CVE-2026-63880 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix lock leak on ENOMEM in AMDGPU_GEM_OP_GET_MAPPING_INFO The AMDGPU_GEM_OP_GET_MAPPING_INFO branch of amdgpu_gem_op_ioctl() holds three cleanup-tracked resources before calling kvcalloc(): the drm_gem_object reference from drm_gem_object_lookup(), the drm_exec lock on the looked-up GEM via drm_exec_lock_obj(), and the drm_exec lock on the per-process VM root page directory via amdgpu_vm_lock_pd(). All three are released by the out_exec label that every other error path in this function jumps to. The kvcalloc() failure path returns -ENOMEM directly, skipping out_exec and leaking all three. The leaked per-process VM root PD dma_resv lock is the load-bearing leak: any subsequent operation on the same VM (further GEM ops, command-submission, eviction, TTM shrinker callbacks) blocks on the held lock. DRM_IOCTL_AMDGPU_GEM_OP is DRM_AUTH | DRM_RENDER_ALLOW, so this is an unprivileged-local denial of service against the caller's GPU context, reachable by any process with /dev/dri/renderD* access. Route the failure through out_exec so drm_exec_fini() and drm_gem_object_put() run. Reproduced on stock 7.0.0-10, Ryzen 7 5700U / Radeon Vega (Lucienne): the failing ioctl returns -ENOMEM and a second GET_MAPPING_INFO on the same fd then blocks in drm_exec_lock_obj() on the leaked dma_resv. SIGKILL on the caller does not reap the task; the fd-release path during process exit goes through amdgpu_gem_object_close() -> drm_exec_prepare_obj() on the same lock, leaving the task in D state until the box is rebooted. The patched kernel was not rebuilt and re-tested on this hardware; the fix is mechanical. Tested on a single Lucienne / Vega box only. Ziyi Guo posted an independent INT_MAX-bound check for args->num_entries in the same branch [1]; the two patches are complementary and can land in either order. CVE-2026-63953 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/migrate_device: fix pgtable leak in migrate_vma_insert_huge_pmd_page When migrate_vma_insert_huge_pmd_page() jumps to unlock_abort due to a PMD check failure, the pgtable allocated earlier via pte_alloc_one() is never freed, causing a memory leak. Added free_abort label to release the pgtable in error path.
CVE-2026-63929 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: buffer: Fix DMA fence leak in iio_buffer_enqueue_dmabuf() iio_buffer_enqueue_dmabuf() allocates a struct iio_dma_fence (104 bytes, kmalloc-128) via kmalloc_obj()+dma_fence_init(), which sets the initial kref to 1. It then calls dma_resv_add_fence() which takes a second reference (kref=2), and stores a raw pointer in block->fence. On the success path the function returns without calling dma_fence_put() to release the initial reference, so every buffer enqueue permanently leaks one kmalloc-128 allocation. The iio_buffer_cleanup() work item only releases the temporary reference taken during completion signalling by iio_buffer_signal_dmabuf_done(); the initial reference from dma_fence_init() is never released. With four iio_rwdev instances at 240kHz and 512 samples per buffer, this produces ~1875 kmalloc-128 allocations per second matching the observed slab growth exactly. A test with ftrace confirmed that the dma_fence_destroy event was never triggered. Fix by calling dma_fence_put() after dma_resv_add_fence(), transferring ownership of the fence to the DMA reservation object. The DMA fence then gets properly discarded after being signalled.
CVE-2026-111879 1 Perl5-dbi 1 Dbi 2026-10-30 6.5 Medium
DBI versions before 1.656 for Perl hang on a later open of a DBD::DBM table because a failed open_data does not release the table's lock. open_data creates the table's lock file and takes an exclusive flock on it for a CREATE, before the checks that can croak: a dbm_mldbm value that is not a module name, a failing tie, or a missing data file. The croak unwinds before the table object is blessed, so nothing releases the lock, and the meta data holding the open descriptor stays cached on the database handle. The dbm_mldbm and dbm_type values come from the DSN or the connect attributes, so a caller that chooses the serializer or the storage backend can trigger the failure. The flock has no timeout, so a later open of that table (even through a separate database handle) blocks for as long as the handle holding the stale lock lives, in the same process or any other.
CVE-2026-99190 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpiolib: fix memory leak in gpiod_set_array_value_complex() on error paths A drive-by review by Sashiko reports that, after a failed call to gpiochip_set_multiple(), gpiod_set_array_value() returns abruptly, bypassing the freeing of possibly alloced bitmaps, potentially leaking memory. It is an unlikely error path, but is possible. Defer the return code check until after the bitmap_free() block.
