CVE-2022-37439 1 Splunk 2 Splunk, Universal Forwarder 2024-09-16 5.5 Medium
In Splunk Enterprise and Universal Forwarder versions in the following table, indexing a specially crafted ZIP file using the file monitoring input can result in a crash of the application. Attempts to restart the application would result in a crash and would require manually removing the malformed file.
CVE-2022-27780 3 Haxx, Netapp, Splunk 15 Curl, Clustered Data Ontap, H300s and 12 more 2024-08-07 7.5 High
The curl URL parser wrongly accepts percent-encoded URL separators like '/'when decoding the host name part of a URL, making it a *different* URL usingthe wrong host name when it is later retrieved. For example, a URL like `http://example.com%2F127.0.0.1/`, would be allowed bythe parser and get transposed into `http://example.com/127.0.0.1/`. This flawcan be used to circumvent filters, checks and more.
CVE-2019-20838 4 Apple, Pcre, Redhat and 1 more 5 Macos, Pcre, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2024-08-05 7.5 High
libpcre in PCRE before 8.43 allows a subject buffer over-read in JIT when UTF is disabled, and \X or \R has more than one fixed quantifier, a related issue to CVE-2019-20454.
CVE-2019-20454 4 Fedoraproject, Pcre, Redhat and 1 more 4 Fedora, Pcre2, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2024-08-05 7.5 High
An out-of-bounds read was discovered in PCRE before 10.34 when the pattern \X is JIT compiled and used to match specially crafted subjects in non-UTF mode. Applications that use PCRE to parse untrusted input may be vulnerable to this flaw, which would allow an attacker to crash the application. The flaw occurs in do_extuni_no_utf in pcre2_jit_compile.c.
CVE-2020-14155 7 Apple, Gitlab, Netapp and 4 more 22 Macos, Gitlab, Active Iq Unified Manager and 19 more 2024-08-04 5.3 Medium
libpcre in PCRE before 8.44 allows an integer overflow via a large number after a (?C substring.
CVE-2020-8286 9 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more 22 Mac Os X, Macos, Debian Linux and 19 more 2024-08-04 7.5 High
curl 7.41.0 through 7.73.0 is vulnerable to an improper check for certificate revocation due to insufficient verification of the OCSP response.
CVE-2020-8284 10 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 7 more 31 Mac Os X, Macos, Debian Linux and 28 more 2024-08-04 3.7 Low
A malicious server can use the FTP PASV response to trick curl 7.73.0 and earlier into connecting back to a given IP address and port, and this way potentially make curl extract information about services that are otherwise private and not disclosed, for example doing port scanning and service banner extractions.
CVE-2020-8285 10 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 7 more 32 Mac Os X, Macos, Debian Linux and 29 more 2024-08-04 7.5 High
curl 7.21.0 to and including 7.73.0 is vulnerable to uncontrolled recursion due to a stack overflow issue in FTP wildcard match parsing.
CVE-2020-8231 6 Debian, Haxx, Oracle and 3 more 6 Debian Linux, Libcurl, Communications Cloud Native Core Policy and 3 more 2024-08-04 7.5 High
Due to use of a dangling pointer, libcurl 7.29.0 through 7.71.1 can use the wrong connection when sending data.
CVE-2020-8177 6 Debian, Fujitsu, Haxx and 3 more 19 Debian Linux, M10-1, M10-1 Firmware and 16 more 2024-08-04 7.8 High
curl 7.20.0 through 7.70.0 is vulnerable to improper restriction of names for files and other resources that can lead too overwriting a local file when the -J flag is used.
CVE-2020-8169 5 Debian, Haxx, Redhat and 2 more 7 Debian Linux, Curl, Jboss Core Services and 4 more 2024-08-04 7.5 High
curl 7.62.0 through 7.70.0 is vulnerable to an information disclosure vulnerability that can lead to a partial password being leaked over the network and to the DNS server(s).
CVE-2021-36976 4 Apple, Fedoraproject, Libarchive and 1 more 7 Ipados, Iphone Os, Macos and 4 more 2024-08-04 6.5 Medium
libarchive 3.4.1 through 3.5.1 has a use-after-free in copy_string (called from do_uncompress_block and process_block).
