CVE-2021-42694 | 1 Unicode | 1 Unicode | 2024-10-29 | 8.3 High |
An issue was discovered in the character definitions of the Unicode Specification through 14.0. The specification allows an adversary to produce source code identifiers such as function names using homoglyphs that render visually identical to a target identifier. Adversaries can leverage this to inject code via adversarial identifier definitions in upstream software dependencies invoked deceptively in downstream software. NOTE: the Unicode Consortium offers the following alternative approach to presenting this concern. An issue is noted in the nature of international text that can affect applications that implement support for The Unicode Standard (all versions). Unless mitigated, an adversary could produce source code identifiers using homoglyph characters that render visually identical to but are distinct from a target identifier. In this way, an adversary could inject adversarial identifier definitions in upstream software that are not detected by human reviewers and are invoked deceptively in downstream software. The Unicode Consortium has documented this class of security vulnerability in its document, Unicode Technical Report #36, Unicode Security Considerations. The Unicode Consortium also provides guidance on mitigations for this class of issues in Unicode Technical Standard #39, Unicode Security Mechanisms.
CVE-2019-9853 | 2 Libreoffice, Redhat | 2 Libreoffice, Enterprise Linux | 2024-09-16 | 7.8 High |
LibreOffice documents can contain macros. The execution of those macros is controlled by the document security settings, typically execution of macros are blocked by default. A URL decoding flaw existed in how the urls to the macros within the document were processed and categorized, resulting in the possibility to construct a document where macro execution bypassed the security settings. The documents were correctly detected as containing macros, and prompted the user to their existence within the documents, but macros within the document were subsequently not controlled by the security settings allowing arbitrary macro execution This issue affects: LibreOffice 6.2 series versions prior to 6.2.7; LibreOffice 6.3 series versions prior to 6.3.1.
CVE-2022-27780 | 3 Haxx, Netapp, Splunk | 15 Curl, Clustered Data Ontap, H300s and 12 more | 2024-08-07 | 7.5 High |
The curl URL parser wrongly accepts percent-encoded URL separators like '/'when decoding the host name part of a URL, making it a *different* URL usingthe wrong host name when it is later retrieved. For example, a URL like `http://example.com%2F127.0.0.1/`, would be allowed bythe parser and get transposed into `http://example.com/127.0.0.1/`. This flawcan be used to circumvent filters, checks and more.
CVE-2018-9862 | 1 Hyper | 1 Runv | 2024-08-05 | N/A |
util.c in runV 1.0.0 for Docker mishandles a numeric username, which allows attackers to obtain root access by leveraging the presence of an initial numeric value on an /etc/passwd line, and then issuing a "docker exec" command with that value in the -u argument, a similar issue to CVE-2016-3697.
CVE-2019-18981 | 1 Pimcore | 1 Pimcore | 2024-08-05 | 9.8 Critical |
Pimcore before 6.2.2 lacks an Access Denied outcome for a certain scenario of an incorrect recipient ID of a notification.
CVE-2019-6110 | 4 Netapp, Openbsd, Siemens and 1 more | 9 Element Software, Ontap Select Deploy, Storage Automation Store and 6 more | 2024-08-04 | 6.8 Medium |
In OpenSSH 7.9, due to accepting and displaying arbitrary stderr output from the server, a malicious server (or Man-in-The-Middle attacker) can manipulate the client output, for example to use ANSI control codes to hide additional files being transferred.
CVE-2020-29135 | 1 Cpanel | 1 Cpanel | 2024-08-04 | 4.1 Medium |
cPanel before 90.0.17 has multiple instances of URL parameter injection (SEC-567).
CVE-2020-10996 | 1 Percona | 1 Xtradb Cluster | 2024-08-04 | 8.1 High |
An issue was discovered in Percona XtraDB Cluster before 5.7.28-31.41.2. A bundled script inadvertently sets a static transition_key for SST processes in place of the random key expected.
