CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: smartpqi: Correct device removal for multi-actuator devices
Correct device count for multi-actuator drives which can cause kernel
panics. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv6/sit: use DEV_STATS_INC() to avoid data-races
syzbot/KCSAN reported that multiple cpus are updating dev->stats.tx_error
concurrently.
This is because sit tunnels are NETIF_F_LLTX, meaning their ndo_start_xmit()
is not protected by a spinlock.
While original KCSAN report was about tx path, rx path has the same issue. |
| An attacker can obtain server information using Path Traversal vulnerability to conduct SQL Injection, which possibly exploits Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in MarkAny SafePC Enterprise on Windows, Linux.This issue affects SafePC Enterprise: V7.0.* (V7.0.YYYY.MM.DD) before V7.0.1, and V5.*.*. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: dvb-usb-v2: gl861: Fix null-ptr-deref in gl861_i2c_master_xfer
In gl861_i2c_master_xfer, msg is controlled by user. When msg[i].buf
is null and msg[i].len is zero, former checks on msg[i].buf would be
passed. Malicious data finally reach gl861_i2c_master_xfer. If accessing
msg[i].buf[0] without sanity check, null ptr deref would happen.
We add check on msg[i].len to prevent crash.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: ufs: core: Fix data race in CPU latency PM QoS request handling
The cpu_latency_qos_add/remove/update_request interfaces lack internal
synchronization by design, requiring the caller to ensure thread safety.
The current implementation relies on the 'pm_qos_enabled' flag, which is
insufficient to prevent concurrent access and cannot serve as a proper
synchronization mechanism. This has led to data races and list
corruption issues.
A typical race condition call trace is:
[Thread A]
ufshcd_pm_qos_exit()
--> cpu_latency_qos_remove_request()
--> cpu_latency_qos_apply();
--> pm_qos_update_target()
--> plist_del <--(1) delete plist node
--> memset(req, 0, sizeof(*req));
--> hba->pm_qos_enabled = false;
[Thread B]
ufshcd_devfreq_target
--> ufshcd_devfreq_scale
--> ufshcd_scale_clks
--> ufshcd_pm_qos_update <--(2) pm_qos_enabled is true
--> cpu_latency_qos_update_request
--> pm_qos_update_target
--> plist_del <--(3) plist node use-after-free
Introduces a dedicated mutex to serialize PM QoS operations, preventing
data races and ensuring safe access to PM QoS resources, including sysfs
interface reads. |

buffer in arch_kimage_file_post_load_cleanup(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
PCI: rcar-host: Pass proper IRQ domain to generic_handle_domain_irq()
Starting with commit dd26c1a23fd5 ("PCI: rcar-host: Switch to
msi_create_parent_irq_domain()"), the MSI parent IRQ domain is NULL because
the object of type struct irq_domain_info passed to:
msi_create_parent_irq_domain() ->
irq_domain_instantiate()() ->
__irq_domain_instantiate()
has no reference to the parent IRQ domain. Using msi->domain->parent as an
argument for generic_handle_domain_irq() leads to below error:
"Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address"
This error was identified while switching the upcoming RZ/G3S PCIe host
controller driver to msi_create_parent_irq_domain() (which was using a
similar pattern to handle MSIs (see link section)), but it was not tested
on hardware using the pcie-rcar-host controller driver due to lack of
hardware.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: Fix NULL pointer dereference in VRAM logic for APU devices
Previously, APU platforms (and other scenarios with uninitialized VRAM managers)
triggered a NULL pointer dereference in `ttm_resource_manager_usage()`. The root
cause is not that the `struct ttm_resource_manager *man` pointer itself is NULL,
but that `man->bdev` (the backing device pointer within the manager) remains
uninitialized (NULL) on APUs—since APUs lack dedicated VRAM and do not fully
set up VRAM manager structures. When `ttm_resource_manager_usage()` attempts to
acquire `man->bdev->lru_lock`, it dereferences the NULL `man->bdev`, leading to
a kernel OOPS.
1. **amdgpu_cs.c**: Extend the existing bandwidth control check in
`amdgpu_cs_get_threshold_for_moves()` to include a check for
`ttm_resource_manager_used()`. If the manager is not used (uninitialized
`bdev`), return 0 for migration thresholds immediately—skipping VRAM-specific
logic that would trigger the NULL dereference.
2. **amdgpu_kms.c**: Update the `AMDGPU_INFO_VRAM_USAGE` ioctl and memory info
reporting to use a conditional: if the manager is used, return the real VRAM
usage; otherwise, return 0. This avoids accessing `man->bdev` when it is
NULL.
3. **amdgpu_virt.c**: Modify the vf2pf (virtual function to physical function)
data write path. Use `ttm_resource_manager_used()` to check validity: if the
manager is usable, calculate `fb_usage` from VRAM usage; otherwise, set
`fb_usage` to 0 (APUs have no discrete framebuffer to report).
This approach is more robust than APU-specific checks because it:
- Works for all scenarios where the VRAM manager is uninitialized (not just APUs),
- Aligns with TTM's design by using its native helper function,
- Preserves correct behavior for discrete GPUs (which have fully initialized
`man->bdev` and pass the `ttm_resource_manager_used()` check).
v4: use ttm_resource_manager_used(&adev->mman.vram_mgr.manager) instead of checking the adev->gmc.is_app_apu flag (Christian) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: pcm: Fix potential data race at PCM memory allocation helpers
The PCM memory allocation helpers have a sanity check against too many
buffer allocations. However, the check is performed without a proper
lock and the allocation isn't serialized; this allows user to allocate
more memories than predefined max size.
Practically seen, this isn't really a big problem, as it's more or
less some "soft limit" as a sanity check, and it's not possible to
allocate unlimitedly. But it's still better to address this for more
consistent behavior.
The patch covers the size check in do_alloc_pages() with the
card->memory_mutex, and increases the allocated size there for
preventing the further overflow. When the actual allocation fails,
the size is decreased accordingly. |

