Spring Batch versions 3.0.9, 4.0.1, 4.1.0, and older unsupported versions, were susceptible to XML External Entity Injection (XXE) when receiving XML data from untrusted sources.
CVE-2016-6814 2 Apache, Redhat 7 Groovy, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Server and 4 more 2024-09-16 N/A
When an application with unsupported Codehaus versions of Groovy from 1.7.0 to 2.4.3, Apache Groovy 2.4.4 to 2.4.7 on classpath uses standard Java serialization mechanisms, e.g. to communicate between servers or to store local data, it was possible for an attacker to bake a special serialized object that will execute code directly when deserialized. All applications which rely on serialization and do not isolate the code which deserializes objects were subject to this vulnerability.
CVE-2016-5397 2 Apache, Redhat 3 Thrift, Jboss Data Virtualization, Jboss Fuse 2024-09-16 N/A
The Apache Thrift Go client library exposed the potential during code generation for command injection due to using an external formatting tool. Affected Apache Thrift 0.9.3 and older, Fixed in Apache Thrift 0.10.0.
CVE-2020-28491 4 Fasterxml, Oracle, Quarkus and 1 more 11 Jackson-dataformats-binary, Weblogic Server, Quarkus and 8 more 2024-09-16 7.5 High
This affects the package com.fasterxml.jackson.dataformat:jackson-dataformat-cbor from 0 and before 2.11.4, from 2.12.0-rc1 and before 2.12.1. Unchecked allocation of byte buffer can cause a java.lang.OutOfMemoryError exception.
CVE-2017-7559 1 Redhat 4 Jboss Amq, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Fuse and 1 more 2024-09-16 N/A
In Undertow 2.x before 2.0.0.Alpha2, 1.4.x before 1.4.17.Final, and 1.3.x before 1.3.31.Final, it was found that the fix for CVE-2017-2666 was incomplete and invalid characters are still allowed in the query string and path parameters. This could be exploited, in conjunction with a proxy that also permitted the invalid characters but with a different interpretation, to inject data into the HTTP response. By manipulating the HTTP response the attacker could poison a web-cache, perform an XSS attack, or obtain sensitive information from requests other than their own.
CVE-2019-11272 3 Debian, Redhat, Vmware 3 Debian Linux, Jboss Fuse, Spring Security 2024-09-16 7.3 High
Spring Security, versions 4.2.x up to 4.2.12, and older unsupported versions support plain text passwords using PlaintextPasswordEncoder. If an application using an affected version of Spring Security is leveraging PlaintextPasswordEncoder and a user has a null encoded password, a malicious user (or attacker) can authenticate using a password of "null".
CVE-2017-15089 2 Infinispan, Redhat 6 Infinispan, Jboss Data Grid, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform and 3 more 2024-09-16 N/A
It was found that the Hotrod client in Infinispan before 9.2.0.CR1 would unsafely read deserialized data on information from the cache. An authenticated attacker could inject a malicious object into the data cache and attain deserialization on the client, and possibly conduct further attacks.
CVE-2018-1270 4 Debian, Oracle, Redhat and 1 more 29 Debian Linux, Application Testing Suite, Big Data Discovery and 26 more 2024-09-16 9.8 Critical
Spring Framework, versions 5.0 prior to 5.0.5 and versions 4.3 prior to 4.3.15 and older unsupported versions, allow applications to expose STOMP over WebSocket endpoints with a simple, in-memory STOMP broker through the spring-messaging module. A malicious user (or attacker) can craft a message to the broker that can lead to a remote code execution attack.
CVE-2017-12626 2 Apache, Redhat 3 Poi, Jboss Amq, Jboss Fuse 2024-09-16 N/A
Apache POI in versions prior to release 3.17 are vulnerable to Denial of Service Attacks: 1) Infinite Loops while parsing crafted WMF, EMF, MSG and macros (POI bugs 61338 and 61294), and 2) Out of Memory Exceptions while parsing crafted DOC, PPT and XLS (POI bugs 52372 and 61295).
CVE-2017-12634 2 Apache, Redhat 3 Camel, Jboss Amq, Jboss Fuse 2024-09-16 N/A
The camel-castor component in Apache Camel 2.x before 2.19.4 and 2.20.x before 2.20.1 is vulnerable to Java object de-serialisation vulnerability. De-serializing untrusted data can lead to security flaws.
CVE-2018-8036 2 Apache, Redhat 2 Pdfbox, Jboss Fuse 2024-09-16 N/A
In Apache PDFBox 1.8.0 to 1.8.14 and 2.0.0RC1 to 2.0.10, a carefully crafted (or fuzzed) file can trigger an infinite loop which leads to an out of memory exception in Apache PDFBox's AFMParser.