CVE-2026-99106 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: free the userptr ranges when a CS fails after parser_bos amdgpu_cs_parser_bos() allocates an HMM range for every userptr entry of the BO list and looks up the user pages. Those ranges are only freed when amdgpu_cs_parser_bos() itself fails or when amdgpu_cs_submit() checks them under the notifier lock. If amdgpu_cs_patch_jobs(), amdgpu_cs_vm_handling(), amdgpu_cs_sync_rings() or the early part of amdgpu_cs_submit() fails, nothing frees them: neither amdgpu_cs_parser_fini() nor amdgpu_bo_list_free() touch e->range. Each such CS then leaks the range, its hmm_pfns array (8 bytes per page of the userptr BO) and the BO reference the range holds. An IB on a ring that patches the CS in place (e.g. VCN) with an unmapped va_start fails in amdgpu_cs_patch_ibs() and takes this path. Free the ranges on those error paths. Ranges amdgpu_cs_submit() already dropped are NULL, so freeing them again is a no-op. (cherry picked from commit c52a9542ed7cfd527feb938bd0accada2ac8d267)
CVE-2026-99080 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: Free any excess xarray nodes in clear_inode() For many years we've had a hard to hit leak of xarray nodes. Hugh documented it well in commit 786b31121a2c. Recently people and syzbot have found ways to force it to happen with madvise. Rather than fix the leaks where they happen, just call xa_destroy() which has the side-effect of cycling the i_pages lock.
CVE-2026-99057 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xen/netfront: don't leak the skb when xennet_fill_frags() fails When a response chain has more slots than fit in the skb's frags, xennet_fill_frags() returns an error and xennet_poll() jumps to its error path. That path moves what's left on tmpq to errq to be freed, but the skb being filled was already dequeued from tmpq, so it's never freed. Each chain that overflows leaks the skb and the pages attached to it as frags, and the backend decides how many slots it sends. Put the skb back on tmpq before taking the error path, like the xennet_set_skb_gso() failure just above it does.
CVE-2026-99010 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.3 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: free the skb when the DLC has no owner rfcomm_recv_data() hands the skb to d->data_ready() and returns 0 without freeing it, so the callback owns the skb from that point on. The tty implementation frees it when the DLC has been detached from its device: static void rfcomm_dev_data_ready(struct rfcomm_dlc *dlc, struct sk_buff *skb) { struct rfcomm_dev *dev = dlc->owner; if (!dev) { kfree_skb(skb); return; } The socket implementation returns without freeing it, and the skb is leaked. A connected DLC can have no owner: rfcomm_sock_destruct() clears d->owner, while the DLC itself stays on the session until it is closed. Data frames that arrive in that window still find d->state == BT_CONNECTED in rfcomm_recv_data() and are handed to the callback, one leaked skb each. The leak does not stop on its own either. The remote runs out of credits only once RFCOMM_RX_THROTTLED is set, and for a socket the only place that sets it is rfcomm_sk_data_ready() itself, below the return. rfcomm_process_dlcs() keeps granting credits, so the remote keeps sending and the leak keeps growing. Free the skb, as the tty side does.
CVE-2026-98970 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vc4: Free the BO cache size list on teardown vc4_bo_cache_destroy() purges the cached BOs but never frees the size list, leaking it on every unbind.
CVE-2026-98831 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of/overlay: don't leak fragment references when changeset init fails init_overlay_changeset() stores the number of initialized fragments in ovcs->count only on full success. When find_target() or the __symbols__ lookup fails partway through, the target and overlay references taken for the fragments initialized so far are never dropped: free_overlay_changeset() bounds its cleanup loop by ovcs->count, which is still 0. Store the running count on the error path so free_overlay_changeset() puts whatever was set up. The store is guarded by ovcs->fragments because on the allocation-failure path cnt still holds the counting pass total while there is no fragments array; everywhere else cnt only counts fully-initialized fragments.
