CVE-2021-4024 3 Fedoraproject, Podman Project, Redhat 3 Fedora, Podman, Enterprise Linux 2024-08-03 6.5 Medium
A flaw was found in podman. The `podman machine` function (used to create and manage Podman virtual machine containing a Podman process) spawns a `gvproxy` process on the host system. The `gvproxy` API is accessible on port 7777 on all IP addresses on the host. If that port is open on the host's firewall, an attacker can potentially use the `gvproxy` API to forward ports on the host to ports in the VM, making private services on the VM accessible to the network. This issue could be also used to interrupt the host's services by forwarding all ports to the VM.
CVE-2021-4009 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2024-08-03 7.8 High
A flaw was found in xorg-x11-server in versions before 21.1.2 and before 1.20.14. An out-of-bounds access can occur in the SProcXFixesCreatePointerBarrier function. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2021-4041 1 Redhat 2 Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Runner 2024-08-03 7.8 High
A flaw was found in ansible-runner. An improper escaping of the shell command, while calling the ansible_runner.interface.run_command, can lead to parameters getting executed as host's shell command. A developer could unintentionally write code that gets executed in the host rather than the virtual environment.
CVE-2021-3999 4 Debian, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more 16 Debian Linux, Glibc, E-series Performance Analyzer and 13 more 2024-08-03 7.8 High
A flaw was found in glibc. An off-by-one buffer overflow and underflow in getcwd() may lead to memory corruption when the size of the buffer is exactly 1. A local attacker who can control the input buffer and size passed to getcwd() in a setuid program could use this flaw to potentially execute arbitrary code and escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2021-4047 1 Redhat 1 Openshift 2024-08-03 7.5 High
The release of OpenShift 4.9.6 included four CVE fixes for the haproxy package, however the patch for CVE-2021-39242 was missing. This issue only affects Red Hat OpenShift 4.9.
CVE-2021-4002 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more 7 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 4 more 2024-08-03 4.4 Medium
A memory leak flaw in the Linux kernel's hugetlbfs memory usage was found in the way the user maps some regions of memory twice using shmget() which are aligned to PUD alignment with the fault of some of the memory pages. A local user could use this flaw to get unauthorized access to some data.
CVE-2021-4010 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2024-08-03 7.8 High
A flaw was found in xorg-x11-server in versions before 21.1.2 and before 1.20.14. An out-of-bounds access can occur in the SProcScreenSaverSuspend function. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2021-4037 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2024-08-03 7.8 High
A vulnerability was found in the fs/inode.c:inode_init_owner() function logic of the LInux kernel that allows local users to create files for the XFS file-system with an unintended group ownership and with group execution and SGID permission bits set, in a scenario where a directory is SGID and belongs to a certain group and is writable by a user who is not a member of this group. This can lead to excessive permissions granted in case when they should not. This vulnerability is similar to the previous CVE-2018-13405 and adds the missed fix for the XFS.
CVE-2021-3997 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Systemd Project 3 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Systemd 2024-08-03 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in systemd. An uncontrolled recursion in systemd-tmpfiles may lead to a denial of service at boot time when too many nested directories are created in /tmp.
CVE-2021-3979 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat 8 Fedora, Ceph Storage, Ceph Storage For Ibm Z Systems and 5 more 2024-08-03 6.5 Medium
A key length flaw was found in Red Hat Ceph Storage. An attacker can exploit the fact that the key length is incorrectly passed in an encryption algorithm to create a non random key, which is weaker and can be exploited for loss of confidentiality and integrity on encrypted disks.
CVE-2021-3981 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Redhat 3 Fedora, Grub2, Enterprise Linux 2024-08-03 3.3 Low
A flaw in grub2 was found where its configuration file, known as grub.cfg, is being created with the wrong permission set allowing non privileged users to read its content. This represents a low severity confidentiality issue, as those users can eventually read any encrypted passwords present in grub.cfg. This flaw affects grub2 2.06 and previous versions. This issue has been fixed in grub upstream but no version with the fix is currently released.
CVE-2021-3975 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 15 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 12 more 2024-08-03 6.5 Medium
A use-after-free flaw was found in libvirt. The qemuMonitorUnregister() function in qemuProcessHandleMonitorEOF is called using multiple threads without being adequately protected by a monitor lock. This flaw could be triggered by the virConnectGetAllDomainStats API when the guest is shutting down. An unprivileged client with a read-only connection could use this flaw to perform a denial of service attack by causing the libvirt daemon to crash.
CVE-2021-3930 3 Debian, Qemu, Redhat 11 Debian Linux, Qemu, Advanced Virtualization and 8 more 2024-08-03 6.5 Medium
An off-by-one error was found in the SCSI device emulation in QEMU. It could occur while processing MODE SELECT commands in mode_sense_page() if the 'page' argument was set to MODE_PAGE_ALLS (0x3f). A malicious guest could use this flaw to potentially crash QEMU, resulting in a denial of service condition.
CVE-2021-3948 2 Konveyor, Redhat 4 Mig-controller, Enterprise Linux, Migration Toolkit and 1 more 2024-08-03 6.3 Medium
An incorrect default permissions vulnerability was found in the mig-controller. Due to an incorrect cluster namespaces handling an attacker may be able to migrate a malicious workload to the target cluster, impacting confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the services located on that cluster.
CVE-2021-3935 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Pgbouncer and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Pgbouncer and 1 more 2024-08-03 8.1 High
When PgBouncer is configured to use "cert" authentication, a man-in-the-middle attacker can inject arbitrary SQL queries when a connection is first established, despite the use of TLS certificate verification and encryption. This flaw affects PgBouncer versions prior to 1.16.1.
CVE-2021-3984 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2024-08-03 7.8 High
