CVE-2023-4155 | 3 Fedoraproject, Linux, Redhat | 7 Fedora, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2024-08-02 | 5.3 Medium |
A flaw was found in KVM AMD Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV) in the Linux kernel. A KVM guest using SEV-ES or SEV-SNP with multiple vCPUs can trigger a double fetch race condition vulnerability and invoke the `VMGEXIT` handler recursively. If an attacker manages to call the handler multiple times, they can trigger a stack overflow and cause a denial of service or potentially guest-to-host escape in kernel configurations without stack guard pages (`CONFIG_VMAP_STACK`).
CVE-2023-4154 | 2 Redhat, Samba | 3 Enterprise Linux, Storage, Samba | 2024-08-02 | 7.5 High |
A design flaw was found in Samba's DirSync control implementation, which exposes passwords and secrets in Active Directory to privileged users and Read-Only Domain Controllers (RODCs). This flaw allows RODCs and users possessing the GET_CHANGES right to access all attributes, including sensitive secrets and passwords. Even in a default setup, RODC DC accounts, which should only replicate some passwords, can gain access to all domain secrets, including the vital krbtgt, effectively eliminating the RODC / DC distinction. Furthermore, the vulnerability fails to account for error conditions (fail open), like out-of-memory situations, potentially granting access to secret attributes, even under low-privileged attacker influence.
CVE-2023-4208 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 6 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 3 more | 2024-08-02 | 7.8 High |
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net/sched: cls_u32 component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. When u32_change() is called on an existing filter, the whole tcf_result struct is always copied into the new instance of the filter. This causes a problem when updating a filter bound to a class, as tcf_unbind_filter() is always called on the old instance in the success path, decreasing filter_cnt of the still referenced class and allowing it to be deleted, leading to a use-after-free. We recommend upgrading past commit 3044b16e7c6fe5d24b1cdbcf1bd0a9d92d1ebd81.
CVE-2023-4135 | 3 Fedoraproject, Qemu, Redhat | 4 Fedora, Qemu, Advanced Virtualization and 1 more | 2024-08-02 | 6 Medium |
A heap out-of-bounds memory read flaw was found in the virtual nvme device in QEMU. The QEMU process does not validate an offset provided by the guest before computing a host heap pointer, which is used for copying data back to the guest. Arbitrary heap memory relative to an allocated buffer can be disclosed.
CVE-2023-4015 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 4 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2024-08-02 | 7.8 High |
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nf_tables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. On an error when building a nftables rule, deactivating immediate expressions in nft_immediate_deactivate() can lead unbinding the chain and objects be deactivated but later used. We recommend upgrading past commit 0a771f7b266b02d262900c75f1e175c7fe76fec2.
CVE-2023-4016 | 3 Fedoraproject, Procps Project, Redhat | 3 Fedora, Procps, Enterprise Linux | 2024-08-02 | 2.5 Low |
Under some circumstances, this weakness allows a user who has access to run the “ps” utility on a machine, the ability to write almost unlimited amounts of unfiltered data into the process heap.
CVE-2023-3966 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Openshift | 2024-08-02 | 7.5 High |
A flaw was found in Open vSwitch where multiple versions are vulnerable to crafted Geneve packets, which may result in a denial of service and invalid memory accesses. Triggering this issue requires that hardware offloading via the netlink path is enabled.
CVE-2023-3863 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2024-08-02 | 6.4 Medium |
A use-after-free flaw was found in nfc_llcp_find_local in net/nfc/llcp_core.c in NFC in the Linux kernel. This flaw allows a local user with special privileges to impact a kernel information leak issue.
CVE-2023-3824 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Php and 1 more | 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Php and 1 more | 2024-08-02 | 9.4 Critical |
In PHP version 8.0.* before 8.0.30, 8.1.* before 8.1.22, and 8.2.* before 8.2.8, when loading phar file, while reading PHAR directory entries, insufficient length checking may lead to a stack buffer overflow, leading potentially to memory corruption or RCE.
CVE-2023-3823 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Php and 1 more | 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Php and 1 more | 2024-08-02 | 8.6 High |
In PHP versions 8.0.* before 8.0.30, 8.1.* before 8.1.22, and 8.2.* before 8.2.8 various XML functions rely on libxml global state to track configuration variables, like whether external entities are loaded. This state is assumed to be unchanged unless the user explicitly changes it by calling appropriate function. However, since the state is process-global, other modules - such as ImageMagick - may also use this library within the same process, and change that global state for their internal purposes, and leave it in a state where external entities loading is enabled. This can lead to the situation where external XML is parsed with external entities loaded, which can lead to disclosure of any local files accessible to PHP. This vulnerable state may persist in the same process across many requests, until the process is shut down.
