CVE-2018-20170 1 Openstack 1 Keystone 2024-11-14 N/A
OpenStack Keystone through 14.0.1 has a user enumeration vulnerability because invalid usernames have much faster responses than valid ones for a POST /v3/auth/tokens request. NOTE: the vendor's position is that this is a hardening opportunity, and not necessarily an issue that should have an OpenStack Security Advisory
CVE-2024-1141 2 Openstack, Redhat 2 Glance-store, Openstack 2024-11-06 5.5 Medium
A vulnerability was found in python-glance-store. The issue occurs when the package logs the access_key for the glance-store when the DEBUG log level is enabled.
CVE-2024-32498 2 Openstack, Redhat 4 Cinder, Glance, Nova and 1 more 2024-10-30 6.5 Medium
An issue was discovered in OpenStack Cinder through 24.0.0, Glance before 28.0.2, and Nova before 29.0.3. Arbitrary file access can occur via custom QCOW2 external data. By supplying a crafted QCOW2 image that references a specific data file path, an authenticated user may convince systems to return a copy of that file's contents from the server, resulting in unauthorized access to potentially sensitive data. All Cinder and Nova deployments are affected; only Glance deployments with image conversion enabled are affected.
CVE-2024-40767 2 Openstack, Redhat 2 Nova, Openstack 2024-10-30 6.5 Medium
In OpenStack Nova before 27.4.1, 28 before 28.2.1, and 29 before 29.1.1, by supplying a raw format image that is actually a crafted QCOW2 image with a backing file path or VMDK flat image with a descriptor file path, an authenticated user may convince systems to return a copy of the referenced file's contents from the server, resulting in unauthorized access to potentially sensitive data. All Nova deployments are affected. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2022-47951 and CVE-2024-32498.
CVE-2024-7319 2 Openstack, Redhat 3 Heat, Openstack, Openstack Platform 2024-10-07 5 Medium
An incomplete fix for CVE-2023-1625 was found in openstack-heat. Sensitive information may possibly be disclosed through the OpenStack stack abandon command with the hidden feature set to True and the CVE-2023-1625 fix applied.
CVE-2023-1633 2 Openstack, Redhat 3 Barbican, Openstack, Openstack Platform 2024-09-24 6.6 Medium
A credentials leak flaw was found in OpenStack Barbican. This flaw allows a local authenticated attacker to read the configuration file, gaining access to sensitive credentials.
CVE-2023-1636 2 Openstack, Redhat 3 Barbican, Openstack, Openstack Platform 2024-09-24 6 Medium
A vulnerability was found in OpenStack Barbican containers. This vulnerability is only applicable to deployments that utilize an all-in-one configuration. Barbican containers share the same CGROUP, USER, and NET namespace with the host system and other OpenStack services. If any service is compromised, it could gain access to the data transmitted to and from Barbican.
CVE-2023-1625 2 Openstack, Redhat 3 Heat, Openstack, Openstack Platform 2024-09-24 7.4 High
An information leak was discovered in OpenStack heat. This issue could allow a remote, authenticated attacker to use the 'stack show' command to reveal parameters which are supposed to remain hidden. This has a low impact to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the system.
CVE-2014-8578 2 Openstack, Redhat 2 Horizon, Openstack 2024-09-17 N/A
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Groups panel in OpenStack Dashboard (Horizon) before 2013.2.4, 2014.1 before 2014.1.2, and Juno before Juno-2 allows remote administrators to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a user email address, a different vulnerability than CVE-2014-3475.
CVE-2022-38060 2 Openstack, Redhat 2 Kolla, Openstack 2024-09-16 7.8 High
A privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the sudo functionality of OpenStack Kolla git master 05194e7618. A misconfiguration in /etc/sudoers within a container can lead to increased privileges.
CVE-2011-3147 1 Openstack 1 Nova 2024-09-16 8.6 High
Versions of nova before 2012.1 could expose hypervisor host files to a guest operating system when processing a maliciously constructed qcow filesystem.
CVE-2011-4596 1 Openstack 1 Nova 2024-08-07 N/A
Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in OpenStack Nova before 2011.3.1, when the EC2 API and the S3/RegisterImage image-registration method are enabled, allow remote authenticated users to overwrite arbitrary files via a crafted (1) tarball or (2) manifest.
CVE-2011-4076 1 Openstack 1 Nova 2024-08-06 5.9 Medium
OpenStack Nova before 2012.1 allows someone with access to an EC2_ACCESS_KEY (equivalent to a username) to obtain the EC2_SECRET_KEY (equivalent to a password). Exposing the EC2_ACCESS_KEY via http or tools that allow man-in-the-middle over https could allow an attacker to easily obtain the EC2_SECRET_KEY. An attacker could also presumably brute force values for EC2_ACCESS_KEY.
CVE-2012-5625 2 Openstack, Redhat 3 Folsom, Grizzly, Openstack 2024-08-06 N/A
OpenStack Compute (Nova) Folsom before 2012.2.2 and Grizzly, when using libvirt and LVM backed instances, does not properly clear physical volume (PV) content when reallocating for instances, which allows attackers to obtain sensitive information by reading the memory of the previous logical volume (LV).
CVE-2012-5571 2 Openstack, Redhat 3 Essex, Folsom, Openstack 2024-08-06 N/A
OpenStack Keystone Essex (2012.1) and Folsom (2012.2) does not properly handle EC2 tokens when the user role has been removed from a tenant, which allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended authorization restrictions by leveraging a token for the removed user role.
CVE-2012-5563 2 Openstack, Redhat 2 Folsom, Openstack 2024-08-06 N/A
OpenStack Keystone, as used in OpenStack Folsom 2012.2, does not properly implement token expiration, which allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended authorization restrictions by creating new tokens through token chaining. NOTE: this issue exists because of a CVE-2012-3426 regression.
CVE-2012-5476 2 Debian, Openstack 2 Debian Linux, Horizon 2024-08-06 5.5 Medium
Within the RHOS Essex Preview (2012.2) of the OpenStack dashboard package, the file /etc/quantum/quantum.conf is world readable which exposes the admin password and token value.
CVE-2012-5483 2 Openstack, Redhat 2 Keystone, Openstack 2024-08-06 N/A
tools/sample_data.sh in OpenStack Keystone 2012.1.3, when access to Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is configured, uses world-readable permissions for /etc/keystone/ec2rc, which allows local users to obtain access to EC2 services by reading administrative access and secret values from this file.
CVE-2012-5474 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Openstack and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Horizon and 1 more 2024-08-06 5.5 Medium
The file /etc/openstack-dashboard/local_settings within Red Hat OpenStack Platform 2.0 and RHOS Essex Release (python-django-horizon package before 2012.1.1) is world readable and exposes the secret key value.
