CVE-2021-3864 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 3 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2024-08-03 7.0 High
A flaw was found in the way the dumpable flag setting was handled when certain SUID binaries executed its descendants. The prerequisite is a SUID binary that sets real UID equal to effective UID, and real GID equal to effective GID. The descendant will then have a dumpable value set to 1. As a result, if the descendant process crashes and core_pattern is set to a relative value, its core dump is stored in the current directory with uid:gid permissions. An unprivileged local user with eligible root SUID binary could use this flaw to place core dumps into root-owned directories, potentially resulting in escalation of privileges.

A use-after-free vulnerability was found in the virtio-net device of QEMU. It could occur when the descriptor's address belongs to the non direct access region, due to num_buffers being set after the virtqueue elem has been unmapped. A malicious guest could use this flaw to crash QEMU, resulting in a denial of service condition, or potentially execute code on the host with the privileges of the QEMU process.
CVE-2021-3752 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 3 more 28 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 25 more 2024-08-03 7.1 High
A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Bluetooth subsystem in the way user calls connect to the socket and disconnect simultaneously due to a race condition. This flaw allows a user to crash the system or escalate their privileges. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability.
CVE-2021-3760 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more 19 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 16 more 2024-08-03 7.8 High
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. A use-after-free vulnerability in the NFC stack can lead to a threat to confidentiality, integrity, and system availability.
CVE-2021-3744 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more 24 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 21 more 2024-08-03 5.5 Medium
A memory leak flaw was found in the Linux kernel in the ccp_run_aes_gcm_cmd() function in drivers/crypto/ccp/ccp-ops.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption). This vulnerability is similar with the older CVE-2019-18808.
CVE-2021-3700 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2024-08-03 6.4 Medium
A use-after-free vulnerability was found in usbredir in versions prior to 0.11.0 in the usbredirparser_serialize() in usbredirparser/usbredirparser.c. This issue occurs when serializing large amounts of buffered write data in the case of a slow or blocked destination.
CVE-2021-3735 2 Debian, Qemu 2 Debian Linux, Qemu 2024-08-03 4.4 Medium
A deadlock issue was found in the AHCI controller device of QEMU. It occurs on a software reset (ahci_reset_port) while handling a host-to-device Register FIS (Frame Information Structure) packet from the guest. A privileged user inside the guest could use this flaw to hang the QEMU process on the host, resulting in a denial of service condition. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2021-3679 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 3 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2024-08-03 5.5 Medium
A lack of CPU resource in the Linux kernel tracing module functionality in versions prior to 5.14-rc3 was found in the way user uses trace ring buffer in a specific way. Only privileged local users (with CAP_SYS_ADMIN capability) could use this flaw to starve the resources causing denial of service.
CVE-2021-3537 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more 21 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 18 more 2024-08-03 5.9 Medium
A vulnerability found in libxml2 in versions before 2.9.11 shows that it did not propagate errors while parsing XML mixed content, causing a NULL dereference. If an untrusted XML document was parsed in recovery mode and post-validated, the flaw could be used to crash the application. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2021-3653 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 8 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 5 more 2024-08-03 8.8 High
A flaw was found in the KVM's AMD code for supporting SVM nested virtualization. The flaw occurs when processing the VMCB (virtual machine control block) provided by the L1 guest to spawn/handle a nested guest (L2). Due to improper validation of the "int_ctl" field, this issue could allow a malicious L1 to enable AVIC support (Advanced Virtual Interrupt Controller) for the L2 guest. As a result, the L2 guest would be allowed to read/write physical pages of the host, resulting in a crash of the entire system, leak of sensitive data or potential guest-to-host escape. This flaw affects Linux kernel versions prior to 5.14-rc7.
CVE-2021-3608 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Qemu 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Qemu 2024-08-03 6.0 Medium

The highest threat from this vulnerability is to integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2021-3566 2 Debian, Ffmpeg 2 Debian Linux, Ffmpeg 2024-08-03 5.5 Medium
Prior to ffmpeg version 4.3, the tty demuxer did not have a 'read_probe' function assigned to it. By crafting a legitimate "ffconcat" file that references an image, followed by a file the triggers the tty demuxer, the contents of the second file will be copied into the output file verbatim (as long as the `-vcodec copy` option is passed to ffmpeg).
