CVSS v3.1 |
| NLTK before 3.10.3 contains a regular expression denial of service (ReDoS) vulnerability in the tgrep module. The _tgrep_node_action function compiles user-supplied regular expressions embedded in /regex/ pattern nodes and executes them via re.search against tree node labels without any validation or timeout. An attacker who controls the tgrep pattern (e.g., via tgrep_positions() or tgrep_compile() exposed to external input) can supply a pattern that triggers catastrophic backtracking, causing indefinite CPU saturation that blocks the Python process. |
| NLnet Labs Unbound 1.14.0 up to and including version 1.25.0 has a vulnerability that results in heap overflow when encoding multiple NSID and/or DNS Cookie EDNS and/or EDNS Padding options in the reply packet. The relevant options ('nsid', 'answer-cookie', 'pad-responses' (default)) need to be enabled for the vulnerability to be exploited. An adversary who can query Unbound can exploit the vulnerability by attaching multiple NSID and/or DNS Cookie EDNS and/or EDNS Padding options to the query. A flaw in the size calculation of the EDNS field truncates the correct value which allows the encoder to overflow the available space when writing. Those two combined lead to a heap overflow write of Unbound controlled data and eventually a crash. Unbound 1.25.1 contains a patch with a fix to de-duplicate the EDNS options and a fix to prevent truncation of the EDNS field size calculation. |

| IBM PowerVM Hypervisor FW1120.00, FW1110.00 through FW1110.30, and FW1060.00 through FW1060.80 IBM PowerVM could allow a local attacker to obtain sensitive information or cause a denial of service due to improper control of format strings. |
| Punk versions before 0.18 for Perl allow session cookie forgery via an empty default HMAC key when a session is declared without a secret.
The session keyword freezes its options onto the application as given: it does not require a secret, warn, or refuse to start when one is absent. The cookie read and the write-back both default that key to the empty string, so a declaration with no secret option, or with an undefined or empty one, signs and verifies with a zero-length HMAC-SHA256 key.
An attacker who knows the cookie format can then mint one offline carrying any contents the session holds, such as a user identifier or a role. Nothing marks the misconfiguration at runtime: cookies are well formed and sessions round-trip as expected. |
| Improper input validation in the Time Series Visual Builder (TSVB) plugin in OpenSearch Dashboards allows an authenticated remote user to execute arbitrary code on the server via a crafted JSON payload to the metrics visualization API endpoint. This issue is a form of prototype pollution that enables remote code execution.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to OpenSearch Dashboards 3.8 or later. |
| When reading a specially crafted ZIP archive, or a derived formats, an Apache Ant build can be made to allocate large amounts of memory that leads to an out of memory error, even for small inputs. This can be used to disrupt builds using Apache Ant. Commonly used derived formats from ZIP archives are for instance JAR files and many office files. Apache Ant prior to 1.9.16 and 1.10.11 were affected. |
| When reading a specially crafted TAR archive an Apache Ant build can be made to allocate large amounts of memory that finally leads to an out of memory error, even for small inputs. This can be used to disrupt builds using Apache Ant. Apache Ant prior to 1.9.16 and 1.10.11 were affected. |
| HAProxy Community Edition 3.0 through 3.3 before 3.3.3 lacks a length check for the NEW_TOKEN format. HAProxy Enterprise and ALOHA are also affected. |
| A Use of Default Password vulnerability affecting Tuleap Enterprise Edition from 17.0 through 17.5 could allow an attacker to gain access to user accounts created during XML import. |
| A vulnerability has been found in cleverbrush framework and deep up to 4.4.0. This impacts the function deepExtend of the file libs/deep/src/deepExtend.ts. The manipulation leads to improperly controlled modification of object prototype attributes. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. Upgrading to version 4.4.1 will fix this issue. The identifier of the patch is 810398c1308c500c3b8b6af380b5a89371389327. You should upgrade the affected component. |
| The extension passes the raw value of a form field configured as "This field contains the name of the sender" directly into a Fluid View as template source, without any sanitization, and renders it. An anonymous, unauthenticated user can submit Fluid template syntax in that field to execute arbitrary Fluid ViewHelpers leading to disclosure of server configuration, environment variables and application source, and potentially remote code execution. Exploitation requires only that a form field is configured as the sender_name field, a common and default-adjacent Powermail configuration. No authentication or user interaction beyond a normal form submission is required. This vulnerability is reported to be actively exploited in the wild. |
| The extension passes an editor-configurable email subject string directly into a Fluid template source without restriction. A backend user with edit access to the event plugin or Backend Module can supply Fluid ViewHelper syntax in this field to disclose sensitive data or execute TypoScript content objects. Exploitation of this issue requires an authenticated backend account with edit access to the event registration plugin or backend module. |
| IBM AIX 7.2, and 7.3 and IBM PowerVM VIOS 4.1 could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code due to a format string vulnerability. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dlm: validate length in dlm_search_rsb_tree
The len parameter in dlm_dump_rsb_name() is not validated and comes
from network messages. When it exceeds DLM_RESNAME_MAXLEN, it can
cause out-of-bounds write in dlm_search_rsb_tree().
Add length validation to prevent potential buffer overflow. |
| NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_rewrite_module module. This vulnerability exists when the rewrite directive is followed by a rewrite, if, or set directive and an unnamed Perl-Compatible Regular Expression (PCRE) capture (for example, $1, $2) with a replacement string that includes a question mark (?). An unauthenticated attacker along with conditions beyond its control can exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP requests. This may cause a heap buffer overflow in the NGINX worker process leading to a restart. Additionally, attackers can execute code on systems with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) disabled or when the attacker can bypass ASLR. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |
| NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_proxy_v2_module and ngx_http_grpc_module modules. This vulnerability exists when the proxy_http_version to 2 or grpc_pass directives are used to proxy HTTP/2 traffic, the ignore_invalid_headers directive is set to off, and the large_client_header_buffers directive size is larger than 2 megabytes. A remote, unauthenticated attacker, along with conditions beyond their control, could send large headers while creating an upstream request. This may cause a heap-based buffer overflow in the NGINX worker process leading to a restart. Additionally, attackers can execute code on systems with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) disabled or when the attacker can bypass ASLR.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nft_payload: fix mask build for partial field offload
nft_payload_offload_mask() builds the offload match mask for a payload
expression that covers only part of a header field. For a partial IPv6
address match (field_len = 16, priv_len = 1) that shift is 1 << 120, which
is undefined on the 32-bit int operand. It also trims only one word, so
the remaining words stay 0xffffffff (and when priv_len is a multiple of 4
the trim is skipped entirely), leaving the mask covering more bytes than
the rule matches.
UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds in net/netfilter/nft_payload.c:278:20
shift exponent 120 is too large for 32-bit type 'int'
...
The match is byte-granular and struct nft_data is zero-initialised, so the
correct mask is simply the first priv_len bytes set to 0xff. Set those
bytes directly and drop the word/shift trimming; this removes the undefined
shift and no longer over-masks the trailing bytes. |
| Orval generates type-safe JavaScript clients in TypeScript from OpenAPI v3 and Swagger v2 specifications. Prior to 8.21.0, a ${...} expression or backtick in an array item default is emitted into a module-level template literal emitted by zod schema generation without safe encoding. This permits attacker-controlled JavaScript to be evaluated when the generated zod schema module is imported, resulting in code execution in the developer, CI, test, or application environment. The affected code is packages/zod/src/index.ts function formatDefaultValue. This issue is fixed in version 8.21.0. |
