CVSS v3.1 |
This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of Parallels Desktop Parallels Desktop 17.1.1. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the update machanism. The issue results from the lack of proper locking when performing operations on an object. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of root. Was ZDI-CAN-16396.
Versions of the Amazon AWS Apache Log4j hotpatch package before log4j-cve-2021-44228-hotpatch-1.3.5 are affected by a race condition that could lead to a local privilege escalation. This Hotpatch package is not a replacement for updating to a log4j version that mitigates CVE-2021-44228 or CVE-2021-45046; it provides a temporary mitigation to CVE-2021-44228 by hotpatching the local Java virtual machines. To do so, it iterates through all running Java processes, performs several checks, and executes the Java virtual machine with the same permissions and capabilities as the running process to load the hotpatch. A local user could cause the hotpatch script to execute a binary with elevated privileges by running a custom java process that performs exec() of an SUID binary after the hotpatch has observed the process path and before it has observed its effective user ID.
A possible race condition vulnerability in score driver prior to SMR Jul-2022 Release 1 can allow local attackers to interleave malicious operations.
Transient DOS due to time-of-check time-of-use race condition in Modem while processing RRC Reconfiguration message.
Memory corruption in Core due to time-of-check time-of-use race condition during dump collection in trust zone.
The kernel module has the race condition vulnerability. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may affect data confidentiality.
Time of Check - Time of Use (TOCTOU) vulnerability in Quick Heal Total Security prior to 12.1.1.27 allows a local attacker to achieve privilege escalation, potentially leading to deletion of system files. This is achieved through exploiting the time between detecting a file as malicious and when the action of quarantining or cleaning is performed, and using the time to replace the malicious file by a symlink.
Dradis Professional Edition before 4.3.0 allows attackers to change an account password via reusing a password reset token.
A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s PLP Rose functionality in the way a user triggers a race condition by calling bind while simultaneously triggering the rose_bind() function. This flaw allows a local user to crash or potentially escalate their privileges on the system.
A race condition was found in the Linux kernel's watch queue due to a missing lock in pipe_resize_ring(). The specific flaw exists within the handling of pipe buffers. The issue results from the lack of proper locking when performing operations on an object. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system or escalate their privileges on the system.
Use after free in Exosphere in Google Chrome on Chrome OS and Lacros prior to 104.0.5112.79 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific UI interactions to potentially exploit heap corruption via crafted UI interactions. (Chrome security severity: High)
Use after free in Offline in Google Chrome on Android prior to 104.0.5112.79 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific user interactions to potentially exploit heap corruption via specific UI interactions.
Use after free in Extensions API in Google Chrome prior to 104.0.5112.79 allowed an attacker who convinced a user to install a malicious extension to potentially exploit heap corruption via specific UI interactions.
Use after free in Nearby Share in Google Chrome on Chrome OS prior to 104.0.5112.79 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific user interactions to potentially exploit heap corruption via specific UI interactions.
Use after free in Overview Mode in Google Chrome on Chrome OS prior to 104.0.5112.79 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific user interactions to potentially exploit heap corruption via specific UI interactions.
Use after free in Tab Strip in Google Chrome on Chrome OS prior to 104.0.5112.79 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific user interactions to potentially exploit heap corruption via specific UI interactions.
A race condition was found in the way the Linux kernel's memory subsystem handled the copy-on-write (COW) breakage of private read-only shared memory mappings. This flaw allows an unprivileged, local user to gain write access to read-only memory mappings, increasing their privileges on the system.
Insufficient policy enforcement in DevTools in Google Chrome on Windows prior to 103.0.5060.53 allowed an attacker who convinced a user to install a malicious extension to obtain potentially sensitive information from a user's local files via a crafted HTML page.
Divide By Zero error in tiffcrop in libtiff 4.4.0 allows attackers to cause a denial-of-service via a crafted tiff file. For users that compile libtiff from sources, the fix is available with commit f3a5e010.
