CVE-2021-23133 6 Broadcom, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 25 Brocade Fabric Operating System, Debian Linux, Fedora and 22 more 2024-11-21 6.7 Medium
A race condition in Linux kernel SCTP sockets (net/sctp/socket.c) before 5.12-rc8 can lead to kernel privilege escalation from the context of a network service or an unprivileged process. If sctp_destroy_sock is called without sock_net(sk)->sctp.addr_wq_lock then an element is removed from the auto_asconf_splist list without any proper locking. This can be exploited by an attacker with network service privileges to escalate to root or from the context of an unprivileged user directly if a BPF_CGROUP_INET_SOCK_CREATE is attached which denies creation of some SCTP socket.
CVE-2021-22924 8 Debian, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 5 more 55 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libcurl and 52 more 2024-11-21 3.7 Low
libcurl keeps previously used connections in a connection pool for subsequenttransfers to reuse, if one of them matches the setup.Due to errors in the logic, the config matching function did not take 'issuercert' into account and it compared the involved paths *case insensitively*,which could lead to libcurl reusing wrong connections.File paths are, or can be, case sensitive on many systems but not all, and caneven vary depending on used file systems. The comparison also didn't include the 'issuer cert' which a transfer can setto qualify how to verify the server certificate.
CVE-2021-22901 6 Haxx, Netapp, Oracle and 3 more 35 Curl, Active Iq Unified Manager, Cloud Backup and 32 more 2024-11-21 8.1 High
curl 7.75.0 through 7.76.1 suffers from a use-after-free vulnerability resulting in already freed memory being used when a TLS 1.3 session ticket arrives over a connection. A malicious server can use this in rare unfortunate circumstances to potentially reach remote code execution in the client. When libcurl at run-time sets up support for TLS 1.3 session tickets on a connection using OpenSSL, it stores pointers to the transfer in-memory object for later retrieval when a session ticket arrives. If the connection is used by multiple transfers (like with a reused HTTP/1.1 connection or multiplexed HTTP/2 connection) that first transfer object might be freed before the new session is established on that connection and then the function will access a memory buffer that might be freed. When using that memory, libcurl might even call a function pointer in the object, making it possible for a remote code execution if the server could somehow manage to get crafted memory content into the correct place in memory.
CVE-2021-22897 5 Haxx, Netapp, Oracle and 2 more 30 Curl, Cloud Backup, H300e and 27 more 2024-11-21 5.3 Medium
curl 7.61.0 through 7.76.1 suffers from exposure of data element to wrong session due to a mistake in the code for CURLOPT_SSL_CIPHER_LIST when libcurl is built to use the Schannel TLS library. The selected cipher set was stored in a single "static" variable in the library, which has the surprising side-effect that if an application sets up multiple concurrent transfers, the last one that sets the ciphers will accidentally control the set used by all transfers. In a worst-case scenario, this weakens transport security significantly.
CVE-2021-20322 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 3 more 34 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 31 more 2024-11-21 7.4 High
A flaw in the processing of received ICMP errors (ICMP fragment needed and ICMP redirect) in the Linux kernel functionality was found to allow the ability to quickly scan open UDP ports. This flaw allows an off-path remote user to effectively bypass the source port UDP randomization. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality and possibly integrity, because software that relies on UDP source port randomization are indirectly affected as well.
CVE-2021-20197 4 Broadcom, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more 6 Brocade Fabric Operating System Firmware, Binutils, Cloud Backup and 3 more 2024-11-21 6.3 Medium
There is an open race window when writing output in the following utilities in GNU binutils version 2.35 and earlier:ar, objcopy, strip, ranlib. When these utilities are run as a privileged user (presumably as part of a script updating binaries across different users), an unprivileged user can trick these utilities into getting ownership of arbitrary files through a symlink.
CVE-2020-8832 2 Canonical, Netapp 60 Ubuntu Linux, Aff 8300, Aff 8300 Firmware and 57 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
The fix for the Linux kernel in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS for CVE-2019-14615 ("The Linux kernel did not properly clear data structures on context switches for certain Intel graphics processors.") was discovered to be incomplete, meaning that in versions of the kernel before 4.15.0-91.92, an attacker could use this vulnerability to expose sensitive information.
CVE-2020-36516 3 Linux, Netapp, Redhat 32 Linux Kernel, Bootstrap Os, Cloud Volumes Ontap Mediator and 29 more 2024-11-21 5.9 Medium
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.16.11. The mixed IPID assignment method with the hash-based IPID assignment policy allows an off-path attacker to inject data into a victim's TCP session or terminate that session.

