Impact
The vulnerability in Frappe CRM allows an authenticated Sales user to modify any user's call logs by sending arbitrary call_sid values to the add_note_to_call_log and add_task_to_call_log endpoints. As a result, attackers can inject malicious notes and tasks that appear on victims' call logs, leads, and deals, compromising data integrity and potentially misleading downstream processes.
Affected Systems
Frappe CRM versions prior to 1.74.0 are impacted. The issue applies to the crm integration API exposed by the application.
Risk and Exploitability
The CVSS base score of 5.3 reflects a moderate severity. EPSS information is not available and the vulnerability is not listed in the CISA KEV catalog. Attackers require only authenticated access and can exploit the exposed endpoints through standard HTTP requests. The missing authorization check is identified with CWE-862, meaning authenticated users can perform actions beyond their scope.
