CVSS v3.1 |
A use-after-free vulnerability exists in the way Foxit Reader 12.1.2.15356 handles a signature field. A specially crafted Javascript code inside a malicious PDF document can trigger reuse of a previously freed object, which can lead to memory corruption and result in arbitrary code execution. An attacker needs to trick the user into opening the malicious file to trigger this vulnerability. Exploitation is also possible if a user visits a specially crafted, malicious site if the browser plugin extension is enabled. |
The aio_aqueue function, used by the lio_listio system call, fails to release a reference to a credential in an error case.
An attacker may cause the reference count to overflow, leading to a use after free (UAF). |
Multiple vulnerabilities in the Cisco AnyConnect VPN server of Cisco Meraki MX and Cisco Meraki Z Series Teleworker Gateway devices could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a DoS condition in the AnyConnect service on an affected device.
These vulnerabilities are due to insufficient validation of client-supplied parameters while establishing an SSL VPN session. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by sending a crafted HTTPS request to the VPN server of an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the Cisco AnyConnect VPN server to restart, resulting in the failure of the established SSL VPN connections and forcing remote users to initiate a new VPN connection and reauthenticate. A sustained attack could prevent new SSL VPN connections from being established.
Note: When the attack traffic stops, the Cisco AnyConnect VPN server recovers gracefully without requiring manual intervention. |
Windows Defender Credential Guard Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability |
Memory corruption while processing IOCTL command to handle buffers associated with a session. |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: act_mirred: don't override retval if we already lost the skb
If we're redirecting the skb, and haven't called tcf_mirred_forward(),
yet, we need to tell the core to drop the skb by setting the retcode
to SHOT. If we have called tcf_mirred_forward(), however, the skb
is out of our hands and returning SHOT will lead to UaF.
Move the retval override to the error path which actually need it. |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

This is due to that free_irq_cpu_rmap() is always being called
*after* (devm_)free_irq() and thus it tries to work with IRQ descs
already freed. For example, on device reset the driver frees the
rmap right before allocating a new one (the splat above).
Make rmap creation and freeing function symmetrical with
{request,free}_irq() calls i.e. do that on ifup/ifdown instead
of device probe/remove/resume. These operations can be performed
independently from the actual device aRFS configuration.
Also, make sure ice_vsi_free_irq() clears IRQ affinity notifiers
only when aRFS is disabled -- otherwise, CPU rmap sets and clears
its own and they must not be touched manually. |
Use after free in Network in Google Chrome prior to 121.0.6167.139 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a malicious file. (Chromium security severity: High) |

In libexpat through 2.4.9, there is a use-after free caused by overeager destruction of a shared DTD in XML_ExternalEntityParserCreate in out-of-memory situations. |
libexpat before 2.4.9 has a use-after-free in the doContent function in xmlparse.c. |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/i915/hwmon: Get rid of devm
When both hwmon and hwmon drvdata (on which hwmon depends) are device
managed resources, the expectation, on device unbind, is that hwmon will be
released before drvdata. However, in i915 there are two separate code
paths, which both release either drvdata or hwmon and either can be
released before the other. These code paths (for device unbind) are as
follows (see also the bug referenced below):
Call Trace:

device_unbind_cleanup+0x9/0x70

unbind_store+0x9c/0xb0
This means that in i915, if use devm, we cannot gurantee that hwmon will
always be released before drvdata. Which means that we have a uaf if hwmon
sysfs is accessed when drvdata has been released but hwmon hasn't.
The only way out of this seems to be do get rid of devm_ and release/free
everything explicitly during device unbind.