fbdev: smscufx: Fix several use-after-free bugs
Several types of UAFs can occur when physically removing a USB device.
Adds ufx_ops_destroy() function to .fb_destroy of fb_ops, and
in this function, there is kref_put() that finally calls ufx_free().
This fix prevents multiple UAFs. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ice: set tx_tstamps when creating new Tx rings via ethtool
When the user changes the number of queues via ethtool, the driver
allocates new rings. This allocation did not initialize tx_tstamps. This
results in the tx_tstamps field being zero (due to kcalloc allocation), and
would result in a NULL pointer dereference when attempting a transmit
timestamp on the new ring. |

ext4: fix BUG in ext4_mb_new_inode_pa() due to overflow
When we calculate the end position of ext4_free_extent, this position may
be exactly where ext4_lblk_t (i.e. uint) overflows. For example, if
ac_g_ex.fe_logical is 4294965248 and ac_orig_goal_len is 2048, then the
computed end is 0x100000000, which is 0. If ac->ac_o_ex.fe_logical is not
the first case of adjusting the best extent, that is, new_bex_end > 0, the
following BUG_ON will be triggered:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
staging: most: remove broken i2c driver
The MOST I2C driver has been completely broken for five years without
anyone noticing so remove the driver from staging.
Specifically, commit 723de0f9171e ("staging: most: remove device from
interface structure") started requiring drivers to set the interface
device pointer before registration, but the I2C driver was never updated
which results in a NULL pointer dereference if anyone ever tries to
probe it. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: comp - Use same definition of context alloc and free ops
In commit 42d9f6c77479 ("crypto: acomp - Move scomp stream allocation
code into acomp"), the crypto_acomp_streams struct was made to rely on
having the alloc_ctx and free_ctx operations defined in the same order
as the scomp_alg struct. But in that same commit, the alloc_ctx and
free_ctx members of scomp_alg may be randomized by structure layout
randomization, since they are contained in a pure ops structure
(containing only function pointers). If the pointers within scomp_alg
are randomized, but those in crypto_acomp_streams are not, then
the order may no longer match. This fixes the problem by removing the
union from scomp_alg so that both crypto_acomp_streams and scomp_alg
will share the same definition of alloc_ctx and free_ctx, ensuring
they will always have the same layout. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rtc: amlogic-a4: fix double free caused by devm
The clock obtained via devm_clk_get_enabled() is automatically managed
by devres and will be disabled and freed on driver detach. Manually
calling clk_disable_unprepare() in error path and remove function
causes double free.
Remove the redundant clk_disable_unprepare() calls from the probe
error path and aml_rtc_remove(), allowing the devm framework to
automatically manage the clock lifecycle. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: rng - Ensure set_ent is always present
Ensure that set_ent is always set since only drbg provides it. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fortify: Fix __compiletime_strlen() under UBSAN_BOUNDS_LOCAL
With CONFIG_FORTIFY=y and CONFIG_UBSAN_LOCAL_BOUNDS=y enabled, we observe
a runtime panic while running Android's Compatibility Test Suite's (CTS)
android.hardware.input.cts.tests. This is stemming from a strlen()
call in hidinput_allocate().
__compiletime_strlen() is implemented in terms of __builtin_object_size(),
then does an array access to check for NUL-termination. A quirk of
__builtin_object_size() is that for strings whose values are runtime
dependent, __builtin_object_size(str, 1 or 0) returns the maximum size
of possible values when those sizes are determinable at compile time.
Example:
static const char *v = "FOO BAR";
static const char *y = "FOO BA";
unsigned long x (int z) {
// Returns 8, which is:
// max(__builtin_object_size(v, 1), __builtin_object_size(y, 1))
return __builtin_object_size(z ? v : y, 1);
}
So when FORTIFY_SOURCE is enabled, the current implementation of
__compiletime_strlen() will try to access beyond the end of y at runtime
using the size of v. Mixed with UBSAN_LOCAL_BOUNDS we get a fault.
hidinput_allocate() has a local C string whose value is control flow
dependent on a switch statement, so __builtin_object_size(str, 1)
evaluates to the maximum string length, making all other cases fault on
the last character check. hidinput_allocate() could be cleaned up to
avoid runtime calls to strlen() since the local variable can only have
literal values, so there's no benefit to trying to fortify the strlen
call site there.
Perform a __builtin_constant_p() check against index 0 earlier in the
macro to filter out the control-flow-dependant case. Add a KUnit test
for checking the expected behavioral characteristics of FORTIFY_SOURCE
internals. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
exfat: fix improper check of dentry.stream.valid_size
We found an infinite loop bug in the exFAT file system that can lead to a
Denial-of-Service (DoS) condition. When a dentry in an exFAT filesystem is
malformed, the following system calls — SYS_openat, SYS_ftruncate, and
SYS_pwrite64 — can cause the kernel to hang.
Root cause analysis shows that the size validation code in exfat_find()
does not check whether dentry.stream.valid_size is negative. As a result,
the system calls mentioned above can succeed and eventually trigger the DoS
issue.
This patch adds a check for negative dentry.stream.valid_size to prevent
this vulnerability. |