CVE-2018-11796 2 Apache, Redhat 2 Tika, Jboss Fuse 2024-09-16 N/A
In Apache Tika 1.19 (CVE-2018-11761), we added an entity expansion limit for XML parsing. However, Tika reuses SAXParsers and calls reset() after each parse, which, for Xerces2 parsers, as per the documentation, removes the user-specified SecurityManager and thus removes entity expansion limits after the first parse. Apache Tika versions from 0.1 to 1.19 are therefore still vulnerable to entity expansions which can lead to a denial of service attack. Users should upgrade to 1.19.1 or later.
CVE-2020-5398 4 Netapp, Oracle, Redhat and 1 more 34 Data Availability Services, Snapcenter, Application Testing Suite and 31 more 2024-09-16 7.5 High
In Spring Framework, versions 5.2.x prior to 5.2.3, versions 5.1.x prior to 5.1.13, and versions 5.0.x prior to 5.0.16, an application is vulnerable to a reflected file download (RFD) attack when it sets a "Content-Disposition" header in the response where the filename attribute is derived from user supplied input.
CVE-2019-3797 2 Pivotal Software, Redhat 2 Spring Data Java Persistence Api, Jboss Fuse 2024-09-16 N/A
This affects Spring Data JPA in versions up to and including 2.1.5, 2.0.13 and 1.11.19. Derived queries using any of the predicates ‘startingWith’, ‘endingWith’ or ‘containing’ could return more results than anticipated when a maliciously crafted query parameter value is supplied. Also, LIKE expressions in manually defined queries could return unexpected results if the parameter values bound did not have escaped reserved characters properly.
CVE-2017-7536 1 Redhat 9 Enterprise Linux, Hibernate Validator, Jboss Amq and 6 more 2024-09-16 7.0 High
In Hibernate Validator 5.2.x before 5.2.5 final, 5.3.x, and 5.4.x, it was found that when the security manager's reflective permissions, which allows it to access the private members of the class, are granted to Hibernate Validator, a potential privilege escalation can occur. By allowing the calling code to access those private members without the permission an attacker may be able to validate an invalid instance and access the private member value via ConstraintViolation#getInvalidValue().
CVE-2018-1339 2 Apache, Redhat 2 Tika, Jboss Fuse 2024-09-16 N/A
A carefully crafted (or fuzzed) file can trigger an infinite loop in Apache Tika's ChmParser in versions of Apache Tika before 1.18.
CVE-2018-15756 4 Debian, Oracle, Redhat and 1 more 42 Debian Linux, Agile Plm, Communications Brm - Elastic Charging Engine and 39 more 2024-09-16 7.5 High
Spring Framework, version 5.1, versions 5.0.x prior to 5.0.10, versions 4.3.x prior to 4.3.20, and older unsupported versions on the 4.2.x branch provide support for range requests when serving static resources through the ResourceHttpRequestHandler, or starting in 5.0 when an annotated controller returns an org.springframework.core.io.Resource. A malicious user (or attacker) can add a range header with a high number of ranges, or with wide ranges that overlap, or both, for a denial of service attack. This vulnerability affects applications that depend on either spring-webmvc or spring-webflux. Such applications must also have a registration for serving static resources (e.g. JS, CSS, images, and others), or have an annotated controller that returns an org.springframework.core.io.Resource. Spring Boot applications that depend on spring-boot-starter-web or spring-boot-starter-webflux are ready to serve static resources out of the box and are therefore vulnerable.
CVE-2019-0192 3 Apache, Netapp, Redhat 3 Solr, Storage Automation Store, Jboss Fuse 2024-09-16 N/A
In Apache Solr versions 5.0.0 to 5.5.5 and 6.0.0 to 6.6.5, the Config API allows to configure the JMX server via an HTTP POST request. By pointing it to a malicious RMI server, an attacker could take advantage of Solr's unsafe deserialization to trigger remote code execution on the Solr side.
CVE-2018-11797 4 Apache, Fedoraproject, Oracle and 1 more 4 Pdfbox, Fedora, Retail Xstore Point Of Service and 1 more 2024-09-16 5.5 Medium
In Apache PDFBox 1.8.0 to 1.8.15 and 2.0.0RC1 to 2.0.11, a carefully crafted PDF file can trigger an extremely long running computation when parsing the page tree.
CVE-2018-1259 3 Pivotal Software, Redhat, Xmlbeam 5 Spring Data Commons, Spring Data Rest, Jboss Fuse and 2 more 2024-09-16 N/A
Spring Data Commons, versions 1.13 prior to 1.13.12 and 2.0 prior to 2.0.7, used in combination with XMLBeam 1.4.14 or earlier versions, contains a property binder vulnerability caused by improper restriction of XML external entity references as underlying library XMLBeam does not restrict external reference expansion. An unauthenticated remote malicious user can supply specially crafted request parameters against Spring Data's projection-based request payload binding to access arbitrary files on the system.
