CVE-2020-25699 | 2 Fedoraproject, Moodle | 2 Fedora, Moodle | 2024-08-04 | 7.5 High |
In moodle, insufficient capability checks could lead to users with the ability to course restore adding additional capabilities to roles within that course. Versions affected: 3.9 to 3.9.2, 3.8 to 3.8.5, 3.7 to 3.7.8, 3.5 to 3.5.14 and earlier unsupported versions. This is fixed in moodle 3.9.3, 3.8.6, 3.7.9, 3.5.15, and 3.10.
CVE-2020-25686 | 5 Arista, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 10 Eos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more | 2024-08-04 | 3.7 Low |
A flaw was found in dnsmasq before version 2.83. When receiving a query, dnsmasq does not check for an existing pending request for the same name and forwards a new request. By default, a maximum of 150 pending queries can be sent to upstream servers, so there can be at most 150 queries for the same name. This flaw allows an off-path attacker on the network to substantially reduce the number of attempts that it would have to perform to forge a reply and have it accepted by dnsmasq. This issue is mentioned in the "Birthday Attacks" section of RFC5452. If chained with CVE-2020-25684, the attack complexity of a successful attack is reduced. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity.
CVE-2020-25684 | 5 Arista, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 10 Eos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more | 2024-08-04 | 3.7 Low |
A flaw was found in dnsmasq before version 2.83. When getting a reply from a forwarded query, dnsmasq checks in the forward.c:reply_query() if the reply destination address/port is used by the pending forwarded queries. However, it does not use the address/port to retrieve the exact forwarded query, substantially reducing the number of attempts an attacker on the network would have to perform to forge a reply and get it accepted by dnsmasq. This issue contrasts with RFC5452, which specifies a query's attributes that all must be used to match a reply. This flaw allows an attacker to perform a DNS Cache Poisoning attack. If chained with CVE-2020-25685 or CVE-2020-25686, the attack complexity of a successful attack is reduced. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity.
CVE-2020-25713 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Librdf and 1 more | 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Raptor Rdf Syntax Library and 1 more | 2024-08-04 | 6.5 Medium |

CVE-2020-25719 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 18 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 15 more | 2024-08-04 | 7.2 High |
A flaw was found in the way Samba, as an Active Directory Domain Controller, implemented Kerberos name-based authentication. The Samba AD DC, could become confused about the user a ticket represents if it did not strictly require a Kerberos PAC and always use the SIDs found within. The result could include total domain compromise.
CVE-2020-25725 | 2 Fedoraproject, Xpdfreader | 2 Fedora, Xpdf | 2024-08-04 | 5 Medium |
In Xpdf 4.02, SplashOutputDev::endType3Char(GfxState *state) SplashOutputDev.cc:3079 is trying to use the freed `t3GlyphStack->cache`, which causes an `heap-use-after-free` problem. The codes of a previous fix for nested Type 3 characters wasn't correctly handling the case where a Type 3 char referred to another char in the same Type 3 font.
CVE-2020-25649 | 7 Apache, Fasterxml, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 50 Iotdb, Jackson-databind, Fedora and 47 more | 2024-08-04 | 7.5 High |
A flaw was found in FasterXML Jackson Databind, where it did not have entity expansion secured properly. This flaw allows vulnerability to XML external entity (XXE) attacks. The highest threat from this vulnerability is data integrity.
CVE-2020-25722 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 1 more | 2024-08-04 | 8.8 High |
Multiple flaws were found in the way samba AD DC implemented access and conformance checking of stored data. An attacker could use this flaw to cause total domain compromise.
CVE-2020-25717 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 28 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 25 more | 2024-08-04 | 8.1 High |

CVE-2020-25698 | 2 Fedoraproject, Moodle | 2 Fedora, Moodle | 2024-08-04 | 7.5 High |
Users' enrollment capabilities were not being sufficiently checked in Moodle when they are restored into an existing course. This could lead to them unenrolling users without having permission to do so. Versions affected: 3.5 to 3.5.14, 3.7 to 3.7.8, 3.8 to 3.8.5, 3.9 to 3.9.2 and earlier unsupported versions. Fixed in 3.9.3, 3.8.6, 3.7.9, 3.5.15, and 3.10.
CVE-2020-25693 | 2 Cimg, Fedoraproject | 2 Cimg, Fedora | 2024-08-04 | 8.1 High |
A flaw was found in CImg in versions prior to 2.9.3. Integer overflows leading to heap buffer overflows in load_pnm() can be triggered by a specially crafted input file processed by CImg, which can lead to an impact to application availability or data integrity.
CVE-2020-25687 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more | 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2024-08-04 | 5.9 Medium |
A flaw was found in dnsmasq before version 2.83. A heap-based buffer overflow was discovered in dnsmasq when DNSSEC is enabled and before it validates the received DNS entries. This flaw allows a remote attacker, who can create valid DNS replies, to cause an overflow in a heap-allocated memory. This flaw is caused by the lack of length checks in rfc1035.c:extract_name(), which could be abused to make the code execute memcpy() with a negative size in sort_rrset() and cause a crash in dnsmasq, resulting in a denial of service. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2020-25685 | 5 Arista, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 10 Eos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more | 2024-08-04 | 3.7 Low |
A flaw was found in dnsmasq before version 2.83. When getting a reply from a forwarded query, dnsmasq checks in forward.c:reply_query(), which is the forwarded query that matches the reply, by only using a weak hash of the query name. Due to the weak hash (CRC32 when dnsmasq is compiled without DNSSEC, SHA-1 when it is) this flaw allows an off-path attacker to find several different domains all having the same hash, substantially reducing the number of attempts they would have to perform to forge a reply and get it accepted by dnsmasq. This is in contrast with RFC5452, which specifies that the query name is one of the attributes of a query that must be used to match a reply. This flaw could be abused to perform a DNS Cache Poisoning attack. If chained with CVE-2020-25684 the attack complexity of a successful attack is reduced. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity.
CVE-2020-25681 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more | 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2024-08-04 | 8.1 High |
A flaw was found in dnsmasq before version 2.83. A heap-based buffer overflow was discovered in the way RRSets are sorted before validating with DNSSEC data. An attacker on the network, who can forge DNS replies such as that they are accepted as valid, could use this flaw to cause a buffer overflow with arbitrary data in a heap memory segment, possibly executing code on the machine. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2020-25702 | 2 Fedoraproject, Moodle | 2 Fedora, Moodle | 2024-08-04 | 6.1 Medium |
