CVSS v3.1 |
| PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit a1b707c, a stack buffer overflow exists in the SRTP/SDES media transport when processing a=crypto attributes during SDP offer/answer (sdes_encode_sdp() in transport_srtp_sdes.c). This affects applications with SRTP enabled (use_srtp optional or mandatory, using SDES keying). During media negotiation, the crypto attributes from the remote SDP are collected into a fixed-size array without bounding their number; a remote peer that includes an excessive number of a=crypto attributes in a single media description can write past the end of that array on the stack. This is reachable from an incoming SIP INVITE during offer/answer, before application-level authentication. Impact may range from unexpected application termination to control flow hijack/memory corruption. Applications that do not enable SRTP are not affected. This issue has been patched via commit a1b707c. |
| morgan is an HTTP request logger middleware for Node.js. In versions before 1.12.1, its escapeLogField() function does not escape the double quote character, which delimits the quoted fields of the Apache combined log format that morgan emits. An unauthenticated remote attacker who controls a value written to a quoted field, such as the User-Agent or Referer header, can include a double quote to close that field early, so a log consumer that parses the log by field position reads attacker-supplied text as the following field. In the built-in formats this makes the recorded value differ from the value that was sent, and in custom formats that quote an attacker-controlled token before a server-controlled one it can forge values such as the response status. No newline is injected, so record separation stays intact. The issue is fixed in morgan 1.12.1, which escapes the double quote. Users should upgrade to morgan 1.12.1 or later. |
| PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit acc03b5, a stack buffer overflow exists in PJSUA when processing Service-Route headers in a registration response (update_service_route() in pjsua_acc.c). This affects applications that register using the PJSUA/PJSUA2 account API (the default registration path). The Service-Route URIs from a 2xx response to REGISTER are stored into a fixed-size array without bounding the number of headers; a registrar that returns an excessive number of Service-Route headers can write past the end of the array on the stack. The values written are internal pointers rather than arbitrary data, so the most likely impact is unexpected application termination (denial of service), though memory corruption cannot be excluded. The malicious response may come from a compromised or malicious registrar, or — over unprotected transports — a spoofed response. This issue has been patched via commit acc03b5. |
| PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit d6a0e7f, a buffer overflow can occur in pjsip_generic_array_hdr_print() in pjsip/src/pjsip/sip_msg.c, the function that serializes generic array headers (such as Allow, Require, Supported, and Unsupported). Under certain output-buffer boundary conditions the function can write one byte past the end of the buffer. This is reachable mainly in applications that parse and re-serialize incoming SIP requests — for example a proxy, SBC, or B2BUA — where a remote peer can influence the serialized message. The out-of-bounds write is a single fixed byte; code execution and information disclosure are not demonstrated, and in typical pool-based allocations the byte falls within allocation slack. This issue has been patched via commit d6a0e7f. |
| PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit 673b978, a remote out-of-bounds read and write can occur in the SDP negotiator when the remote payload-type map maintenance feature is enabled. assign_pt_and_update_map() in pjmedia/src/pjmedia/sdp_neg.c uses payload-type numbers taken from a remote SDP offer or answer to index fixed-size internal tables without sufficient bounds validation, so a crafted remote SDP can cause memory access outside those tables. The practical impact is memory corruption and denial of service; code execution is not demonstrated. This path is only reached when PJMEDIA_SDP_NEG_MAINTAIN_REMOTE_PT_MAP is enabled. The default is disabled, so default builds are not affected; the feature is an interoperability option that integrating products may enable. This issue has been patched via commit 673b978. |
| A flaw was found in GStreamer's gst-plugins-good isomp4 plugin. When processing a specially crafted MP4 or MOV file containing CEA-608 closed-caption data, an integer overflow in 32-bit unsigned arithmetic can bypass a bounds check in the caption parser. This leads to an out-of-bounds heap read of up to 244 bytes, which is then included in the downstream caption output. An attacker could exploit this by tricking a user into opening a malicious media file, potentially resulting in disclosure of adjacent heap memory or application crash. |
| In the current development version of Eclipse aeriOS, for which no official release has yet been published, the Identity Manager (IdM) deployment included insecure default configurations and credentials for security-sensitive services.
The Helm chart exposed the Keycloak service and its PostgreSQL backing database through Kubernetes NodePort services by default, while the Docker Compose deployment similarly exposed PostgreSQL on all network interfaces. The deployment included fixed default credentials for the Keycloak administrator and PostgreSQL database user, and the previous Helm chart configuration did not provide adequate secret management for these credentials. In addition, predefined application users with known credentials were provided for development and testing without sufficiently warning operators against their use in production environments.
An attacker able to reach the exposed services could use the published default credentials to obtain administrative access to the Identity Manager or direct access to its database. This could allow unauthorized access to or modification of identity-management data, including users, roles, client credentials, sessions, and cryptographic material, and could enable the creation of privileged identities or tokens accepted by other aeriOS components.
The issue has been addressed by generating a random Keycloak administrator password by default, managing Keycloak and PostgreSQL credentials through Kubernetes Secrets, and restricting PostgreSQL to an internal service in both the Helm chart and Docker Compose deployment. OpenLDAP is also restricted to an internal service. The predefined users intended for development and testing are retained, but the documentation now explicitly warns that their default credentials must not be used in production and that these users should be removed or their credentials changed after installation. |

| Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows DHCP Client allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over an adjacent network. |
| ESP32-audioI2S versions 3.4.4 through 4.0.0 contain a heap-based out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the read_ID3_Header function due to a shadowed length parameter in ID3 synchronized-lyrics processing. Attackers can craft malicious MP3 files or HTTP audio streams with oversized frame size declarations to read past allocated buffer boundaries, causing device crashes or exposing adjacent heap memory. |

| jackson-databind contains the general-purpose data-binding functionality and tree-model for Jackson Data Processor. From 2.10.0 until 2.18.8, 2.21.4, and 3.1.4, BasicPolymorphicTypeValidator.Builder.allowIfSubTypeIsArray() allowlists any array type based only on clazz.isArray(), without validating the array's component (element) type against the configured allowlist. A PTV built with allowIfSubTypeIsArray() plus an explicit concrete-type allowlist therefore still permits EvilType[] even though EvilType is not allowlisted. When Jackson deserializes the elements and no per-element type IDs are present, it instantiates the component type directly with no further PTV check, bypassing the allowlist. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.18.8, 2.21.4, and 3.1.4. |
| ws is an open source WebSocket client and server for Node.js. All versions from 1.1.0 up to (but not including) 5.2.5, from 6.0.0 up to 6.2.4, from 7.0.0 up to 7.5.11, and from 8.0.0 up to 8.21.0 are affected by a memory exhaustion DoS vulnerability. A peer can send a high volume of exceptionally small fragments and data chunks, with modest network traffic, to force the remote peer into allocating and holding structural wrappers that consume far more memory than the default documented message-size limit, leading to process termination due to OOM. This issue has been fixed in versions 5.2.5, 6.2.4, 7.5.11, and 8.21.0. |
