CVE-2021-47385 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 6 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 3 more | 2024-12-23 | 5.5 Medium |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (w83792d) Fix NULL pointer dereference by removing unnecessary structure field If driver read val value sufficient for (val & 0x08) && (!(val & 0x80)) && ((val & 0x7) == ((val >> 4) & 0x7)) from device then Null pointer dereference occurs. (It is possible if tmp = 0b0xyz1xyz, where same literals mean same numbers) Also lm75[] does not serve a purpose anymore after switching to devm_i2c_new_dummy_device() in w83791d_detect_subclients(). The patch fixes possible NULL pointer dereference by removing lm75[]. Found by Linux Driver Verification project (linuxtesting.org). [groeck: Dropped unnecessary continuation lines, fixed multipline alignment]
CVE-2024-26993 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 6 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 3 more | 2024-12-23 | 5.5 Medium |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: sysfs: Fix reference leak in sysfs_break_active_protection() The sysfs_break_active_protection() routine has an obvious reference leak in its error path. If the call to kernfs_find_and_get() fails then kn will be NULL, so the companion sysfs_unbreak_active_protection() routine won't get called (and would only cause an access violation by trying to dereference kn->parent if it was called). As a result, the reference to kobj acquired at the start of the function will never be released. Fix the leak by adding an explicit kobject_put() call when kn is NULL.
CVE-2024-26961 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 6 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 3 more | 2024-12-23 | 7.8 High |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mac802154: fix llsec key resources release in mac802154_llsec_key_del mac802154_llsec_key_del() can free resources of a key directly without following the RCU rules for waiting before the end of a grace period. This may lead to use-after-free in case llsec_lookup_key() is traversing the list of keys in parallel with a key deletion: refcount_t: addition on 0; use-after-free. Note that if llsec_lookup_key() finds a key, it gets a refcount via llsec_key_get() and locally copies key id from key_entry (which is a list element). So it's safe to call llsec_key_put() and free the list entry after the RCU grace period elapses. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org).
CVE-2024-1394 | 1 Redhat | 23 Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Automation Platform Developer, Ansible Automation Platform Inside and 20 more | 2024-12-23 | 7.5 High |
A memory leak flaw was found in Golang in the RSA encrypting/decrypting code, which might lead to a resource exhaustion vulnerability using attacker-controlled inputs. The memory leak happens in github.com/golang-fips/openssl/openssl/rsa.go#L113. The objects leaked are pkey and ctx. That function uses named return parameters to free pkey and ctx if there is an error initializing the context or setting the different properties. All return statements related to error cases follow the "return nil, nil, fail(...)" pattern, meaning that pkey and ctx will be nil inside the deferred function that should free them.
CVE-2023-39417 | 3 Debian, Postgresql, Redhat | 10 Debian Linux, Postgresql, Advanced Cluster Security and 7 more | 2024-12-23 | 7.5 High |
IN THE EXTENSION SCRIPT, a SQL Injection vulnerability was found in PostgreSQL if it uses @extowner@, @extschema@, or @extschema:...@ inside a quoting construct (dollar quoting, '', or ""). If an administrator has installed files of a vulnerable, trusted, non-bundled extension, an attacker with database-level CREATE privilege can execute arbitrary code as the bootstrap superuser.

CVE-2024-0985 | 2 Postgresql, Redhat | 7 Postgresql, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more | 2024-12-20 | 8 High |
Late privilege drop in REFRESH MATERIALIZED VIEW CONCURRENTLY in PostgreSQL allows an object creator to execute arbitrary SQL functions as the command issuer. The command intends to run SQL functions as the owner of the materialized view, enabling safe refresh of untrusted materialized views. The victim is a superuser or member of one of the attacker's roles. The attack requires luring the victim into running REFRESH MATERIALIZED VIEW CONCURRENTLY on the attacker's materialized view. Versions before PostgreSQL 16.2, 15.6, 14.11, 13.14, and 12.18 are affected.
CVE-2024-47613 | 2 Gstreamer Project, Redhat | 4 Gstreamer, Enterprise Linux, Rhel E4s and 1 more | 2024-12-19 | 9.8 Critical |
GStreamer is a library for constructing graphs of media-handling components. A null pointer dereference vulnerability has been identified in `gst_gdk_pixbuf_dec_flush` within `gstgdkpixbufdec.c`. This function invokes `memcpy`, using `out_pix` as the destination address. `out_pix` is expected to point to the frame 0 from the frame structure, which is read from the input file. However, in certain situations, it can points to a NULL frame, causing the subsequent call to `memcpy` to attempt writing to the null address (0x00), leading to a null pointer dereference. This vulnerability can result in a Denial of Service (DoS) by triggering a segmentation fault (SEGV). This vulnerability is fixed in 1.24.10. |