CVE-2021-31566 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Libarchive and 2 more 14 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libarchive and 11 more 2024-08-03 7.8 High
An improper link resolution flaw can occur while extracting an archive leading to changing modes, times, access control lists, and flags of a file outside of the archive. An attacker may provide a malicious archive to a victim user, who would trigger this flaw when trying to extract the archive. A local attacker may use this flaw to gain more privileges in a system.
CVE-2021-30560 4 Debian, Google, Splunk and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Chrome, Universal Forwarder and 1 more 2024-08-03 8.8 High
Use after free in Blink XSLT in Google Chrome prior to 91.0.4472.164 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2021-22947 9 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more 37 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 34 more 2024-08-03 5.9 Medium
When curl >= 7.20.0 and <= 7.78.0 connects to an IMAP or POP3 server to retrieve data using STARTTLS to upgrade to TLS security, the server can respond and send back multiple responses at once that curl caches. curl would then upgrade to TLS but not flush the in-queue of cached responses but instead continue using and trustingthe responses it got *before* the TLS handshake as if they were authenticated.Using this flaw, it allows a Man-In-The-Middle attacker to first inject the fake responses, then pass-through the TLS traffic from the legitimate server and trick curl into sending data back to the user thinking the attacker's injected data comes from the TLS-protected server.
CVE-2021-22923 7 Fedoraproject, Haxx, Netapp and 4 more 25 Fedora, Curl, Cloud Backup and 22 more 2024-08-03 5.3 Medium
When curl is instructed to get content using the metalink feature, and a user name and password are used to download the metalink XML file, those same credentials are then subsequently passed on to each of the servers from which curl will download or try to download the contents from. Often contrary to the user's expectations and intentions and without telling the user it happened.
CVE-2021-22945 8 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more 25 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 22 more 2024-08-03 9.1 Critical
When sending data to an MQTT server, libcurl <= 7.73.0 and 7.78.0 could in some circumstances erroneously keep a pointer to an already freed memory area and both use that again in a subsequent call to send data and also free it *again*.
CVE-2021-22946 9 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more 40 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 37 more 2024-08-03 7.5 High
A user can tell curl >= 7.20.0 and <= 7.78.0 to require a successful upgrade to TLS when speaking to an IMAP, POP3 or FTP server (`--ssl-reqd` on the command line or`CURLOPT_USE_SSL` set to `CURLUSESSL_CONTROL` or `CURLUSESSL_ALL` withlibcurl). This requirement could be bypassed if the server would return a properly crafted but perfectly legitimate response. This flaw would then make curl silently continue its operations **withoutTLS** contrary to the instructions and expectations, exposing possibly sensitive data in clear text over the network.
CVE-2021-22922 7 Fedoraproject, Haxx, Netapp and 4 more 25 Fedora, Curl, Cloud Backup and 22 more 2024-08-03 6.5 Medium
When curl is instructed to download content using the metalink feature, thecontents is verified against a hash provided in the metalink XML file. The metalink XML file points out to the client how to get the same contentfrom a set of different URLs, potentially hosted by different servers and theclient can then download the file from one or several of them. In a serial orparallel manner. If one of the servers hosting the contents has been breached and the contentsof the specific file on that server is replaced with a modified payload, curlshould detect this when the hash of the file mismatches after a completeddownload. It should remove the contents and instead try getting the contentsfrom another URL. This is not done, and instead such a hash mismatch is onlymentioned in text and the potentially malicious content is kept in the file ondisk.
CVE-2021-22925 8 Apple, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 5 more 28 Mac Os X, Macos, Fedora and 25 more 2024-08-03 5.3 Medium
curl supports the `-t` command line option, known as `CURLOPT_TELNETOPTIONS`in libcurl. This rarely used option is used to send variable=content pairs toTELNET servers.Due to flaw in the option parser for sending `NEW_ENV` variables, libcurlcould be made to pass on uninitialized data from a stack based buffer to theserver. Therefore potentially revealing sensitive internal information to theserver using a clear-text network protocol. This could happen because curl did not call and use sscanf() correctly whenparsing the string provided by the application.