CVE-2020-7292 | 1 Mcafee | 1 Web Gateway | 2024-08-04 | 4.3 Medium |
Inappropriate Encoding for output context vulnerability in McAfee Web Gateway (MWG) prior to 9.2.1 allows a remote attacker to cause MWG to return an ambiguous redirect response via getting a user to click on a malicious URL.
CVE-2021-42574 | 4 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Starwindsoftware and 1 more | 10 Fedora, Devtools, Enterprise Linux and 7 more | 2024-08-04 | 8.3 High |
An issue was discovered in the Bidirectional Algorithm in the Unicode Specification through 14.0. It permits the visual reordering of characters via control sequences, which can be used to craft source code that renders different logic than the logical ordering of tokens ingested by compilers and interpreters. Adversaries can leverage this to encode source code for compilers accepting Unicode such that targeted vulnerabilities are introduced invisibly to human reviewers. NOTE: the Unicode Consortium offers the following alternative approach to presenting this concern. An issue is noted in the nature of international text that can affect applications that implement support for The Unicode Standard and the Unicode Bidirectional Algorithm (all versions). Due to text display behavior when text includes left-to-right and right-to-left characters, the visual order of tokens may be different from their logical order. Additionally, control characters needed to fully support the requirements of bidirectional text can further obfuscate the logical order of tokens. Unless mitigated, an adversary could craft source code such that the ordering of tokens perceived by human reviewers does not match what will be processed by a compiler/interpreter/etc. The Unicode Consortium has documented this class of vulnerability in its document, Unicode Technical Report #36, Unicode Security Considerations. The Unicode Consortium also provides guidance on mitigations for this class of issues in Unicode Technical Standard #39, Unicode Security Mechanisms, and in Unicode Standard Annex #31, Unicode Identifier and Pattern Syntax. Also, the BIDI specification allows applications to tailor the implementation in ways that can mitigate misleading visual reordering in program text; see HL4 in Unicode Standard Annex #9, Unicode Bidirectional Algorithm.
CVE-2021-38505 | 2 Microsoft, Mozilla | 4 Windows 10, Firefox, Firefox Esr and 1 more | 2024-08-04 | 6.5 Medium |
Microsoft introduced a new feature in Windows 10 known as Cloud Clipboard which, if enabled, will record data copied to the clipboard to the cloud, and make it available on other computers in certain scenarios. Applications that wish to prevent copied data from being recorded in Cloud History must use specific clipboard formats; and Firefox before versions 94 and ESR 91.3 did not implement them. This could have caused sensitive data to be recorded to a user's Microsoft account. *This bug only affects Firefox for Windows 10+ with Cloud Clipboard enabled. Other operating systems are unaffected.*. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 94, Thunderbird < 91.3, and Firefox ESR < 91.3.
CVE-2022-43408 | 2 Jenkins, Redhat | 3 Pipeline\, Ocp Tools, Openshift | 2024-08-03 | 6.5 Medium |
Jenkins Pipeline: Stage View Plugin 2.26 and earlier does not correctly encode the ID of 'input' steps when using it to generate URLs to proceed or abort Pipeline builds, allowing attackers able to configure Pipelines to specify 'input' step IDs resulting in URLs that would bypass the CSRF protection of any target URL in Jenkins.
CVE-2022-43407 | 2 Jenkins, Redhat | 3 Pipeline\, Ocp Tools, Openshift | 2024-08-03 | 8.8 High |
Jenkins Pipeline: Input Step Plugin 451.vf1a_a_4f405289 and earlier does not restrict or sanitize the optionally specified ID of the 'input' step, which is used for the URLs that process user interactions for the given 'input' step (proceed or abort) and is not correctly encoded, allowing attackers able to configure Pipelines to have Jenkins build URLs from 'input' step IDs that would bypass the CSRF protection of any target URL in Jenkins when the 'input' step is interacted with.
CVE-2022-25235 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Libexpat Project and 3 more | 12 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libexpat and 9 more | 2024-08-03 | 9.8 Critical |
