CVE-2025-39734 2025-09-07 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "fs/ntfs3: Replace inode_trylock with inode_lock" This reverts commit 69505fe98f198ee813898cbcaf6770949636430b. Initially, conditional lock acquisition was removed to fix an xfstest bug that was observed during internal testing. The deadlock reported by syzbot is resolved by reintroducing conditional acquisition. The xfstest bug no longer occurs on kernel version 6.16-rc1 during internal testing. I assume that changes in other modules may have contributed to this.

CVE-2025-39732 2025-09-07 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: fix sleeping-in-atomic in ath11k_mac_op_set_bitrate_mask() ath11k_mac_disable_peer_fixed_rate() is passed as the iterator to ieee80211_iterate_stations_atomic(). Note in this case the iterator is required to be atomic, however ath11k_mac_disable_peer_fixed_rate() does not follow it as it might sleep. Consequently below warning is seen: BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at wmi.c:304 Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl __might_resched.cold ath11k_wmi_cmd_send ath11k_wmi_set_peer_param ath11k_mac_disable_peer_fixed_rate ieee80211_iterate_stations_atomic ath11k_mac_op_set_bitrate_mask.cold Change to ieee80211_iterate_stations_mtx() to fix this issue. Tested-on: WCN6855 hw2.0 PCI WLAN.HSP.1.1-03125-QCAHSPSWPL_V1_V2_SILICONZ_LITE-3.6510.30

CVE-2025-39727 2025-09-07 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: swap: fix potential buffer overflow in setup_clusters() In setup_swap_map(), we only ensure badpages are in range (0, last_page]. As maxpages might be < last_page, setup_clusters() will encounter a buffer overflow when a badpage is >= maxpages. Only call inc_cluster_info_page() for badpage which is < maxpages to fix the issue.

CVE-2025-10061 1 Mongodb 1 Mongodb 2025-09-07 6.5 Medium
An authorized user can cause a crash in the MongoDB Server through a specially crafted $group query. This vulnerability is related to the incorrect handling of certain accumulator functions when additional parameters are specified within the $group operation. This vulnerability could lead to denial of service if triggered repeatedly. This issue affects MongoDB Server v6.0 versions prior to 6.0.25, MongoDB Server v7.0 versions prior to 7.0.22, MongoDB Server v8.0 versions prior to 8.0.12 and MongoDB Server v8.1 versions prior to 8.1.2
CVE-2025-39706 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-09-07 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: Destroy KFD debugfs after destroy KFD wq Since KFD proc content was moved to kernel debugfs, we can't destroy KFD debugfs before kfd_process_destroy_wq. Move kfd_process_destroy_wq prior to kfd_debugfs_fini to fix a kernel NULL pointer problem. It happens when /sys/kernel/debug/kfd was already destroyed in kfd_debugfs_fini but kfd_process_destroy_wq calls kfd_debugfs_remove_process. This line debugfs_remove_recursive(entry->proc_dentry); tries to remove /sys/kernel/debug/kfd/proc/<pid> while /sys/kernel/debug/kfd is already gone. It hangs the kernel by kernel NULL pointer. CVE-2025-39721 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-09-07 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - flush misc workqueue during device shutdown Repeated loading and unloading of a device specific QAT driver, for example qat_4xxx, in a tight loop can lead to a crash due to a use-after-free scenario. This occurs when a power management (PM) interrupt triggers just before the device-specific driver (e.g., qat_4xxx.ko) is unloaded, while the core driver (intel_qat.ko) remains loaded. Since the driver uses a shared workqueue (`qat_misc_wq`) across all devices and owned by intel_qat.ko, a deferred routine from the device-specific driver may still be pending in the queue. If this routine executes after the driver is unloaded, it can dereference freed memory, resulting in a page fault and kernel crash like the following: BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffa000002e50a01c #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode RIP: 0010:pm_bh_handler+0x1d2/0x250 [intel_qat] Call Trace: pm_bh_handler+0x1d2/0x250 [intel_qat] process_one_work+0x171/0x340 worker_thread+0x277/0x3a0 kthread+0xf0/0x120 ret_from_fork+0x2d/0x50 To prevent this, flush the misc workqueue during device shutdown to ensure that all pending work items are completed before the driver is unloaded. Note: This approach may slightly increase shutdown latency if the workqueue contains jobs from other devices, but it ensures correctness and stability.
CVE-2025-39690 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-09-07 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: accel: sca3300: fix uninitialized iio scan data Fix potential leak of uninitialized stack data to userspace by ensuring that the `channels` array is zeroed before use.
CVE-2025-38737 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-09-07 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: Fix oops due to uninitialised variable Fix smb3_init_transform_rq() to initialise buffer to NULL before calling netfs_alloc_folioq_buffer() as netfs assumes it can append to the buffer it is given. Setting it to NULL means it should start a fresh buffer, but the value is currently undefined.
CVE-2025-10059 1 Mongodb 1 Mongodb 2025-09-07 6.5 Medium
An improper setting of the lsid field on any sharded query can cause a crash in MongoDB routers. This issue occurs when a generic argument (lsid) is provided in a case when it is not applicable. This affects MongoDB Server v6.0 versions prior to 6.0.x, MongoDB Server v7.0 versions prior to 7.0.18 and MongoDB Server v8.0 versions prior to 8.0.6.
