CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: imx-jpeg: Cleanup after an allocation error
When allocation failures are not cleaned up by the driver, further
allocation errors will be false-positives, which will cause buffers to
remain uninitialized and cause NULL pointer dereferences.
Ensure proper cleanup of failed allocations to prevent these issues. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: cxusb: no longer judge rbuf when the write fails
syzbot reported a uninit-value in cxusb_i2c_xfer. [1]
Only when the write operation of usb_bulk_msg() in dvb_usb_generic_rw()
succeeds and rlen is greater than 0, the read operation of usb_bulk_msg()
will be executed to read rlen bytes of data from the dvb device into the
rbuf.
In this case, although rlen is 1, the write operation failed which resulted
in the dvb read operation not being executed, and ultimately variable i was
not initialized.

| RiteCMS v3.1.0 was discovered to use insecure encryption to store passwords. |
| RiteCMS v3.1.0 was discovered to contain an authenticated remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability via the parse_special_tags() function. |
| ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. Prior to version 5.21.0, a pre-authentication remote code execution vulnerability in ChurchCRM's setup wizard allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary PHP code during the initial installation process, leading to complete server compromise. The vulnerability exists in `setup/routes/setup.php` where user input from the setup form is directly concatenated into a PHP configuration template without any validation or sanitization. Any parameter in the setup form can be used to inject PHP code that gets written to `Include/Config.php`, which is then executed on every page load. This is more severe than typical authenticated RCE vulnerabilities because it requires no credentials and affects the installation process that administrators must complete. Version 5.21.0 patches the issue. |
| ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. In versions prior to 6.5.3, the Database Restore functionality does not validate the content or file extension of uploaded files. As a result, an attacker can upload a web shell file and subsequently upload a .htaccess file to enable direct access to it. Once accessed, the uploaded web shell allows remote code execution (RCE) on the server. Version 6.5.3 fixes the issue. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mtd: nand: ecc-mxic: Fix use of uninitialized variable ret
If ctx->steps is zero, the loop processing ECC steps is skipped,
and the variable ret remains uninitialized. It is later checked
and returned, which leads to undefined behavior and may cause
unpredictable results in user space or kernel crashes.
This scenario can be triggered in edge cases such as misconfigured
geometry, ECC engine misuse, or if ctx->steps is not validated
after initialization.
Initialize ret to zero before the loop to ensure correct and safe
behavior regardless of the ctx->steps value.
Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE. |
| Pi-hole Admin Interface is a web interface for managing Pi-hole, a network-level advertisement and internet tracker blocking application. Pi-hole Admin Interface before 6.3 is vulnerable to Carriage Return Line Feed (CRLF) injection. When a request is made to a file ending with the .lp extension, the application performs a redirect without properly sanitizing the input. An attacker can inject carriage return and line feed characters (%0d%0a) to manipulate both the headers and the content of the HTTP response. This enables the injection of arbitrary HTTP response headers, potentially leading to session fixation, cache poisoning, and the weakening or bypassing of browser-based security mechanisms such as Content Security Policy or X-XSS-Protection. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.3. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
powerpc/fixmap: Fix VM debug warning on unmap
Unmapping a fixmap entry is done by calling __set_fixmap()
with FIXMAP_PAGE_CLEAR as flags.
Today, powerpc __set_fixmap() calls map_kernel_page().
map_kernel_page() is not happy when called a second time
for the same page.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: v4l2-core: explicitly clear ioctl input data
As seen from a recent syzbot bug report, mistakes in the compat ioctl
implementation can lead to uninitialized kernel stack data getting used
as input for driver ioctl handlers.
The reported bug is now fixed, but it's possible that other related
bugs are still present or get added in the future. As the drivers need
to check user input already, the possible impact is fairly low, but it
might still cause an information leak.
To be on the safe side, always clear the entire ioctl buffer before
calling the conversion handler functions that are meant to initialize
them. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommu/arm-smmu: Fix arm_smmu_device refcount leak when arm_smmu_rpm_get fails
arm_smmu_rpm_get() invokes pm_runtime_get_sync(), which increases the
refcount of the "smmu" even though the return value is less than 0.
