| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ice: set tx_tstamps when creating new Tx rings via ethtool
When the user changes the number of queues via ethtool, the driver
allocates new rings. This allocation did not initialize tx_tstamps. This
results in the tx_tstamps field being zero (due to kcalloc allocation), and
would result in a NULL pointer dereference when attempting a transmit
timestamp on the new ring. |

| ESF-IDF is the Espressif Internet of Things (IOT) Development Framework. When the ESP32 is in advertising mode, if it receives a connection request containing an invalid Access Address (AA) of 0x00000000 or 0xFFFFFFFF, advertising may stop unexpectedly. In this case, the controller may incorrectly report a connection event to the host, which can cause the application layer to assume that the device has successfully established a connection. This issue has been fixed in versions 5.5.2, 5.4.3, 5.3.5, 5.2.6, and 5.1.7. At time of publication versions 5.5.2, 5.3.5, and 5.1.7 have not been released but are fixed respectively in commits 3b95b50, e3d7042, and 75967b5. |
| The SV100 Companion plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data that can lead to privilege escalation due to a missing capability check on the settings_import() function in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.02. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update arbitrary options on the WordPress site. This can be leveraged to update the default role for registration to administrator and enable user registration for attackers to gain administrative user access to a vulnerable site. CVE-2024-54229 may be a duplicate of this issue. |
