CVE-2023-53286 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-01-05 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/mlx5: Return the firmware result upon destroying QP/RQ Previously when destroying a QP/RQ, the result of the firmware destruction function was ignored and upper layers weren't informed about the failure. Which in turn could lead to various problems since when upper layer isn't aware of the failure it continues its operation thinking that the related QP/RQ was successfully destroyed while it actually wasn't, which could lead to the below kernel WARN. Currently, we return the correct firmware destruction status to upper layers which in case of the RQ would be mlx5_ib_destroy_wq() which was already capable of handling RQ destruction failure or in case of a QP to destroy_qp_common(), which now would actually warn upon qp destruction failure. Such manipulation with the input Fireitup leads to hard-coded credentials. An attack has to be approached locally. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.
CVE-2023-53285 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-01-05 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: add bounds checking in get_max_inline_xattr_value_size() Normally the extended attributes in the inode body would have been checked when the inode is first opened, but if someone is writing to the block device while the file system is mounted, it's possible for the inode table to get corrupted. Add bounds checking to avoid reading beyond the end of allocated memory if this happens.
CVE-2025-15223 1 Philipinho 1 Simple-php-blog 2026-01-05 4.3 Medium
A vulnerability was found in Philipinho Simple-PHP-Blog up to 94b5d3e57308bce5dfbc44c3edafa9811893d958. Impacted is an unknown function of the file /login.php. Performing manipulation of the argument Username results in cross site scripting. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. This product adopts a rolling release strategy to maintain continuous delivery. Therefore, version details for affected or updated releases cannot be specified. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure and makes clear that the product is "[f]or educational purposes only".
CVE-2025-68131 1 Agronholm 1 Cbor2 2026-01-05 7.5 High
cbor2 provides encoding and decoding for the Concise Binary Object Representation (CBOR) serialization format. Starting in version 3.0.0 and prior to version 5.8.0, whhen a CBORDecoder instance is reused across multiple decode operations, values marked with the shareable tag (28) persist in memory and can be accessed by subsequent CBOR messages using the sharedref tag (29). This allows an attacker-controlled message to read data from previously decoded messages if the decoder is reused across trust boundaries. Version 5.8.0 patches the issue.
CVE-2023-53282 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-01-05 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Fix use-after-free KFENCE violation during sysfs firmware write During the sysfs firmware write process, a use-after-free read warning is logged from the lpfc_wr_object() routine: BUG: KFENCE: use-after-free read in lpfc_wr_object+0x235/0x310 [lpfc] Use-after-free read at 0x0000000000cf164d (in kfence-#111): lpfc_wr_object+0x235/0x310 [lpfc] lpfc_write_firmware.cold+0x206/0x30d [lpfc] lpfc_sli4_request_firmware_update+0xa6/0x100 [lpfc] lpfc_request_firmware_upgrade_store+0x66/0xb0 [lpfc] kernfs_fop_write_iter+0x121/0x1b0 new_sync_write+0x11c/0x1b0 vfs_write+0x1ef/0x280 ksys_write+0x5f/0xe0 do_syscall_64+0x59/0x90 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x63/0xcd The driver accessed wr_object pointer data, which was initialized into mailbox payload memory, after the mailbox object was released back to the mailbox pool. Fix by moving the mailbox free calls to the end of the routine ensuring that we don't reference internal mailbox memory after release.
CVE-2025-11961 1 Tcpdump 1 Libpcap 2026-01-05 1.9 Low
pcap_ether_aton() is an auxiliary function in libpcap, it takes a string argument and returns a fixed-size allocated buffer. The string argument must be a well-formed MAC-48 address in one of the supported formats, but this requirement has been poorly documented. If an application calls the function with an argument that deviates from the expected format, the function can read data beyond the end of the provided string and write data beyond the end of the allocated buffer.
CVE-2025-15372 1 Youlai 1 Vue3-element-admin 2026-01-05 2.4 Low
A weakness has been identified in youlaitech vue3-element-admin up to 3.4.0. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file src/views/system/notice/index.vue of the component Notice Handler. This manipulation causes cross site scripting. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be exploited. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
CVE-2023-53279 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-01-05 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: misc: vmw_balloon: fix memory leak with using debugfs_lookup() When calling debugfs_lookup() the result must have dput() called on it, otherwise the memory will leak over time. To make things simpler, just call debugfs_lookup_and_remove() instead which handles all of the logic at once.
CVE-2025-11964 2 Microsoft, Tcpdump 2 Windows, Libpcap 2026-01-05 1.9 Low
On Windows only, if libpcap needs to convert a Windows error message to UTF-8 and the message includes characters that UTF-8 represents using 4 bytes, utf_16le_to_utf_8_truncated() can write data beyond the end of the provided buffer.
CVE-2025-15375 1 Eyoucms 1 Eyoucms 2026-01-05 6.3 Medium
A flaw has been found in EyouCMS up to 1.7.7. The impacted element is the function unserialize of the file application/api/controller/Ajax.php of the component arcpagelist Handler. Executing manipulation of the argument attstr can lead to deserialization. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor is "[a]cknowledging the existence of the vulnerability, we have completed the fix and will release a new version, v1.7.8".
CVE-2023-53276 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-01-05 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ubifs: Free memory for tmpfile name When opening a ubifs tmpfile on an encrypted directory, function fscrypt_setup_filename allocates memory for the name that is to be stored in the directory entry, but after the name has been copied to the directory entry inode, the memory is not freed. When running kmemleak on it we see that it is registered as a leak. The report below is triggered by a simple program 'tmpfile' just opening a tmpfile: unreferenced object 0xffff88810178f380 (size 32): comm "tmpfile", pid 509, jiffies 4294934744 (age 1524.742s) backtrace: __kmem_cache_alloc_node __kmalloc fscrypt_setup_filename ubifs_tmpfile vfs_tmpfile path_openat Free this memory after it has been copied to the inode.
