Impact
Bluff Post plugin versions up to 1.1.1 fail to sanitise the table_name and column_name parameters used as identifiers in a SQL query, which allows attackers to append arbitrary SQL statements and read restricted database content. This vulnerability can result in disclosure of confidential data and may serve as a foothold for further compromise.
Affected Systems
Any WordPress installation using Bluff Post plugin version 1.1.1 or earlier is affected. The vulnerability exists in the plugin’s handling of the table_name and column_name request parameters.
Risk and Exploitability
The exploit does not require authentication and can be performed over the network via standard HTTP requests. Although the EPSS score is less than 1% and the vulnerability is not listed in the CISA KEV catalog, the lack of input validation combined with the nature of SQL injection makes it a moderate‑risk issue. An attacker can send crafted queries to the plugin's endpoints to access or exfiltrate data.
