CVSS v3.1 |
| Deserialization of untrusted data in IPC and Parquet readers in PyArrow versions 0.14.0 to 14.0.0 allows arbitrary code execution. An application is vulnerable if it reads Arrow IPC, Feather or Parquet data from untrusted sources (for example user-supplied input files).
This vulnerability only affects PyArrow, not other Apache Arrow implementations or bindings.
It is recommended that users of PyArrow upgrade to 14.0.1. Similarly, it is recommended that downstream libraries upgrade their dependency requirements to PyArrow 14.0.1 or later. PyPI packages are already available, and we hope that conda-forge packages will be available soon.
If it is not possible to upgrade, we provide a separate package `pyarrow-hotfix` that disables the vulnerability on older PyArrow versions. See https://pypi.org/project/pyarrow-hotfix/ for instructions. |
| We failed to apply CVE-2023-40611 in 2.7.1 and this vulnerability was marked as fixed then.
Apache Airflow, versions before 2.7.3, is affected by a vulnerability that allows authenticated and DAG-view authorized Users to modify some DAG run detail values when submitting notes. This could have them alter details such as configuration parameters, start date, etc.
Users should upgrade to version 2.7.3 or later which has removed the vulnerability. |
| Squid is a caching proxy for the Web. Due to an Improper Validation of Specified Index bug, Squid versions 3.3.0.1 through 5.9 and 6.0 prior to 6.4 compiled using `--with-openssl` are vulnerable to a Denial of Service attack against SSL Certificate validation. This problem allows a remote server to perform Denial of Service against Squid Proxy by initiating a TLS Handshake with a specially crafted SSL Certificate in a server certificate chain. This attack is limited to HTTPS and SSL-Bump. This bug is fixed in Squid version 6.4. In addition, patches addressing this problem for the stable releases can be found in Squid's patch archives. Those who you use a prepackaged version of Squid should refer to the package vendor for availability information on updated packages. |
| An issue was identified by Elastic whereby sensitive information is recorded in Logstash logs under specific circumstances.
The prerequisites for the manifestation of this issue are:
* Logstash is configured to log in JSON format https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/running-logstash-command-line.html , which is not the default logging format.
* Sensitive data is stored in the Logstash keystore and referenced as a variable in Logstash configuration. |
| Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor vulnerability in Apache Airflow. This issue affects Apache Airflow from 2.4.0 to 2.7.0.
Sensitive configuration information has been exposed to authenticated users with the ability to read configuration via Airflow REST API for configuration even when the expose_config option is set to non-sensitive-only. The expose_config option is False by default. It is recommended to upgrade to a version that is not affected if you set expose_config to non-sensitive-only configuration. This is a different error than CVE-2023-45348 which allows authenticated user to retrieve individual configuration values in 2.7.* by specially crafting their request (solved in 2.7.2).
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.7.2, which fixes the issue and additionally fixes CVE-2023-45348. |
| Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in Apache Dubbo. This issue only affects Apache Dubbo 3.1.5.
Users are recommended to upgrade to the latest version, which fixes the issue. |
| Uncontrolled resource consumption can be triggered by authenticated attacker that uploads a malicious ZIP to import database, dashboards or datasets.
This vulnerability exists in Apache Superset versions up to and including 2.1.2 and versions 3.0.0, 3.0.1. |
| Apache Airflow, versions 2.7.0 and 2.7.1, is affected by a vulnerability that allows an authenticated user to retrieve sensitive configuration information when the "expose_config" option is set to "non-sensitive-only". The `expose_config` option is False by default.
It is recommended to upgrade to a version that is not affected. |
| Execution with unnecessary privileges in PerkinElmer ProcessPlus allows an attacker to spawn a remote shell on the windows system. This issue affects ProcessPlus: through 1.11.6507.0. |
| Use of hard-coded MSSQL credentials in PerkinElmer ProcessPlus on Windows allows an attacker to login remove on all prone installations. This issue affects ProcessPlus: through 1.11.6507.0. |
| Files on the Windows system are accessible without authentication to external parties due to a local file inclusion in PerkinElmer ProcessPlus. This issue affects ProcessPlus: through 1.11.6507.0. |
| libcurl's URL API function
[curl_url_get()](https://curl.se/libcurl/c/curl_url_get.html) offers punycode
conversions, to and from IDN. Asking to convert a name that is exactly 256
bytes, libcurl ends up reading outside of a stack based buffer when built to
use the *macidn* IDN backend. The conversion function then fills up the
provided buffer exactly - but does not null terminate the string.
This flaw can lead to stack contents accidently getting returned as part of
the converted string. |

| libcurl's ASN1 parser has this utf8asn1str() function used for parsing an ASN.1 UTF-8 string. Itcan detect an invalid field and return error. Unfortunately, when doing so it also invokes `free()` on a 4 byte localstack buffer. Most modern malloc implementations detect this error and immediately abort. Some however accept the input pointer and add that memory to its list of available chunks. This leads to the overwriting of nearby stack memory. The content of the overwrite is decided by the `free()` implementation; likely to be memory pointers and a set of flags. The most likely outcome of exploting this flaw is a crash, although it cannot be ruled out that more serious results can be had in special circumstances. |