The reference counting issue happens in some error handling paths of
arm_smmu_rpm_get() in its caller functions. When arm_smmu_rpm_get()
fails, the caller functions forget to decrease the refcount of "smmu"
increased by arm_smmu_rpm_get(), causing a refcount leak.
Fix this issue by calling pm_runtime_resume_and_get() instead of
pm_runtime_get_sync() in arm_smmu_rpm_get(), which can keep the refcount
balanced in case of failure. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
PCI: aardvark: Fix kernel panic during PIO transfer
Trying to start a new PIO transfer by writing value 0 in PIO_START register
when previous transfer has not yet completed (which is indicated by value 1
in PIO_START) causes an External Abort on CPU, which results in kernel
panic:
SError Interrupt on CPU0, code 0xbf000002 -- SError
Kernel panic - not syncing: Asynchronous SError Interrupt
To prevent kernel panic, it is required to reject a new PIO transfer when
previous one has not finished yet.
If previous PIO transfer is not finished yet, the kernel may issue a new
PIO request only if the previous PIO transfer timed out.
In the past the root cause of this issue was incorrectly identified (as it
often happens during link retraining or after link down event) and special
hack was implemented in Trusted Firmware to catch all SError events in EL3,
to ignore errors with code 0xbf000002 and not forwarding any other errors
to kernel and instead throw panic from EL3 Trusted Firmware handler.
Links to discussion and patches about this issue:
https://git.trustedfirmware.org/TF-A/trusted-firmware-a.git/commit/?id=3c7dcdac5c50
https://lore.kernel.org/linux-pci/20190316161243.29517-1-repk@triplefau.lt/
https://lore.kernel.org/linux-pci/971be151d24312cc533989a64bd454b4@www.loen.fr/
https://review.trustedfirmware.org/c/TF-A/trusted-firmware-a/+/1541
But the real cause was the fact that during link retraining or after link
down event the PIO transfer may take longer time, up to the 1.44s until it
times out. This increased probability that a new PIO transfer would be
issued by kernel while previous one has not finished yet.
After applying this change into the kernel, it is possible to revert the
mentioned TF-A hack and SError events do not have to be caught in TF-A EL3. |
| Aqara Hub devices including Camera Hub G3 4.1.9_0027, Hub M2 4.3.6_0027, and Hub M3 4.3.6_0025 contain an undocumented remote access mechanism enabling unrestricted remote command execution. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: renesas_usbhs: Reorder clock handling and power management in probe
Reorder the initialization sequence in `usbhs_probe()` to enable runtime
PM before accessing registers, preventing potential crashes due to
uninitialized clocks.
Currently, in the probe path, registers are accessed before enabling the
clocks, leading to a synchronous external abort on the RZ/V2H SoC.
The problematic call flow is as follows:
usbhs_probe()
usbhs_sys_clock_ctrl()
usbhs_bset()
usbhs_write()
iowrite16() <-- Register access before enabling clocks
Since `iowrite16()` is performed without ensuring the required clocks are
enabled, this can lead to access errors. To fix this, enable PM runtime
early in the probe function and ensure clocks are acquired before register
access, preventing crashes like the following on RZ/V2H:

NOTE: the vendor's position is that this report is irrelevant because Ray, as stated in its documentation, is not intended for use outside of a strictly controlled network environment. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: ch9200: fix uninitialised access during mii_nway_restart
In mii_nway_restart() the code attempts to call
mii->mdio_read which is ch9200_mdio_read(). ch9200_mdio_read()
utilises a local buffer called "buff", which is initialised
with control_read(). However "buff" is conditionally
initialised inside control_read():
if (err == size) {
memcpy(data, buf, size);
}
If the condition of "err == size" is not met, then
"buff" remains uninitialised. Once this happens the
uninitialised "buff" is accessed and returned during
ch9200_mdio_read():
return (buff[0] | buff[1] << 8);
The problem stems from the fact that ch9200_mdio_read()
ignores the return value of control_read(), leading to
uinit-access of "buff".
To fix this we should check the return value of
control_read() and return early on error. |
