CVE-2020-1706 1 Redhat 2 Openshift, Openshift Container Platform 2024-11-21 7 High
It has been found that in openshift-enterprise version 3.11 and openshift-enterprise versions 4.1 up to, including 4.3, multiple containers modify the permissions of /etc/passwd to make them modifiable by users other than root. An attacker with access to the running container can exploit this to modify /etc/passwd to add a user and escalate their privileges. This CVE is specific to the openshift/apb-tools-container.
CVE-2020-1705 1 Redhat 2 Openshift, Template Service Broker Operator 2024-11-21 7 High
A vulnerability was found in openshift/template-service-broker-operator in all 4.x.x versions prior to 4.3.0, where an insecure modification vulnerability in the /etc/passwd file was found in the openshift/template-service-broker-operator. An attacker with access to the container could use this flaw to modify /etc/passwd and escalate their privileges.
CVE-2020-1704 1 Redhat 2 Openshift Service Mesh, Service Mesh 2024-11-21 7 High
An insecure modification vulnerability in the /etc/passwd file was found in all versions of OpenShift ServiceMesh (maistra) before 1.0.8 in the openshift/istio-kialia-rhel7-operator-container. An attacker with access to the container could use this flaw to modify /etc/passwd and escalate their privileges.
CVE-2020-1702 2 Containers-image Project, Redhat 4 Containers-image, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 1 more 2024-11-21 3.3 Low
A malicious container image can consume an unbounded amount of memory when being pulled to a container runtime host, such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux using podman, or OpenShift Container Platform. An attacker can use this flaw to trick a user, with privileges to pull container images, into crashing the process responsible for pulling the image. This flaw affects containers-image versions before 5.2.0.
CVE-2020-1700 4 Canonical, Ceph, Opensuse and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Ceph, Leap and 1 more 2024-11-21 6.5 Medium
A flaw was found in the way the Ceph RGW Beast front-end handles unexpected disconnects. An authenticated attacker can abuse this flaw by making multiple disconnect attempts resulting in a permanent leak of a socket connection by radosgw. This flaw could lead to a denial of service condition by pile up of CLOSE_WAIT sockets, eventually leading to the exhaustion of available resources, preventing legitimate users from connecting to the system.
CVE-2020-1698 1 Redhat 3 Keycloak, Openshift Application Runtimes, Red Hat Single Sign On 2024-11-21 5 Medium
A flaw was found in keycloak in versions before 9.0.0. A logged exception in the HttpMethod class may leak the password given as parameter. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality.
CVE-2020-1697 1 Redhat 4 Jboss Single Sign On, Keycloak, Openshift Application Runtimes and 1 more 2024-11-21 6.1 Medium
It was found in all keycloak versions before 9.0.0 that links to external applications (Application Links) in the admin console are not validated properly and could allow Stored XSS attacks. An authed malicious user could create URLs to trick users in other realms, and possibly conduct further attacks.
CVE-2020-1695 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat 9 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Data Grid and 6 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
A flaw was found in all resteasy 3.x.x versions prior to 3.12.0.Final and all resteasy 4.x.x versions prior to 4.6.0.Final, where an improper input validation results in returning an illegal header that integrates into the server's response. This flaw may result in an injection, which leads to unexpected behavior when the HTTP response is constructed.
CVE-2020-16845 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Golang and 2 more 13 Debian Linux, Fedora, Go and 10 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High

CVE-2020-15707 8 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 5 more 19 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Grub2 and 16 more 2024-11-21 5.7 Medium
Integer overflows were discovered in the functions grub_cmd_initrd and grub_initrd_init in the efilinux component of GRUB2, as shipped in Debian, Red Hat, and Ubuntu (the functionality is not included in GRUB2 upstream), leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. These could be triggered by an extremely large number of arguments to the initrd command on 32-bit architectures, or a crafted filesystem with very large files on any architecture. An attacker could use this to execute arbitrary code and bypass UEFI Secure Boot restrictions. This issue affects GRUB2 version 2.04 and prior versions.
CVE-2020-15706 7 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 4 more 18 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Grub2 and 15 more 2024-11-21 6.4 Medium
GRUB2 contains a race condition in grub_script_function_create() leading to a use-after-free vulnerability which can be triggered by redefining a function whilst the same function is already executing, leading to arbitrary code execution and secure boot restriction bypass. This issue affects GRUB2 version 2.04 and prior versions.
