CVE-2024-26768 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: LoongArch: Change acpi_core_pic[NR_CPUS] to acpi_core_pic[MAX_CORE_PIC] With default config, the value of NR_CPUS is 64. When HW platform has more then 64 cpus, system will crash on these platforms. MAX_CORE_PIC is the maximum cpu number in MADT table (max physical number) which can exceed the supported maximum cpu number (NR_CPUS, max logical number), but kernel should not crash. Kernel should boot cpus with NR_CPUS, let the remainder cpus stay in BIOS. The potential crash reason is that the array acpi_core_pic[NR_CPUS] can be overflowed when parsing MADT table, and it is obvious that CORE_PIC should be corresponding to physical core rather than logical core, so it is better to define the array as acpi_core_pic[MAX_CORE_PIC]. With the patch, system can boot up 64 vcpus with qemu parameter -smp 128, otherwise system will crash with the following message. CVE-2024-26718 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-crypt, dm-verity: disable tasklets Tasklets have an inherent problem with memory corruption. The function tasklet_action_common calls tasklet_trylock, then it calls the tasklet callback and then it calls tasklet_unlock. If the tasklet callback frees the structure that contains the tasklet or if it calls some code that may free it, tasklet_unlock will write into free memory. The commits 8e14f610159d and d9a02e016aaf try to fix it for dm-crypt, but it is not a sufficient fix and the data corruption can still happen [1]. There is no fix for dm-verity and dm-verity will write into free memory with every tasklet-processed bio. There will be atomic workqueues implemented in the kernel 6.9 [2]. They will have better interface and they will not suffer from the memory corruption problem. But we need something that stops the memory corruption now and that can be backported to the stable kernels. So, I'm proposing this commit that disables tasklets in both dm-crypt and dm-verity. This commit doesn't remove the tasklet support, because the tasklet code will be reused when atomic workqueues will be implemented. CVE-2024-26664 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 3 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (coretemp) Fix out-of-bounds memory access Fix a bug that pdata->cpu_map[] is set before out-of-bounds check. The problem might be triggered on systems with more than 128 cores per package.
CVE-2024-26660 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-08-04 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Implement bounds check for stream encoder creation in DCN301 'stream_enc_regs' array is an array of dcn10_stream_enc_registers structures. The array is initialized with four elements, corresponding to the four calls to stream_enc_regs() in the array initializer. This means that valid indices for this array are 0, 1, 2, and 3. The error message 'stream_enc_regs' 4 <= 5 below, is indicating that there is an attempt to access this array with an index of 5, which is out of bounds. This could lead to undefined behavior Here, eng_id is used as an index to access the stream_enc_regs array. If eng_id is 5, this would result in an out-of-bounds access on the stream_enc_regs array. Thus fixing Buffer overflow error in dcn301_stream_encoder_create reported by Smatch: drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/resource/dcn301/dcn301_resource.c:1011 dcn301_stream_encoder_create() error: buffer overflow 'stream_enc_regs' 4 <= 5

CVE-2023-53465 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soundwire: qcom: fix storing port config out-of-bounds The 'qcom_swrm_ctrl->pconfig' has size of QCOM_SDW_MAX_PORTS (14), however we index it starting from 1, not 0, to match real port numbers. This can lead to writing port config past 'pconfig' bounds and overwriting next member of 'qcom_swrm_ctrl' struct. Reported also by smatch: drivers/soundwire/qcom.c:1269 qcom_swrm_get_port_config() error: buffer overflow 'ctrl->pconfig' 14 <= 14
CVE-2023-53376 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mpi3mr: Use number of bits to manage bitmap sizes To allocate bitmaps, the mpi3mr driver calculates sizes of bitmaps using byte as unit. However, bitmap helper functions assume that bitmaps are allocated using unsigned long as unit. This gap causes memory access beyond the bitmap sizes and results in "BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds". The BUG was observed at firmware download to eHBA-9600. Call trace indicated that the out-of-bounds access happened in find_first_zero_bit() called from mpi3mr_send_event_ack() for miroc->evtack_cmds_bitmap. To fix the BUG, do not use bytes to manage bitmap sizes. Instead, use number of bits, and call bitmap helper functions which take number of bits as arguments. For memory allocation, call bitmap_zalloc() instead of kzalloc() and krealloc(). For memory free, call bitmap_free() instead of kfree(). For zero clear, call bitmap_clear() instead of memset(). Remove three fields for bitmap byte sizes in struct scmd_priv which are no longer required. Replace the field dev_handle_bitmap_sz with dev_handle_bitmap_bits to keep number of bits of removepend_bitmap across resize.
CVE-2023-53333 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 8.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: conntrack: dccp: copy entire header to stack buffer, not just basic one Eric Dumazet says: nf_conntrack_dccp_packet() has an unique: dh = skb_header_pointer(skb, dataoff, sizeof(_dh), &_dh); And nothing more is 'pulled' from the packet, depending on the content. dh->dccph_doff, and/or dh->dccph_x ...) So dccp_ack_seq() is happily reading stuff past the _dh buffer. BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in nf_conntrack_dccp_packet+0x1134/0x11c0 Read of size 4 at addr ffff000128f66e0c by task syz-executor.2/29371 [..] Fix this by increasing the stack buffer to also include room for the extra sequence numbers and all the known dccp packet type headers, then pull again after the initial validation of the basic header. While at it, mark packets invalid that lack 48bit sequence bit but where RFC says the type MUST use them. Compile tested only. v2: first skb_header_pointer() now needs to adjust the size to only pull the generic header. (Eric) Heads-up: I intend to remove dccp conntrack support later this year.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cacheinfo: Fix shared_cpu_map to handle shared caches at different levels The cacheinfo sets up the shared_cpu_map by checking whether the caches with the same index are shared between CPUs. However, this will trigger slab-out-of-bounds access if the CPUs do not have the same cache hierarchy. Another problem is the mismatched shared_cpu_map when the shared cache does not have the same index between CPUs. CPU0 I D L3 index 0 1 2 x ^ ^ ^ ^ index 0 1 2 3 CPU1 I D L2 L3 This patch checks each cache is shared with all caches on other CPUs.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: jfs_dmap: Validate db_l2nbperpage while mounting In jfs_dmap.c at line 381, BLKTODMAP is used to get a logical block number inside dbFree(). db_l2nbperpage, which is the log2 number of blocks per page, is passed as an argument to BLKTODMAP which uses it for shifting. Syzbot reported a shift out-of-bounds crash because db_l2nbperpage is too big. This happens because the large value is set without any validation in dbMount() at line 181. Thus, make sure that db_l2nbperpage is correct while mounting. Max number of blocks per page = Page size / Min block size => log2(Max num_block per page) = log2(Page size / Min block size) = log2(Page size) - log2(Min block size) => Max db_l2nbperpage = L2PSIZE - L2MINBLOCKSIZE
