| There's a flaw in urllib's AbstractBasicAuthHandler class. An attacker who controls a malicious HTTP server that an HTTP client (such as web browser) connects to, could trigger a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDOS) during an authentication request with a specially crafted payload that is sent by the server to the client. The greatest threat that this flaw poses is to application availability. |

| sqlparse is a non-validating SQL parser module for Python. In sqlparse versions 0.4.0 and 0.4.1 there is a regular Expression Denial of Service in sqlparse vulnerability. The regular expression may cause exponential backtracking on strings containing many repetitions of '\r\n' in SQL comments. Only the formatting feature that removes comments from SQL statements is affected by this regular expression. As a workaround don't use the sqlformat.format function with keyword strip_comments=True or the --strip-comments command line flag when using the sqlformat command line tool. The issues has been fixed in sqlparse 0.4.2. |

In algorithms with quadratic time complexity using non-binary bases, when using int("text"), a system could take 50ms to parse an int string with 100,000 digits and 5s for 1,000,000 digits (float, decimal, int.from_bytes(), and int() for binary bases 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 are not affected). The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability. |

arm64: cacheinfo: Avoid out-of-bounds write to cacheinfo array
The loop that detects/populates cache information already has a bounds
check on the array size but does not account for cache levels with
separate data/instructions cache. Fix this by incrementing the index
for any populated leaf (instead of any populated level). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
USB: serial: quatech2: fix null-ptr-deref in qt2_process_read_urb()
This patch addresses a null-ptr-deref in qt2_process_read_urb() due to
an incorrect bounds check in the following:

The condition doesn't account for the valid range of the serial->port
buffer, which is from 0 to serial->num_ports - 1. When newport is equal
to serial->num_ports, the assignment of "port" in the
following code is out-of-bounds and NULL:
serial_priv->current_port = newport;
port = serial->port[serial_priv->current_port];
The fix checks if newport is greater than or equal to serial->num_ports
indicating it is out-of-bounds. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
pmdomain: imx8mp-blk-ctrl: add missing loop break condition
Currently imx8mp_blk_ctrl_remove() will continue the for loop
until an out-of-bounds exception occurs.
