CVE-2023-5633 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 23 Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 20 more | 2024-10-09 | 7.8 High |
The reference count changes made as part of the CVE-2023-33951 and CVE-2023-33952 fixes exposed a use-after-free flaw in the way memory objects were handled when they were being used to store a surface. When running inside a VMware guest with 3D acceleration enabled, a local, unprivileged user could potentially use this flaw to escalate their privileges.
CVE-2023-4911 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 19 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 16 more | 2024-09-17 | 7.8 High |
A buffer overflow was discovered in the GNU C Library's dynamic loader ld.so while processing the GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variable. This issue could allow a local attacker to use maliciously crafted GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variables when launching binaries with SUID permission to execute code with elevated privileges.
CVE-2019-11043 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 26 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 23 more | 2024-09-16 | 8.7 High |
In PHP versions 7.1.x below 7.1.33, 7.2.x below 7.2.24 and 7.3.x below 7.3.11 in certain configurations of FPM setup it is possible to cause FPM module to write past allocated buffers into the space reserved for FCGI protocol data, thus opening the possibility of remote code execution.
CVE-2023-5455 | 3 Fedoraproject, Freeipa, Redhat | 25 Fedora, Freeipa, Codeready Linux Builder and 22 more | 2024-09-16 | 6.5 Medium |
A Cross-site request forgery vulnerability exists in ipa/session/login_password in all supported versions of IPA. This flaw allows an attacker to trick the user into submitting a request that could perform actions as the user, resulting in a loss of confidentiality and system integrity. During community penetration testing it was found that for certain HTTP end-points FreeIPA does not ensure CSRF protection. Due to implementation details one cannot use this flaw for reflection of a cookie representing already logged-in user. An attacker would always have to go through a new authentication attempt.
CVE-2023-4806 | 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Redhat | 24 Fedora, Glibc, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 21 more | 2024-09-16 | 5.9 Medium |
A flaw was found in glibc. In an extremely rare situation, the getaddrinfo function may access memory that has been freed, resulting in an application crash. This issue is only exploitable when a NSS module implements only the _nss_*_gethostbyname2_r and _nss_*_getcanonname_r hooks without implementing the _nss_*_gethostbyname3_r hook. The resolved name should return a large number of IPv6 and IPv4, and the call to the getaddrinfo function should have the AF_INET6 address family with AI_CANONNAME, AI_ALL and AI_V4MAPPED as flags.
CVE-2023-4527 | 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 32 Fedora, Glibc, H300s and 29 more | 2024-09-16 | 6.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in glibc. When the getaddrinfo function is called with the AF_UNSPEC address family and the system is configured with no-aaaa mode via /etc/resolv.conf, a DNS response via TCP larger than 2048 bytes can potentially disclose stack contents through the function returned address data, and may cause a crash.
CVE-2023-3972 | 1 Redhat | 23 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Aus, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 20 more | 2024-09-16 | 7.8 High |
A vulnerability was found in insights-client. This security issue occurs because of insecure file operations or unsafe handling of temporary files and directories that lead to local privilege escalation. Before the insights-client has been registered on the system by root, an unprivileged local user or attacker could create the /var/tmp/insights-client directory (owning the directory with read, write, and execute permissions) on the system. After the insights-client is registered by root, an attacker could then control the directory content that insights are using by putting malicious scripts into it and executing arbitrary code as root (trivially bypassing SELinux protections because insights processes are allowed to disable SELinux system-wide).
CVE-2023-3899 | 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat | 24 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 21 more | 2024-09-16 | 7.8 High |
A vulnerability was found in subscription-manager that allows local privilege escalation due to inadequate authorization. The D-Bus interface com.redhat.RHSM1 exposes a significant number of methods to all users that could change the state of the registration. By using the com.redhat.RHSM1.Config.SetAll() method, a low-privileged local user could tamper with the state of the registration, by unregistering the system or by changing the current entitlements. This flaw allows an attacker to set arbitrary configuration directives for /etc/rhsm/rhsm.conf, which can be abused to cause a local privilege escalation to an unconfined root.
CVE-2024-6387 | 9 Amazon, Canonical, Debian and 6 more | 24 Linux 2023, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 21 more | 2024-09-14 | 8.1 High |
A security regression (CVE-2006-5051) was discovered in OpenSSH's server (sshd). There is a race condition which can lead sshd to handle some signals in an unsafe manner. An unauthenticated, remote attacker may be able to trigger it by failing to authenticate within a set time period.
CVE-2023-6536 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 20 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 17 more | 2024-09-14 | 6.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's NVMe driver. This issue may allow an unauthenticated malicious actor to send a set of crafted TCP packages when using NVMe over TCP, leading the NVMe driver to a NULL pointer dereference in the NVMe driver, causing kernel panic and a denial of service.
CVE-2023-6535 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 19 Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder Eus, Codeready Linux Builder Eus For Power Little Endian Eus and 16 more | 2024-09-14 | 6.5 Medium |
CVE-2023-6356 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 20 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 17 more | 2024-09-14 | 6.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's NVMe driver. This issue may allow an unauthenticated malicious actor to send a set of crafted TCP packages when using NVMe over TCP, leading the NVMe driver to a NULL pointer dereference in the NVMe driver and causing kernel panic and a denial of service.
CVE-2023-5157 | 3 Fedoraproject, Mariadb, Redhat | 17 Fedora, Mariadb, Enterprise Linux and 14 more | 2024-09-13 | 7.5 High |
A vulnerability was found in MariaDB. An OpenVAS port scan on ports 3306 and 4567 allows a malicious remote client to cause a denial of service.
CVE-2019-0211 | 8 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 5 more | 28 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 25 more | 2024-08-04 | 7.8 High |
In Apache HTTP Server 2.4 releases 2.4.17 to 2.4.38, with MPM event, worker or prefork, code executing in less-privileged child processes or threads (including scripts executed by an in-process scripting interpreter) could execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the parent process (usually root) by manipulating the scoreboard. Non-Unix systems are not affected. |
