CVE-2022-34918 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more | 14 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 11 more | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.18.9. A type confusion bug in nft_set_elem_init (leading to a buffer overflow) could be used by a local attacker to escalate privileges, a different vulnerability than CVE-2022-32250. (The attacker can obtain root access, but must start with an unprivileged user namespace to obtain CAP_NET_ADMIN access.) This can be fixed in nft_setelem_parse_data in net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c.
CVE-2022-29581 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more | 22 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 19 more | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
Improper Update of Reference Count vulnerability in net/sched of Linux Kernel allows local attacker to cause privilege escalation to root. This issue affects: Linux Kernel versions prior to 5.18; version 4.14 and later versions.
CVE-2022-28657 | 2 Apport Project, Canonical | 2 Apport, Ubuntu Linux | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
Apport does not disable python crash handler before entering chroot
CVE-2022-24760 | 3 Canonical, Microsoft, Parseplatform | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Windows, Parse-server | 2024-08-03 | 10 Critical |
Parse Server is an open source http web server backend. In versions prior to 4.10.7 there is a Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability in Parse Server. This vulnerability affects Parse Server in the default configuration with MongoDB. The main weakness that leads to RCE is the Prototype Pollution vulnerable code in the file `DatabaseController.js`, so it is likely to affect Postgres and any other database backend as well. This vulnerability has been confirmed on Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows. Users are advised to upgrade as soon as possible. The only known workaround is to manually patch your installation with code referenced at the source GHSA-p6h4-93qp-jhcm.
CVE-2022-23220 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Gentoo and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux and 1 more | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
USBView 2.1 before 2.2 allows some local users (e.g., ones logged in via SSH) to execute arbitrary code as root because certain Polkit settings (e.g., allow_any=yes) for pkexec disable the authentication requirement. Code execution can, for example, use the --gtk-module option. This affects Ubuntu, Debian, and Gentoo.
CVE-2022-23238 | 5 Canonical, Centos, Linux and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Centos, Linux Kernel and 2 more | 2024-08-03 | 6.5 Medium |
Linux deployments of StorageGRID (formerly StorageGRID Webscale) versions 11.6.0 through 11.6.0.2 deployed with a Linux kernel version less than 4.7.0 are susceptible to a vulnerability which could allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to view limited metrics information and modify alert email recipients and content.
CVE-2022-3328 | 1 Canonical | 2 Snapd, Ubuntu Linux | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
Race condition in snap-confine's must_mkdir_and_open_with_perms()
CVE-2022-2602 | 2 Canonical, Linux | 2 Ubuntu Linux, Linux Kernel | 2024-08-03 | 5.3 Medium |
io_uring UAF, Unix SCM garbage collection
CVE-2022-2084 | 1 Canonical | 2 Cloud-init, Ubuntu Linux | 2024-08-03 | 5.5 Medium |
Sensitive data could be exposed in world readable logs of cloud-init before version 22.3 when schema failures are reported. This leak could include hashed passwords.
CVE-2022-1184 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more | 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 3 more | 2024-08-02 | 5.5 Medium |
A use-after-free flaw was found in fs/ext4/namei.c:dx_insert_block() in the Linux kernel’s filesystem sub-component. This flaw allows a local attacker with a user privilege to cause a denial of service.
CVE-2022-1055 | 5 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more | 22 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 19 more | 2024-08-02 | 7.8 High |
A use-after-free exists in the Linux Kernel in tc_new_tfilter that could allow a local attacker to gain privilege escalation. The exploit requires unprivileged user namespaces. We recommend upgrading past commit 04c2a47ffb13c29778e2a14e414ad4cb5a5db4b5
CVE-2022-0492 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 36 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 33 more | 2024-08-02 | 7.8 High |
A vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel’s cgroup_release_agent_write in the kernel/cgroup/cgroup-v1.c function. This flaw, under certain circumstances, allows the use of the cgroups v1 release_agent feature to escalate privileges and bypass the namespace isolation unexpectedly.
CVE-2022-0319 | 4 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 4 Macos, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 1 more | 2024-08-02 | 5.5 Medium |
Out-of-bounds Read in vim/vim prior to 8.2.
CVE-2023-45866 | 6 Apple, Bluproducts, Canonical and 3 more | 16 Ipad Os, Iphone Os, Iphone Se and 13 more | 2024-08-02 | 6.3 Medium |
Bluetooth HID Hosts in BlueZ may permit an unauthenticated Peripheral role HID Device to initiate and establish an encrypted connection, and accept HID keyboard reports, potentially permitting injection of HID messages when no user interaction has occurred in the Central role to authorize such access. An example affected package is bluez 5.64-0ubuntu1 in Ubuntu 22.04LTS. NOTE: in some cases, a CVE-2020-0556 mitigation would have already addressed this Bluetooth HID Hosts issue.
CVE-2023-44216 | 7 Amd, Apple, Canonical and 4 more | 16 Ryzen 5 7600x, Ryzen 7 4800u, M1 Mac Mini and 13 more | 2024-08-02 | 5.3 Medium |
PVRIC (PowerVR Image Compression) on Imagination 2018 and later GPU devices offers software-transparent compression that enables cross-origin pixel-stealing attacks against feTurbulence and feBlend in the SVG Filter specification, aka a GPU.zip issue. For example, attackers can sometimes accurately determine text contained on a web page from one origin if they control a resource from a different origin.
CVE-2023-35788 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more | 20 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 17 more | 2024-08-02 | 7.8 High |
An issue was discovered in fl_set_geneve_opt in net/sched/cls_flower.c in the Linux kernel before 6.3.7. It allows an out-of-bounds write in the flower classifier code via TCA_FLOWER_KEY_ENC_OPTS_GENEVE packets. This may result in denial of service or privilege escalation.
CVE-2023-32629 | 1 Canonical | 1 Ubuntu Linux | 2024-08-02 | 7.8 High |