CVE-2023-3676 | 3 Kubernetes, Microsoft, Redhat | 3 Kubernetes, Windows, Openshift | 2024-08-02 | 8.8 High |
A security issue was discovered in Kubernetes where a user that can create pods on Windows nodes may be able to escalate to admin privileges on those nodes. Kubernetes clusters are only affected if they include Windows nodes.
CVE-2023-3592 | 2 Eclipse, Redhat | 3 Mosquitto, Satellite, Satellite Capsule | 2024-08-02 | 5.8 Medium |
In Mosquitto before 2.0.16, a memory leak occurs when clients send v5 CONNECT packets with a will message that contains invalid property types.
CVE-2023-3609 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 9 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2024-08-02 | 7.8 High |
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net/sched: cls_u32 component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. If tcf_change_indev() fails, u32_set_parms() will immediately return an error after incrementing or decrementing the reference counter in tcf_bind_filter(). If an attacker can control the reference counter and set it to zero, they can cause the reference to be freed, leading to a use-after-free vulnerability. We recommend upgrading past commit 04c55383fa5689357bcdd2c8036725a55ed632bc.
CVE-2023-3610 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2024-08-02 | 7.8 High |
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nf_tables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. Flaw in the error handling of bound chains causes a use-after-free in the abort path of NFT_MSG_NEWRULE. The vulnerability requires CAP_NET_ADMIN to be triggered. We recommend upgrading past commit 4bedf9eee016286c835e3d8fa981ddece5338795.
CVE-2023-3358 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2024-08-02 | 5.5 Medium |
A null pointer dereference was found in the Linux kernel's Integrated Sensor Hub (ISH) driver. This issue could allow a local user to crash the system.
CVE-2023-3390 | 3 Linux, Netapp, Redhat | 12 Linux Kernel, H300s, H410c and 9 more | 2024-08-02 | 7.8 High |
A use-after-free vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's netfilter subsystem in net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c. Mishandled error handling with NFT_MSG_NEWRULE makes it possible to use a dangling pointer in the same transaction causing a use-after-free vulnerability. This flaw allows a local attacker with user access to cause a privilege escalation issue. We recommend upgrading past commit 1240eb93f0616b21c675416516ff3d74798fdc97.
CVE-2023-3430 | 2 Openimageio, Redhat | 2 Openimageio, Linux | 2024-08-02 | 7.5 High |
A vulnerability was found in OpenImageIO, where a heap buffer overflow exists in the src/gif.imageio/gifinput.cpp file. This flaw allows a remote attacker to pass a specially crafted file to the application, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow and could cause a crash, leading to a denial of service.
CVE-2023-3338 | 4 Debian, Linux, Netapp and 1 more | 4 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Active Iq Unified Manager and 1 more | 2024-08-02 | 6.5 Medium |
A null pointer dereference flaw was found in the Linux kernel's DECnet networking protocol. This issue could allow a remote user to crash the system.
CVE-2023-3341 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Isc and 1 more | 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Bind and 5 more | 2024-08-02 | 7.5 High |
The code that processes control channel messages sent to `named` calls certain functions recursively during packet parsing. Recursion depth is only limited by the maximum accepted packet size; depending on the environment, this may cause the packet-parsing code to run out of available stack memory, causing `named` to terminate unexpectedly. Since each incoming control channel message is fully parsed before its contents are authenticated, exploiting this flaw does not require the attacker to hold a valid RNDC key; only network access to the control channel's configured TCP port is necessary. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.2.0 through 9.16.43, 9.18.0 through 9.18.18, 9.19.0 through 9.19.16, 9.9.3-S1 through 9.16.43-S1, and 9.18.0-S1 through 9.18.18-S1.
CVE-2023-3316 | 2 Libtiff, Redhat | 2 Libtiff, Enterprise Linux | 2024-08-02 | 5.9 Medium |
A NULL pointer dereference in TIFFClose() is caused by a failure to open an output file (non-existent path or a path that requires permissions like /dev/null) while specifying zones. |