CVE-2026-98811 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_api: reclaim an empty proto on the error path Two racing tc filter add requests on the same chain/prio of an unlocked classifier both run change() on the shared proto and both can fail: the winner's tcf_chain_tp_delete_empty() attempt gives up because the loser's handle is still in the idr, and the loser's error path drops only its own reference without a second reclamation attempt. The empty proto stays linked in the chain, holding the chain reference, a block reference and the classifier module reference until the chain or block is torn down. Reclaim the proto on the error path of any failed request that holds a proto reference. The reclamation is emptiness-gated: tcf_chain_tp_delete_empty() unlinks the proto only when delete_empty() admits it is empty, so a live shared proto is never unlinked. A proto the request created is reclaimed unconditionally - it is the only owner, so marking it for deletion is safe even without a delete_empty callback. Classifiers without one (the check marks the proto unconditionally) are rtnl-serialized, so the raced window this guard closes cannot arise for them. This is a follow-up to commit d4e359b3608a ("net/sched: cls_api: fix teardown of an adopted proto on insert-race loss"), which stopped the loser of the insert race from unlinking the winner's live proto but left the empty-proto residual in place. Conditions to recreate: - CONFIG_NET_CLS_FLOWER=y; veth pair - tc qdisc add dev veth0 ingress - two concurrent `tc filter add dev veth0 ingress protocol ip pref 1 flower skip_sw ... action drop` (both fail in fl_hw_replace_filter after publishing their handle in the idr); repeat in a loop - an empty flower tp stays linked after both requests fail; visible as a bare `filter protocol ip pref 1 flower chain 0` header in `tc filter show` with no filter entries - CAP_NET_ADMIN (namespace-local via unshare -Urn suffices)
CVE-2026-98784 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/gfx6: fix firmware leak on teardown The firmware requested in gfx_v6_0_init_microcode() is not released when the GFX block is torn down, leaking the firmware resources. Add gfx_v6_0_free_microcode() and call it from gfx_v6_0_sw_fini() to release the PFP, ME, CE and RLC firmware. (cherry picked from commit 386e81346f95ab0be5a82c5535de932e7a456924)
CVE-2026-98780 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 1.9 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix IP instance memory leak on kobject add failure amdgpu_discovery_sysfs_ips() allocates ip_hw_instance with kzalloc_flex() and initializes its embedded kobject before calling kobject_add(). If kobject_add() fails, the return value is ignored and execution continues without dropping the initial kobject reference. The failed kobject is not retained in the kset list, so the normal sysfs teardown path cannot find it. As a result, ip_hw_instance_release() is never called and the ip_hw_instance allocation is leaked. Call kobject_put() when kobject_add() fails so the initial reference is dropped and ip_hw_instance_release() can free the allocation. Keep the existing best-effort sysfs behavior by continuing with the remaining IP entries after the failed registration. The issue was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and confirmed by manual review. (cherry picked from commit 5c75fbcca8af1096d8d9415b91d8ea6212c22ee1)
CVE-2026-98779 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 1.9 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix ACP MFD device leak on init failure acp_hw_init() registers ACP child devices with mfd_add_devices() before attaching them to the ACP power domain and initializing the hardware. If attaching a child to the power domain fails, or if the ACP reset or clock enable operation times out, the failure path frees only the source cell, resource, and platform-data allocations. The child platform devices already registered by mfd_add_devices() remain registered and are never released. Remove the children from the power domain and unregister the MFD devices on failures that occur after mfd_add_devices() succeeds. Keep mfd_add_devices() failures on the existing cleanup path since the MFD core already rolls back partially registered children itself. The issue was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and confirmed by manual review. (cherry picked from commit 63da68d6a2279ec945581c990c5a59a5ae8b5560)
CVE-2026-98777 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: binder: fix leaked fd fixups on TF_UPDATE_TXN supersede When a TF_UPDATE_TXN transaction supersedes a pending async transaction in a frozen process, the outdated transaction is freed with kfree() directly. This skips binder_free_txn_fixups(), leaking all binder_txn_fd_fixup entries and their fget()'d struct file references. The leaked file refcounts never reach zero, so the struct file objects are permanently pinned in memory. They survive process exit and accumulate across invocations until file-max exhaustion. Every other transaction cleanup path (binder_free_transaction(), binder_transaction() error paths, binder_release_work()) correctly calls binder_free_txn_fixups(). Add the missing call before kfree() in the t_outdated cleanup block.
CVE-2026-98710 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlegacy: 3945: free EEPROM data on remove il3945_pci_probe() calls il_eeprom_init(), which allocates memory for the EEPROM data. The probe failure paths release this allocation with il_eeprom_free(), but the remove path does not free it after a successful probe. As a result, the EEPROM data is leaked when the PCI device is removed. Free the EEPROM data in il3945_pci_remove() before releasing the mac80211 hardware structure. This issue was found by manual code inspection.
CVE-2026-98701 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.3 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: release mesh path quota on failed additions Repeated failed or duplicate mesh path additions can exhaust MESH_MAX_MPATHS while the path table holds fewer paths, which stops new paths to reachable destinations from being created. mesh_path_add() reserves a slot before allocating and inserting a path. If allocation fails, the function returns without releasing the slot. If the rhashtable insertion reports an error or an existing destination, the function discards its candidate but retains the reservation. No new path is installed in any of these cases. Release the reservation whenever the candidate is not installed.
CVE-2026-98697 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 1.9 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: serial: fix dynamic id driver deregistration race Only free the dynamic ids after having deregistered the driver and removed the "new_id" attribute to avoid leaking any id added by a racing write to the attribute.
CVE-2026-98671 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: sun4i-gpadc-iio: clean up on thermal zone registration failure If devm_thermal_of_zone_register() fails, probe returns without unregistering the IIO map array or disabling runtime PM. Jump to err_map to release them.
