in Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (JON) before 3.3.6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTTP request, related to message deserialization.
JBoss SX and PicketBox, as used in Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) before 6.2.3, use world-readable permissions on audit.log, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information by reading this file.
Apache Commons BeanUtils, as distributed in lib/commons-beanutils-1.8.0.jar in Apache Struts 1.x through 1.3.10 and in other products requiring commons-beanutils through 1.9.2, does not suppress the class property, which allows remote attackers to "manipulate" the ClassLoader and execute arbitrary code via the class parameter, as demonstrated by the passing of this parameter to the getClass method of the ActionForm object in Struts 1.
RESTEasy 2.3.1 before 2.3.8.SP2 and 3.x before 3.0.9, as used in Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 6.3.0, does not disable external entities when the resteasy.document.expand.entity.references parameter is set to false, which allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files and have other unspecified impact via unspecified vectors, related to an XML External Entity (XXE) issue. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2012-0818.
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the 404 error page in Red Hat JBoss Operations Network before 3.3.3 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a crafted URL.
org.jboss.as.jaxrs.deployment.JaxrsIntegrationProcessor in Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JEAP) before 6.2.4 enables entity expansion, which allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via unspecified vectors, related to an XML External Entity (XXE) issue.
java/org/apache/coyote/http11/filters/ChunkedInputFilter.java in Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.42, 7.x before 7.0.55, and 8.x before 8.0.9 does not properly handle attempts to continue reading data after an error has occurred, which allows remote attackers to conduct HTTP request smuggling attacks or cause a denial of service (resource consumption) by streaming data with malformed chunked transfer coding.
