Impact
This vulnerability is found in the Content Server component of Oracle WebCenter Content. A low‑privileged attacker who can reach the server over HTTP can exploit the flaw to achieve total takeover of the application, compromising confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The flaw bypasses normal authorization checks, giving the attacker full control of the system.
Affected Systems
The affected software is Oracle WebCenter Content from Oracle Corporation. Versions currently vulnerable include 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. No other versions are listed as affected.
Risk and Exploitability
The CVSS v3.1 base score of 8.8 indicates a high‑severity risk, with network access, low attack complexity, low privilege requirements, and no user interaction. The EPSS score of less than 1% suggests a very low exploitation likelihood at present. The vulnerability is not listed in the CISA KEV catalog, so no publicly known exploits are reported. An attacker with network reachability to the Content Server’s HTTP interface and a low‑privilege account can exploit the flaw to gain full control of the application server.
