CVE-2023-43786 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, X.org | 3 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Libx11 | 2024-11-06 | 5.5 Medium |
A vulnerability was found in libX11 due to an infinite loop within the PutSubImage() function. This flaw allows a local user to consume all available system resources and cause a denial of service condition.
CVE-2023-43785 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, X.org | 3 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Libx11 | 2024-11-06 | 6.5 Medium |
A vulnerability was found in libX11 due to a boundary condition within the _XkbReadKeySyms() function. This flaw allows a local user to trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read the contents of memory on the system.
CVE-2024-0229 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, X.org | 12 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Aus and 9 more | 2024-10-29 | 7.8 High |
An out-of-bounds memory access flaw was found in the X.Org server. This issue can be triggered when a device frozen by a sync grab is reattached to a different master device. This issue may lead to an application crash, local privilege escalation (if the server runs with extended privileges), or remote code execution in SSH X11 forwarding environments.
CVE-2017-12181 | 2 Debian, X.org | 2 Debian Linux, Xorg-server | 2024-09-17 | N/A |
xorg-x11-server before 1.19.5 was missing length validation in XFree86 DGA extension allowing malicious X client to cause X server to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code.
CVE-2011-4029 | 2 Redhat, X.org | 2 Enterprise Linux, X Server | 2024-09-17 | N/A |
The LockServer function in os/utils.c in X.Org xserver before 1.11.2 allows local users to change the permissions of arbitrary files to 444, read those files, and possibly cause a denial of service (removed execution permission) via a symlink attack on a temporary lock file.
CVE-2009-3100 | 2 Sun, X.org | 3 Opensolaris, Solaris, X11 | 2024-09-17 | N/A |
xscreensaver (aka Gnome-XScreenSaver) in Sun Solaris 9 and 10, OpenSolaris snv_109 through snv_122, and X11 6.4.1 on Solaris 8 does not properly handle Accessibility support, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (system hang) by locking the screen and then attempting to launch an Accessibility pop-up window, related to a regression in certain Solaris and OpenSolaris patches.
CVE-2017-12184 | 2 Debian, X.org | 2 Debian Linux, Xorg-server | 2024-09-17 | N/A |
xorg-x11-server before 1.19.5 was missing length validation in XINERAMA extension allowing malicious X client to cause X server to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code.
CVE-2017-12179 | 2 Debian, X.org | 2 Debian Linux, Xorg-server | 2024-09-17 | N/A |
xorg-x11-server before 1.19.5 was vulnerable to integer overflow in (S)ProcXIBarrierReleasePointer functions allowing malicious X client to cause X server to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code.
CVE-2017-12177 | 2 Debian, X.org | 2 Debian Linux, Xorg-server | 2024-09-17 | N/A |
xorg-x11-server before 1.19.5 was vulnerable to integer overflow in ProcDbeGetVisualInfo function allowing malicious X client to cause X server to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code.
CVE-2017-12186 | 2 Debian, X.org | 2 Debian Linux, Xorg-server | 2024-09-17 | N/A |

CVE-2023-5574 | 2 Redhat, X.org | 2 Enterprise Linux, X Server | 2024-09-16 | 7 High |
A use-after-free flaw was found in xorg-x11-server-Xvfb. This issue occurs in Xvfb with a very specific and legacy configuration (a multi-screen setup with multiple protocol screens, also known as Zaphod mode). If the pointer is warped from a screen 1 to a screen 0, a use-after-free issue may be triggered during shutdown or reset of the Xvfb server, allowing for possible escalation of privileges or denial of service. |