CVE-2020-15705 7 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 4 more 18 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Grub2 and 15 more 2024-11-21 6.4 Medium
GRUB2 fails to validate kernel signature when booted directly without shim, allowing secure boot to be bypassed. This only affects systems where the kernel signing certificate has been imported directly into the secure boot database and the GRUB image is booted directly without the use of shim. This issue affects GRUB2 version 2.04 and prior versions.
CVE-2020-15586 6 Cloudfoundry, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 15 Cf-deployment, Routing-release, Debian Linux and 12 more 2024-11-21 5.9 Medium
Go before 1.13.13 and 1.14.x before 1.14.5 has a data race in some net/http servers, as demonstrated by the httputil.ReverseProxy Handler, because it reads a request body and writes a response at the same time.
CVE-2020-15366 2 Ajv.js, Redhat 6 Ajv, Ansible Automation Platform, Enterprise Linux and 3 more 2024-11-21 5.6 Medium
An issue was discovered in ajv.validate() in Ajv (aka Another JSON Schema Validator) 6.12.2. A carefully crafted JSON schema could be provided that allows execution of other code by prototype pollution. (While untrusted schemas are recommended against, the worst case of an untrusted schema should be a denial of service, not execution of code.)
CVE-2020-15157 4 Canonical, Debian, Linuxfoundation and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Containerd and 1 more 2024-11-21 6.1 Medium
In containerd (an industry-standard container runtime) before version 1.2.14 there is a credential leaking vulnerability. If a container image manifest in the OCI Image format or Docker Image V2 Schema 2 format includes a URL for the location of a specific image layer (otherwise known as a “foreign layer”), the default containerd resolver will follow that URL to attempt to download it. In v1.2.x but not 1.3.0 or later, the default containerd resolver will provide its authentication credentials if the server where the URL is located presents an HTTP 401 status code along with registry-specific HTTP headers. If an attacker publishes a public image with a manifest that directs one of the layers to be fetched from a web server they control and they trick a user or system into pulling the image, they can obtain the credentials used for pulling that image. In some cases, this may be the user's username and password for the registry. In other cases, this may be the credentials attached to the cloud virtual instance which can grant access to other cloud resources in the account. The default containerd resolver is used by the cri-containerd plugin (which can be used by Kubernetes), the ctr development tool, and other client programs that have explicitly linked against it. This vulnerability has been fixed in containerd 1.2.14. containerd 1.3 and later are not affected. If you are using containerd 1.3 or later, you are not affected. If you are using cri-containerd in the 1.2 series or prior, you should ensure you only pull images from trusted sources. Other container runtimes built on top of containerd but not using the default resolver (such as Docker) are not affected.
CVE-2020-15136 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat 4 Fedora, Etcd, Openshift and 1 more 2024-11-21 6.5 Medium
In ectd before versions 3.4.10 and 3.3.23, gateway TLS authentication is only applied to endpoints detected in DNS SRV records. When starting a gateway, TLS authentication will only be attempted on endpoints identified in DNS SRV records for a given domain, which occurs in the discoverEndpoints function. No authentication is performed against endpoints provided in the --endpoints flag. This has been fixed in versions 3.4.10 and 3.3.23 with improved documentation and deprecation of the functionality.
CVE-2020-15114 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat 4 Fedora, Etcd, Openshift and 1 more 2024-11-21 7.7 High
In etcd before versions 3.3.23 and 3.4.10, the etcd gateway is a simple TCP proxy to allow for basic service discovery and access. However, it is possible to include the gateway address as an endpoint. This results in a denial of service, since the endpoint can become stuck in a loop of requesting itself until there are no more available file descriptors to accept connections on the gateway.
CVE-2020-15113 3 Etcd, Fedoraproject, Redhat 4 Etcd, Fedora, Openshift and 1 more 2024-11-21 5.7 Medium
In etcd before versions 3.3.23 and 3.4.10, certain directory paths are created (etcd data directory and the directory path when provided to automatically generate self-signed certificates for TLS connections with clients) with restricted access permissions (700) by using the os.MkdirAll. This function does not perform any permission checks when a given directory path exists already. A possible workaround is to ensure the directories have the desired permission (700).