There's a flaw in bfd_pef_parse_function_stubs of bfd/pef.c in binutils in versions prior to 2.34 which could allow an attacker who is able to submit a crafted file to be processed by objdump to cause a NULL pointer dereference. The greatest threat of this flaw is to application availability.
CVE-2020-35496 4 Broadcom, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 1 more 9 Brocade Fabric Operating System Firmware, Fedora, Binutils and 6 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
There's a flaw in bfd_pef_scan_start_address() of bfd/pef.c in binutils which could allow an attacker who is able to submit a crafted file to be processed by objdump to cause a NULL pointer dereference. The greatest threat of this flaw is to application availability. This flaw affects binutils versions prior to 2.34.
CVE-2020-35495 4 Broadcom, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 1 more 9 Brocade Fabric Operating System Firmware, Fedora, Binutils and 6 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
There's a flaw in binutils /bfd/pef.c. An attacker who is able to submit a crafted input file to be processed by the objdump program could cause a null pointer dereference. The greatest threat from this flaw is to application availability. This flaw affects binutils versions prior to 2.34.
CVE-2020-35494 4 Broadcom, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 1 more 9 Brocade Fabric Operating System Firmware, Fedora, Binutils and 6 more 2024-11-21 6.1 Medium
There's a flaw in binutils /opcodes/tic4x-dis.c. An attacker who is able to submit a crafted input file to be processed by binutils could cause usage of uninitialized memory. The highest threat is to application availability with a lower threat to data confidentiality. This flaw affects binutils versions prior to 2.34.
CVE-2020-35493 4 Broadcom, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 1 more 9 Brocade Fabric Operating System Firmware, Fedora, Binutils and 6 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
A flaw exists in binutils in bfd/pef.c. An attacker who is able to submit a crafted PEF file to be parsed by objdump could cause a heap buffer overflow -> out-of-bounds read that could lead to an impact to application availability. This flaw affects binutils versions prior to 2.34.
CVE-2020-29569 4 Debian, Linux, Netapp and 1 more 7 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Hci Compute Node and 4 more 2024-11-21 8.8 High
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.10.1, as used with Xen through 4.14.x. The Linux kernel PV block backend expects the kernel thread handler to reset ring->xenblkd to NULL when stopped. However, the handler may not have time to run if the frontend quickly toggles between the states connect and disconnect. As a consequence, the block backend may re-use a pointer after it was freed. A misbehaving guest can trigger a dom0 crash by continuously connecting / disconnecting a block frontend. Privilege escalation and information leaks cannot be ruled out. This only affects systems with a Linux blkback.
CVE-2020-29374 3 Debian, Linux, Netapp 11 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, 500f and 8 more 2024-11-21 3.6 Low
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.7.3, related to mm/gup.c and mm/huge_memory.c. The get_user_pages (aka gup) implementation, when used for a copy-on-write page, does not properly consider the semantics of read operations and therefore can grant unintended write access, aka CID-17839856fd58.
CVE-2020-29370 2 Linux, Netapp 10 Linux Kernel, Cloud Backup, H410c and 7 more 2024-11-21 7.0 High
An issue was discovered in kmem_cache_alloc_bulk in mm/slub.c in the Linux kernel before 5.5.11. The slowpath lacks the required TID increment, aka CID-fd4d9c7d0c71.
CVE-2020-25669 3 Debian, Linux, Netapp 21 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Cloud Backup and 18 more 2024-11-21 7.8 High
A vulnerability was found in the Linux Kernel where the function sunkbd_reinit having been scheduled by sunkbd_interrupt before sunkbd being freed. Though the dangling pointer is set to NULL in sunkbd_disconnect, there is still an alias in sunkbd_reinit causing Use After Free.
CVE-2020-25668 3 Debian, Linux, Netapp 26 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, 500f and 23 more 2024-11-21 7.0 High
A flaw was found in Linux Kernel because access to the global variable fg_console is not properly synchronized leading to a use after free in con_font_op.
CVE-2020-25645 6 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 3 more 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 7 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel in versions before 5.9-rc7. Traffic between two Geneve endpoints may be unencrypted when IPsec is configured to encrypt traffic for the specific UDP port used by the GENEVE tunnel allowing anyone between the two endpoints to read the traffic unencrypted. The main threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality.
CVE-2020-25221 2 Linux, Netapp 6 Linux Kernel, Cloud Backup, Hci Compute Node and 3 more 2024-11-21 7.8 High
get_gate_page in mm/gup.c in the Linux kernel 5.7.x and 5.8.x before 5.8.7 allows privilege escalation because of incorrect reference counting (caused by gate page mishandling) of the struct page that backs the vsyscall page. The result is a refcount underflow. This can be triggered by any 64-bit process that can use ptrace() or process_vm_readv(), aka CID-9fa2dd946743.
