CVE-2025-9341 | 1 Bouncycastle | 1 Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-fips-java-api | 2025-08-30 | 6.2 Medium |
Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. Bouncy Castle for Java FIPS bc-fips on All (API modules), Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. Bouncy Castle for Java LTS bcprov-lts8on on All (API modules) allows Excessive Allocation. This vulnerability is associated with program files org/bouncycastle/crypto/fips/AESNativeCBC.Java, org/bouncycastle/crypto/engines/AESNativeCBC.Java. This issue affects Bouncy Castle for Java FIPS: from BC-FJA 2.1.0 through 2.1.0; Bouncy Castle for Java LTS: from BC-LTS 2.73.0 through 2.73.7.
CVE-2025-9340 | 1 Bouncycastle | 1 Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-fips-java-api | 2025-08-24 | 5.9 Medium |
Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. Bouncy Castle for Java bc-fips on All (API modules). This vulnerability is associated with program files org/bouncycastle/jcajce/provider/BaseCipher. This issue affects Bouncy Castle for Java: from BC-FJA 2.1.0 through 2.1.0.
CVE-2020-26939 | 1 Bouncycastle | 2 Fips Java Api, Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle | 2025-07-17 | 5.3 Medium |
In Legion of the Bouncy Castle BC before 1.61 and BC-FJA before 1.0.1.2, attackers can obtain sensitive information about a private exponent because of Observable Differences in Behavior to Error Inputs. This occurs in org.bouncycastle.crypto.encodings.OAEPEncoding. Sending invalid ciphertext that decrypts to a short payload in the OAEP Decoder could result in the throwing of an early exception, potentially leaking some information about the private exponent of the RSA private key performing the encryption.
CVE-2013-1624 | 2 Bouncycastle, Redhat | 8 Bc-java, Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-c\#-cryptography-api, Jboss Amq and 5 more | 2025-05-12 | N/A |
The TLS implementation in the Bouncy Castle Java library before 1.48 and C# library before 1.8 does not properly consider timing side-channel attacks on a noncompliant MAC check operation during the processing of malformed CBC padding, which allows remote attackers to conduct distinguishing attacks and plaintext-recovery attacks via statistical analysis of timing data for crafted packets, a related issue to CVE-2013-0169.
CVE-2016-1000338 | 4 Bouncycastle, Canonical, Netapp and 1 more | 6 Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Ubuntu Linux, 7-mode Transition Tool and 3 more | 2025-05-05 | 7.5 High |
In Bouncy Castle JCE Provider version 1.55 and earlier the DSA does not fully validate ASN.1 encoding of signature on verification. It is possible to inject extra elements in the sequence making up the signature and still have it validate, which in some cases may allow the introduction of 'invisible' data into a signed structure.
CVE-2024-30172 | 2 Bouncycastle, Redhat | 6 Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Amq Broker, Apache Camel Spring Boot and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
An issue was discovered in Bouncy Castle Java Cryptography APIs before 1.78. An Ed25519 verification code infinite loop can occur via a crafted signature and public key. |
