Description
Jpom through 2.11.12 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in SshFileController that allows authenticated workspace users to access SSH hosts belonging to other workspaces by supplying foreign SSH asset ids. Attackers with SSH file permissions in any workspace can call download, upload, read_file_data.json, update_file_data.json, delete.json, rename.json and new_file_folder.json endpoints to read, modify and delete files on other workspaces' SSH hosts.

Impact

An authorization bypass in Jpom's SshFileController allows an authenticated user with SSH file privileges in any workspace to access, read, modify, or delete files on SSH hosts belonging to other workspaces by supplying foreign SSH asset IDs. This flaw permits unauthorized cross‑workspace data manipulation and potentially facilitates higher‑level attacks such as scripting on those hosts.

Affected Systems

The flaw affects Jpom version 2.11.12 and earlier, including all releases up to that point, from the dromara organization. Users running these versions in a production environment are potentially exposed.

Risk and Exploitability

The CVSS base score of 8.6 highlights a high severity with high impact and exploitability. EPSS data is not available, so the likelihood of exploitation cannot be quantified, and the vulnerability is not listed in the CISA KEV catalog. Attackers must be authenticated to a workspace and possess SSH file permissions, suggesting that compromised or privileged user accounts are the primary exploitation vector.

Remediation

No solution or workaround provided in the CVE record.

OpenCVE Recommended Actions

  • Upgrade to Jpom 2.11.13 or later where the authorization check has been fixed.
  • If an upgrade is not immediately possible, restrict or remove SSH file permissions for users in each workspace and deny access to SSH asset IDs that do not belong to the authenticated workspace.
  • Implement network segmentation or firewall rules to isolate SSH hosts of different workspaces, limiting the impact of any unauthorized file access.
