CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/i915: Fix system suspend without fbdev being initialized
If fbdev is not initialized for some reason - in practice on platforms
without display - suspending fbdev should be skipped during system
suspend, fix this up. While at it add an assert that suspending fbdev
only happens with the display present.
This fixes the following:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: amd: acp: Fix incorrect retrival of acp_chip_info
Use dev_get_drvdata(dev->parent) instead of dev_get_platdata(dev)
to correctly obtain acp_chip_info members in the acp I2S driver.
Previously, some members were not updated properly due to incorrect
data access, which could potentially lead to null pointer
dereferences.
This issue was missed in the earlier commit
("ASoC: amd: acp: Fix NULL pointer deref in acp_i2s_set_tdm_slot"),
which only addressed set_tdm_slot(). This change ensures that all
relevant functions correctly retrieve acp_chip_info, preventing
further null pointer dereference issues. |
| A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability exists in FFmpeg’s Firequalizer filter (libavfilter/af_firequalizer.c) due to a missing check on the return value of av_malloc_array() in the config_input() function. An attacker could exploit this by tricking a victim into processing a crafted media file with the Firequalizer filter enabled, causing the application to dereference a NULL pointer and crash, leading to denial of service. |

driver core: fix potential null-ptr-deref in device_add()
I got the following null-ptr-deref report while doing fault injection test:
BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000058

ds2482_probe+0x303/0x3e0 [ds2482]
This is how it happened:
w1_alloc_dev()
// The dev->driver is set to w1_master_driver.
memcpy(&dev->dev, device, sizeof(struct device));
device_add()
bus_add_device()
dpm_sysfs_add() // It fails, calls bus_remove_device.
// error path
bus_remove_device()
// The dev->driver is not null, but driver is not bound.
__device_release_driver()
klist_remove(&dev->p->knode_driver) <-- It causes null-ptr-deref.
// normal path
bus_probe_device() // It's not called yet.
device_bind_driver()
If dev->driver is set, in the error path after calling bus_add_device()
in device_add(), bus_remove_device() is called, then the device will be
detached from driver. But device_bind_driver() is not called yet, so it
causes null-ptr-deref while access the 'knode_driver'. To fix this, set
dev->driver to null in the error path before calling bus_remove_device(). |
| Craft CMS stores arbitrary content provided by unauthenticated users in session files. This content could be accessed and executed, possibly using an independent vulnerability. Craft CMS redirects requests that require authentication to the login page and generates a session file on the server at '/var/lib/php/sessions'. Such session files are named 'sess_[session_value]', where '[session_value]' is provided to the client in a 'Set-Cookie' response header. Craft CMS stores the return URL requested by the client without sanitizing parameters. Consequently, an unauthenticated client can introduce arbitrary values, such as PHP code, to a known local file location on the server. Craft CMS versions 5.7.5 and 4.15.3 have been released to address this issue. |

| A flaw was found in the QEMU built-in VNC server while processing ClientCutText messages. The qemu_clipboard_request() function can be reached before vnc_server_cut_text_caps() was called and had the chance to initialize the clipboard peer, leading to a NULL pointer dereference. This could allow a malicious authenticated VNC client to crash QEMU and trigger a denial of service. |
