Impact
A vulnerability was identified in the SvgSanitizer.php component of Typemill CMS, specifically within the ControllerApiImage::saveImage method. The flaw permits an attacker to embed malicious JavaScript payloads into processed SVG files, resulting in stored cross‑site scripting. When the SVG is displayed by the application, the injected script executes in the context of the viewer, exposing the application to client‑side code execution risks.
Affected Systems
Typemill is affected in all releases up through version 2.26.0. The vulnerability resides in the SvgSanitizer component located under system/typemill/Models/SvgSanitizer.php. Users running Typemill versions earlier than 2.27.0 are therefore exposed.
Risk and Exploitability
The CVSS base score of 5.1 indicates moderate severity. An exploit has been published and is available, raising the practical risk. EPSS is not reported, so the exploitation probability in the wild remains uncertain. The vulnerability is remote; an attacker only needs to submit a crafted SVG image to the API endpoint. The flaw is not listed in CISA KEV.
